>i am saying that it should be limited by specific recruitment requirements, as a limited solution to the problem he stated. But a professional military is unlikely to fulfill those requirements. Why would Ivan the Intelligent join the military, when he can go to a quality STEM university, get a degree, a good job, a nice house and a robot waifu? This is traditionally the problem of professional militaries. There aren't enough capable individuals joining up for them to be allowed into grunt roles. You score well in the tests, are smart? You get pushed into intel, nuke work, some maintenance, sigs, etc. I think the US military has a below 100IQ recruitment pool for its frontline units. There's just not enough capability in that group to actually reach that kind of quality. >Granted, the best solution is nothing less than massive changes in society, but that's a different sorry. True. People should hold in general hold more responsibility for the nation and should have a larger stake in it. Though at this point it would require genocide, or mass-exportations of migrants, to fix the fabric of society and regain ethnic and cultural unity. >but between nations that do not have assymetric warfare (think NATO & co, Russia, China etc.) as part of their doctrine But Russia is doing it in Ukraine right now. New Generation Warfare, as they call it, Hybrid Warfare in the west. Involves assymmetric war as a key part. It's the NGW that's partially got Europe so riled up. Small green men appearing in the country. Finland as well put far more emphasis on rapid readiness troops after Ukraine. youtube.com/watch?v=qqnvj7w8Nis > mass conscription in case of war between them is a big no-no, since it is both extremely expensive I have to disagree. The cost of war was stated as a reason why no war would occur both before WW1 and WW2. It's just not true. >Most nations simply cannot afford to conscript millions anymore. It's cheaper than professional though.

I wonder if the words "magus" and "mage" and "magic" come from majoos. >The term magic comes from the Old Persian magu, a word that applied to a form of religious functionary about which little is known. holy shit it probably is

>The cost of war was stated as a reason why no war would occur both before WW1 and WW2. It's just not true. They also ran the "muh world trade will prevent war" meme that neolibs love to claim the reason China and the US can't have a confrontation
Liam Morgan
Stalin literally did nothing wrong.

xth for dead Turks
Carter Edwards
The reason for that is because China can pull their foreign exchange and detonate the current economic model. Same goes for US of course. It's obviously not enough to stop anyone but it can happen.
Lincoln Reed
you only established that his Arabic is limited. I actually know a Tunisian irl who has a pretty limited Arabic too, he studied in French schools in Tunisia then moved to France as a kid.
Colton Turner
Yeah. Claiming nations are too interconnected for war to occur. Fucking delusional. Even now the West is full of fools and globalists who think there's never going to be any real war again, that history has ended and our shitty European Union, amongst others will give us eternal peace.
Samuel Baker
Fuck Iran, all glory to Sultan!
Brandon Smith
>I can't wait. Iraq was supposed to be one, but that kind of fell flat. Anyone who actually looked at the situation could have told you otherwise though, especially after Iraq was ground down in an 8 year war. That kind of stuff doesn't result in a good military, it results in one that got chewed up.
That and the US up until recently was very good with hiding casualties with media control

According to my ethnologic dictionary, magus (lat) comes from mugs (are) that comes from magush (persian) persian word's root may come from either "great" or "purify" magush in middle Persian empire were a sacerdotal class specialized in study of the occult, dream, necromancy, medicine, etc tribe of Levi in Israel had the same role as normal magush so maybe some of the deported kikes were from the tribe of Levi and gained teh name Majoos?

German fellow who asked what I majored in, it's law. Also I definitely agree with you about how great it was when there were 4-5 regulars and you got to see different sides of the conflict talk about their everyday struggles. You still get to see their sides of the story I guess, wasn't Homsi some massive Assad fanboy or something? Or was that Thirsty? Also I remember one of them having Alwite mother and Sunni father, which is extremely rare and interesting to see what it's like in the age of religious warfare.

You get pushed into intel, nuke work, some maintenance, sigs, etc. I think the US military has a below 100IQ recruitment pool for its frontline units. There's just not enough capability in that group to actually reach that kind of quality. Well, my train of thought stemmed from a solution to getting rid of slobs, unwilling idiots and other assorted trash from the military. But at this point, i can't argue because now that i thought about it you are right. The genepool simply isn't narrow enough to allow for a meticulous selection of good soldiers. Granted, i wasn't talking about "clever Ivan" i was talking more about choosing people who are of optimal physical strength, optical intelligence and above all, willing to fight. As far as Ukraine in concerned, it is a limited conflict where the pro-Russian side is forced into assymetric warfare because of an obvious difference in numbers between them and Ukraine. A full blown conflict between Russia and Ukraine for instance would only degenerate into assymetric warfare once the losing side really started losing, and also had the capability to wage such a war, due to distances and terrain involved, not counting the hefty price tag of a longer assymetric conflict. >I have to disagree. The cost of war was stated as a reason why no war would occur both before WW1 and WW2. It's just not true. Proxy conflicts, aka the absolute vast majority of wars after WW2 should not count tbqh.

May I ask which part of Syria you are from?

I see your point, you want a war that will sort out the trash from the good. Depends on who you fight and how far the nation you fight goes. If the US starts carpet bombing you and your civilian centers, all the while devastating your fleet and airforce and blockades you to all hell, i believe you wouldn't gain much from that tbqh. On a side note, are you a fa/tg/uy?

Marriage of most girls is completely decided by their parents, and the parents usually only care about how much money you have, so technically you can buy, but you have to marry, which isn't a big deal since it doesn't take much to divorce.

>Oh no it is the raperifle. I miss my raifu, desu. I could still strip her, my 133315, with my eyes closed. I can still almost feel the shape of her chamber on my fingeritps, the resistance of her barrel as I pound my cleaning rod into her depths, or her dull edges as I rub oil all over her insides. The oil she'd leak once I'd leave a plug inside her for hours, the smell of it. Even now I miss the weight of her, hanging by my side, my hand holding her by the magwell, leaning against a tree, trying not to freeze to death in a -40C forest. I won't even be given a rifle in my next refresher training, sadly. I really should get off my ass and buy my very own.
