Shirogane goes to that school on a scholarship, instead of having his rich important family pay for it. He's an exception that exists outside the realm of her family's influence, she can't really touch him on that front.

He IS stomping them. He had a massive lead before his team even started fighting back, and it was only getting bigger. It looks like he would have had an easy victory without even lifting a finger.

I don´t think this was said anywhere. We just know that the previous president stepped down and Shiro moved in for him.

But she was also ruthless and didn't have her defusing trigger. She could very well have bullied the other candidates into forfeiting, like she did with Kamen Rider in this one. Odds are she didn't participate in those elections and was only scouted because of her overwhelming talent. Or she was supporting other candidate because of daddy orders which may explain a little about what's her dad's fucking deal with her.

Probably his opponent was some stuck up third year who tried to use that "pure" bullshit and got assimilated into the current SC. Might solve why the unknown third years don't get along with Shirogane.
