Not really, unfortunately. I live in Kentucky, but the mountains are kinda far away. Though the Red River Gorge has some pretty beautiful hiking trails. And even though it's more caving, Mammoth Cave is nice too.

Most anime aren't finished being animated until relatively close to the airing date, within a couple of hours even for some studios (SHAFT). They've likely not even been hired on at this point.
