Why haven't you read Bokurano?

Why haven't you read Bokurano?

Is it better than the animu? Then I might.

It's significantly better.

Then I shall.

I did. It depressed me to no end.
Having it end was relief.
No I read light fluff like Clockwork Planet.

Why did you continue reading if you didn't like it?

I liked Kitoh since Shadow Star. A couple of volumes in I was hooked on the story even if it depressed me.

It is just my favourite manga :/
I searched the 10th for 2 years and finally got it

still trying to get the Narutaru taste out of my head and eyes, see me in about a score of years as I might be ready by then.

Don't be a bitch

in what way?

The story is told differently, different events happen, the ending is different.

It's different.

>you must kill every single person in this planet

Sure, everyone dies, but at least it's not the typical "everyone dies a meaningless death" jap shlock like Saikano.

Well it was kinda meaningless considering the Zearth just goes to another universe and the game keeps going as it has. I seem to remember someone saying the game could come back to this earth at any time down the line as well.

I'll give it a try then, I've been avoiding it since Narutaru's ending was so terrible.

Because it hurts my feelings

They averted a world ending crisis that took billions of years to reach them and may take a billion more to come back around.

And in the process they destroyed like 10-12 other universes that were just like them. Just with less skilled/lucky pilots.

Its still a pretty depressing ending IMO.

i did

its edgy shit

>When Takami becomes the pilot
Fuck it still hurts

How is it edgy?

Anime final fight was like a typical shonen fight. Manga final fight was fittingly fucked up edge.

kids die one by one

UNINSTALL

I havent read it but I watched the anime.
Honestly, the first kid's death caught me off-guard, since I wasnt expecting that "detail" about piloting zearth.
Honestly, the only thing I didn't like was that fucking kids managed to beat 12 other mechs, when on several instances we see it's full-grown adults piloting for their own universes.
I'd recommend it.

The anime is trash

It's sad, not edgy.
Edgy would be kids being slaughtered and tortured, but they just pass away after their battles, often having made peace with themselves.

I have. It was super depressing, yet somehow good.

Understatement.

I mean, its not like piloting a mech is really a skill you gain in adulthood. They presumably all start from about the same level.

I'm a huge pleb user. Not everyone is an anime connoisseur.
Show the anime to any normie and they will likely tell you they liked it.

Read the manga

Well its kinda edgy, I don't necessarily mean in a negative way, but its got edge to it.

One child who causes Zearth to kill hundreds of people because he doesn't care, one kid stabbing another kid with a knife, one kid trying to whore herself out (for sympathetic reasons), one kid getting shot in the face, and then one kid killing literally everyone on earth.

Lots of kid related violence. I'd call that edgy, though I wouldn't necessarily use it as a criticism.

My friends are sorta normie, they thought it was really boring.

It's edgy, the fact thqt you're trying to make people think it's not, giving argumenta that make it look edgy, means you're an edgy kid.

Not gonna lie, this got me a lot.

>manga aiko was sassy but extremely amicable
>Anime somehow understood her character as a bratty spoiled girl

>one kid stabbing another kid with a knife, one kid trying to whore herself out (for sympathetic reasons), one kid getting shot in the face, and then one kid killing literally everyone on earth.

Does Bokurano takes place on USA?

You're minding your own business when this guy asks you to test his new videogame. He claims anither 11 anons have already accepted.
Do you accept?
What would your chair look like?

I've read it, and the reputation is probably why people don't read it.
Extremely sad and likely to make anyone depressed for a short period after reading it.

>short

There will be 12 worn out yellow stained office chairs with a catheter and bottle attached.

>make anyone depressed for a short period after reading it.

Bro, I'm from japan and i've been deprressed since it ended.

Fuck Kitoh

I'll bite this bait.

I can understand being depressed for a short period after reading it, but if you are actually ruined by it, how can you let fictional characters dictate how you feel in life?

Is Narutaru worth reading if I like this kind of story?

Narutaru is a mess

Well, what exactly do you mean with "this kind of story"?

It probably went over your head if you think that. Narutaru is filled to the brim with symbolism, many things don't make sense if you don't view them as metaphors.

Depressing psychological shit

if you like a trap boy being raped and decapitated sure

I'd accept no doubt
It would likely look like my father's office chair, I used to hang in there every weekend playing games on his old ass pc.
It's been 15 years since that.
I miss you old man

Goddamn user tag your fucking spoilers, I'm reading it and I know it's exactly who you're referring to.

Then mostly yes, though it's kinda different. It is certainly as cruel as Bokurano but it lacks the sense of utter hopelessness (well, with the exception of some "arcs") and is a bit more about mystery.

Narutaru is too over the top to be depressing.

It is admittingly over a decade old. I'd say the warranty on spoilers has kinda passed at this point

If I don't, someone else will and they'll do a bad job at it, so might as well.
I think I'd get a truck's chair.
