Could the United States have saved China immediately after World War II?
Yes. Chiang Kai-Shek lost because he was out of ammunition and food + had lost most of his equipment after beating the Japanese, then the Communists swooped in after hiding out in rural areas while building their support.
nah, when ur whole country consists out of peasants who support communist ideas because of muh worker rights you cant do anything but watch and die or flee like the kuomintang did
the US could have saved the entire world after ww2, we were the only ones with the bomb
no because CKS was far more incompetent than communists
yeah
people who thought killing sparrows was revolutionary struggle were better
also, China would probably be an impotent shithole, if it even existed
from a purely Chinese perspective, commies were lesser evil
>doesnt know about the Great Asian Wasteland
america should have gave japan hawaii and the phillipines
fuck commies
Had the bongs not rolled over so easily in Burma, Chiang could have been resupplied all along and been in better position to eventually confront Mao's gang. But that years long gap likely doomed his cause. The late 40's defeat had roots in that gap, which should never have happened.
>hiding out in rural areas
So like what RWDS will do when the Happening arrives?
communism was inevitable in China 1950
too many poor peasants fed up with their shitty situation + the whole anti-imperialist revolutions around around the world during the post-ww2 decolonization period
Yes. Read Retreat From Victory by Joseph McCarthy (yes, that McCarthy). He was right about every single thing he did, meaning that "McCarthyism" is another leftist lie. George Marshall was a massive traitor. He did everything he could to aid the Russians. He was a terrible general, made the best infantry unit in the entire army turn into the worst in a single year, played politics, diverted advancing US troops from the eastern front (which baffled the German generals who were on the run and knew they would lose if we attacked, and is why the east fell under communist control), and he pushed for us to get the Russians to help us against the Japs (by sacrificing the world to communism). He's the reason we used the atom bomb. We literally did not need to. The 500,000 projected casualties we'd suffer by land invasion? No one in the military actually agreed with that estimate that Marshall pulled out of his ass, and the Japs already had no navy. We were already shelling the mainland and had completely cut them off from the outside world.
Marshall convinced Roosevelt to betray the Chinese at the Yalta conference. He then forced the Chinese to make a cease fire with the commies, who were in a bad position. It gave them time to regroup so that when it ended, they overwhelmed the government.
George Marshall is the biggest traitor in American history, and Joe McCarthy one of the greatest heroes. Remember, the left have ALWAYS been evil liars. The stuff we're seeing in the modern day isn't new. Now we just have more technology to help parse through the shit.
Yes.
If the KMT had support from the US and if they won, the communists in Vietnam and Korea would lose. For the cold war it would also be more difficult for the USSR with both NATO on the west and a nationalist China on south east of their borders.
Chinese aren’t communism you retard, they’re closer to fascism.
Communists
>Rule 1, on page 1 of the book of war, is: "Do not march on Moscow". Various people have tried it, Napoleon and Hitler, and it is no good. That is the first rule. I do not know whether your Lordships will know
>Rule 2 of war. It is: "Do not go fighting with your land armies in China". It is a vast country, with no clearly defined objectives.
Very interesting stuff, user. Got any other stories?
Rule 3. Don’t invade Afghanistan. Various people have tried it and it’s no good.
>the "Russia can't be invaded" meme
Ever heard of this guy "Genghis Khan?"
>if genghis khan could do it so can I
in many ways russians are decendants of mongols
Not many armies can match the mobility of the Steppe horsemen, that and the extremely well maintained comm. lines brought the Mongols success over similar enemies, like the Kimeks or Cumans.
Meanwhile as pointed out, the Russians were always very Oriental, and their military stayed that way in their MO. For example, the Cossacks harassed Napoleon's army without any major engagement, but that wore down the French units.
Chiang Kai-Shek was an absolute dumbass, it doesn't matter how much equipment or support we gave him, he would have fucked it all up.
Indeed, he had zero management skills.
