It's the ending that was the worst part of it all. Dude gets bullied for years and the one person he befriends betrays him and is the last face he sees before he dies.

Props to the author for the fakeout, but there was only a tiny bit of foreshadowing and it seemed too cruel. I guess it's a given that shady eyes is going to be important.
