Oniisama e

Anyone here found it hard to treat this show seriously? I mean I like the visual direction but the mentality of the characters is like from 200 years ago. Their "problems" just come off as funny to me.

What ""problems""?

The petty drama is taken too seriously by the show's presentation as well as the characters which makes it comical. The whole thing has the "I'll take a potato chip, and eat it" feel.

I want to fuck Mariko so hard!

You need to treat it as pro wrestling.

Interesting take on them. The manga was written in the 70s and is written sort of like old books which have stories set in board schools.

Yes, the drama is too exaggerated, but I still enjoyed it when I watched it. Dezaki has this thing for melodrama and "shocking" reactions from the characters. It really works in Rose of Versailles where the setting (France near its revolution) really is a truly dramatic situation. Not so much on a school setting.

Maybe you will enjoy more this show if you like theater.

I actually did watch Rose of Versailles. It's the reason I got into Dezaki and have watched The Golgo and Cobra movies and Black Jack OVA since. What you're saying is right though, in RoV not only those types of attitudes are fitting for the setting but it was also good to have a main character that was above it all. In Oniisama the MC is sweapt by all the drama.
She is probably the only attractive character to me, all the rest are either average looking or handsome.

Its the sweet melodrama faggot, you're supposed to self insert either as a dramatic pretty girl or the proverbial male teacher that fucks them straight.

That's a beautiful Oscar.

Who was in the wrong here?

her dad

is it necessary to start with the 1973 show ? what is the best order to wwatch this show ?

There is no 1973 show.

What do you think the daughter of the pornography writer would think were I to write pornography about her?

but there is

But this thread isn't about Aim for the Ace.
It's about Oniisama e.

sorry my bad

If you need subs, the only order you can go with is the 1973 show, the 1979 movie and the few subbed episodes of the 1988 OVA series. Alternatively you can start with Shin Ace wo Nerae if you're okay with raws.

Thats hot

Is that your comment or hers?

It's almost as if its a drama about kids in high school or something

I'd say both.
Bet you she's kinky af.
