My brother married a woman he's been with since highschool. She's now pregnant and we were sure they'd be boys since the men on my side have all had boys for a long time with a few exceptions. Anyway it turns out my brothers first child is gunna be a girl come may. We're best friends and it's clear I'm going to be a significant person in her life. As Uncle to a first born girl you have an important responsibility. Your niece will not have any big brothers and you should fill that roll if you want her to steer her right. Protect her but allow her to rebel from her parents in a safe way. Basically, when her parent's "don't understand" her or are being too restrictive, provide those slight rebellions that let her feel like she's acting out without endangering her.

Plus, be slightly racist. Just enough that she think's you're a little racist but not so much that she doesn't see the truth in it.
