Turkey might have a few trump cards to express their opinions on the balances on middle east, it is still a US puppet no matter what. And quitting NATO will surely destroy the country. If the foreigner investment leaves the country, Turkey is completely finished as there is no alternative economic plan, or and useful production to keep it up. So Turkey is completely dependent on US and EU for the trade agreements and military protection. Therefore if Turkey is no longer useful for the West, it would already be finished. As you can see it is still somehow useful, because Erdogan is not actually betraying anyone although he seems to be.
