Why do people hate neutral reporting?

No matter whether people seem to be politically to the right or left, they all watch or read from politically biased media. People seem to hate the neutral media such as C-Span. How come? Is it just boring to not get hammered with opinions all the time?

That's why I stopped watching TV altogether Kraut-Bro. I don't need someone else's opinion shoved down my throat.

because people want to hear opinions they agree with so they feel smart and comfortable

Neutral reporting always ends up corrupted by bias. It will never happen.
Also, the German government is keen on correcting your 'wrongthink' so a good majority of your taxes are actually contributing to this problem. You really should take some action in your local political scene to fix this.
Maybe a beer hall putsch is in order, desu?

Me, too. I read the local paper and talk to folks around town - that's all the news in which I'm interested.

This. Validation is the best political sedative.

We need neutral reporting. Like in the Hearst papers in the old days...

come here and let me shove something else down your throat.

They've been trained to need an interpreter to "know what something means". It's the reason all major news networks have a panel after an event takes place to explain to the audience why Republicans are evil and Democrats are good in any event. Or like with the the Roy Moore and Al Fraken scandals you should have started with
>WTF I FUCKING HATE RAPIST REPUBLICANS
and gone to
>WTF ALL POLITICIANS ARE BAD
once Democrat Al Fraken was reported to have raped someone and was stepping down, as opposed to
>WTF I FUCKING HATE RAPIST DEMOCRATS
Because the media has trained the audience that Democrats are literally good vs evil (republicans) and treat actions of them a such, ultimately trying to get you to conclude that
>haha looks like all politicians are bad better vote Democrat haha

The problem is not one person in the media thought to say
>Perhaps the behavior of these two men is not indicative of the Republican or Democrat's behavior, goals, and philosophy as a whole and is in fact counter to it
or
>What evidence is there that this event did not occur?

>neutral media

>Neutral reporting always ends up corrupted by bias. It will never happen.
I don't think so. When I watch C-Span it does not seem to be biased to me. The guy or woman who does the reporting typically does not present anything as his own opinion. It is more like "Law x was not passed in the Senate. All Republicans voted for it, 12 Democrats voted for it. The House before voted for it 283 to 216." Boring, but neutral.

>Also, the German government is keen on correcting your 'wrongthink' so a good majority of your taxes are actually contributing to this problem.
Correct. The German state funded media and most "private" media is trying to influence the general public. There are a few, very few German media outlets who report in a more facts based matter. One is e.g. the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, which some call "conservative leaning" or "business leaning", but I have read it for many years and all I can say is that it has a general tendency to report more on facts and why things are happening rather than to bluntly represent opinions.

>You really should take some action in your local political scene to fix this.
We cannot. The media would change if politics would change. But there is still a majority for left winged politics in Germany, partially because a large part of Germany was socialist for decades and partially because the other part of Germany is on a permanent guilt trip from ww2.

>Maybe a beer hall putsch is in order, desu?
The beer hall putsch was an utter disaster. It did not accomplish anything, except for being a matter of laughter. It was reported on page 5 or so in national news.

>>neutral media
You do know that America has laws which required neutral reporting until the 1980s?

////

In 1949, the FCC enacted a policy, referred to as the "Fairness Doctrine," for the purpose of ensuring balanced and fair coverage of all controversial issues by a broadcast station. The FCC adopted the view that station licensees were "public trustees," and, therefore, had an obligation to broadcast discussion of contrasting viewpoints on controversial issues of public importance. It was later established that stations should also actively seek out issues of importance to their community and air programming about those issues. During the 1980s, the Reagan Administration pressured the FCC to eliminate the fairness doctrine.

You know like I know that shit has gone right out the window.

CSPAN itself is not an entertaining channel unless you are really interested in seeing special interest groups make a statement before congress or really care about. Really only teens, young adults or druggies care about what they see on the news, they mostly just want to be entertained. In most cases unless you rely on government aid for 90%+ your income things don't really change depending on what policies are in place.

>Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
>Not Biased
You seem to still live in 2002. Faz is biased to the brink. Cuckservatives with a red paint job. There is at present no German newspaper, television or radio station that passes the bias test

Is that a younger Jessica Simpson?

