how is this wrong?
The power plant is more efficient though, also if they'd deregulate diesel we'd have some nice biodiesel cars around.
we literally make electricity from running water
only a small fraction of all power is renewable. around 75+% is fossil based
So build nuclear plants.
This is not even remotely true.
A combustion engine can only turn about 10% of the energy in the fuel into kinetic energy (movement). All the other energy in the form of heat is completely lost and unused.
If you know use that fuel in a plant, you can use the heat to power turbines that produce electricity, therefore you get an Energy output that is about 3 to 4 times higher.
I know that it still a shitty option, but it is by far the less shitty option that we currently have.
Thank you for bringing reality to this shit show.
You forgot to show the refinery where all crude oil has to be boiled and distilled into gas/diesel. Then it gets to make more pollution in your car.
How much carbon based energy is required in the fabrication of Tesla car batteries? What is their average lifespan? How easy are they to recycle for reuse? The driving of the car is only a part of the actual energy cost of the vehicle.
