Its a metaphor for animation user, especially how the old art of "traditional hand drawn animation" is being rendered obsolete by the high tech rendering. I think you're off base a bit. It's a reasonable guess, but honestly the whole "technology vs. natural" is classic, it could be a metaphor for just about anything, or even nothing.

Right? I'm pretty unimpressed with the show in general up to this point, but Akko's VA has literally, emphatically been carrying it for me. In roughly half of the episodes, without specifically keeping it in mind, I've found myself taking notice of how exceptional her voice work is.

Diana very likely knows who Chariot is and how Croix is related but still trusts her instead of Croix. So clearly there is more to the story than we are led to believe just on Croix word alone who is shown to like to lie or spout half true information.

There is probably a reason Dianna hides the fact she is a fan of Chariot and it probably is later on in life she looked at the calendar and realised her inspiration was also a thief. It is possible this will be part of how to yay reboot Akko if Diana already went through the mental processing of Charoit/Croix betrayal.

She already knows given how she is talking in the current episode. She already looked up both Chariot/Croix and didn't find Ursula and unlike Akko she can probably figure out the connection.

I think it is the opposite given how she doesn't trust Croix but still trusts Chariot even though she probably knows why she lost magic way back.

More like Croix was always fighting in her mind about Chariot's shiny rod which lead to intrigue and betrayal.