I hate journalists. Those rats are the lowest lifeform you can find. Right there with the jews. We need to come up with a Final Solution for the (((Journalist Question))).

C-Span is not "entertaining" because they avoid to permanently spam you with opinions. Sure thing, if you want to hear one biased opinion every 5 seconds, you better watch CNN, CNBC, Fox News, NBC etc. But what if you don't want to listen to biased opinions and partial facts all the time? What then?

Jessica Simpson

>german?
>talking about msm and lies
>uses pic from a hollyjew movie
>CALLS SAID BITCH AUSTRIAN ARMY GRIL

god fucking damnit wherrs my flammenwerfer!

I have a friend from Belgium who refused to listen that neutral reporting should be the status quo and not opinionated bias reporting. He's a smart guy and I'm disappointed """they""" got to him. Today's news is riddled with pundits at lunch and dinner hours, the worst are the liberals who live and breathe it and are callous enough to suggest right wing media is biased; without any shred of decency or self awareness. Let's not even use the news, Colbert and Current Year Man Oliver are grossly biased and extremely opinionated yet they're the patron saints of modern Liberals.

The right is all Fox News while ignoring CNN'S blatant anti Republican slant is the millennials guide of interacting with world events.

I beg to differ Mongolia. Not all Journalists, but those who don't deserve to watch their families get disemboweled before they suffocate on a rope are very rare. That said, using chemical, biological or conventional weapons of mass destruction and target media houses most of the time doesn't lead to much value lost

I'm tired of my news being "reported" on by what looks like a Hooter's waitress staff and himbo men. I don't care what source it is, left or right leaning, fuck it. I don't want to hear some TV personality's opinion on the fucking news.

johan nordberg has the solution. we need more statistics and hard science because we are doing actually fucking great compared with not so long ago.

the good old days? they are right now.
in virtually every part we are doing massively better then 200 years ago.
for example extreme poverty globally is reduced from 90% (!!) to 9% in less then 200 years.

terrorism is actually far less then before

we are just living in times where conflict and negative bs is the only thing worth while for media to present to us.
and we eat it like sheep.

we've never had it better. yet we think we are in the worse times.
stop watching the media. stop going to boards like these. stop using social media.
and you life will increase dramatically.

but you won't will you...

>When I watch C-Span it does not seem to be biased to me.
that's because it's practically a raw feed. Everyone who works for it is a "matter-of-fact" news reader.

In America the "news reader" is dead. We now have "news pundits" with their opinions, scoffing, laughing and other talk-show style dogshit.

I don't watch the news anymore.

Look what a disaster this kind of reporting is to liberals for example. They honestly thought that Hillary was going to be president because the media was so biased in favor of Hillary no one was reporting on the facts.

>Neutral reporting always ends up corrupted by bias. It will never happen.
there are ways to actually do it. But if the system is rotten from the top down with made-up "ethics" and arrogance, then no, there can be no neutrality.

Every "neutral" source creates bias by what they choose to report and what they choose to ignore

People think Associated Press is neutral, it is absolutely fucking not. Reuters is also clearly biased when you look at patterns of reporting

>how can titlets even compete?

>hindsight intelligence.

even you didn't expect Trump to win user.

-people aren't rational
-people are emotional
-people are tribal and selfish and like picking teams
there you have it fuckface. what are you a fucking alien

>Every "neutral" source creates bias by what they choose to report and what they choose to ignore

Dude, it worked in the past. The way to report in a neutral matter is by asking yourself "what do I want to report" and then report the thing that you personally do not want to report right after that.

It requires quite some discipline to do so, but it was possible in the past.

>People think Associated Press is neutral, it is absolutely fucking not.
Not quite true, even though the AP can be biased in some respects. The AP however used by both right wing as well as left wing news outlets as a basic news source.

>-people aren't rational
>-people are emotional
>-people are tribal and selfish and like picking teams
All true, good analysis.

>there you have it fuckface. what are you a fucking alien
Totally uncalled for to put that into an otherwise well put post. Shame on you.

Valentine. Quel joli prénom !

>C-SPAN

Listen to the washington journal 7-10AM EST, shit's hilarious sometimes. Also, you can probably call in if you're German, they love foreign opinions.

The thing that drives almost all of people's actions is a desire to feel morally and intellectually superior to people who disagree with them.
