Its not self mutilation if it serves a function like how bruce jenner got out of jail for killing that poor woman
What exactly is this attempting to convey? What is the parallel irl? What needs to be cut off in order to get a job, what aspect of personality or... this shit doesn't make any sense
I guess this was before Patreon so he had to get a real job
It represents the puzzle piece cutting off its intuition in order to fit in a larger machine. Like the nazis in wwii
I feel this way sometimes. The way I see it its just cutting yourself up to get the job.Its painful, you dont like it and its prob not what you wanted. That is life though, but I do feel a great freedom in job hopping...although I also enjoy a stable work environment.
This is the only plausible explanation but it is so self-pitying and full of angsty whinging that it seems unreal. Is the 'artist' complaining because they have to adapt to professional work standards? Get a fucking job hippie, suck it up like everyone else in the world.
Going to school.
Getting out and realizing there are few jobs in your field.
Taking a job outside your field to get by.
Cutting off the portion you trained to fit into that job.
...
Why?
