simply not true, US was close to 90% european all the way up to 70's. In 1965 immigration changed away from preferring western european immigration 250k a year to quadroupling it and allowing many other countries to immigrate and also illegal immigration started occurring massively from south america. The immigrants you talk about had nothing to do with building the US because they weren't even allowed to immigrate for the most part/the percentage was so tiny to be pretty much irellevant. So in a very real sense, no diversity had no part in allowing the US to prosper, infact a massive reason why the US is nearly bankrupt right now.
