I would have never voted Lega if they hadn't changed their views but Salvini succeeded in doing so. Now they have my vote. They also can't do much because the Italian constitution protects our territorial unity anyway.

They always use vague statements and only say that the immigration is unsustainable and that's all.

Just to add a bit to help all non Italians piece together how utterly full of crap the M5S are.
They were born as 'anti-chaste', anti-professional politician party, a party of people for the people where 'one counts as one'.
Logically, their candidate, Luigi Di Maio, is a 30 year old guy who never worked one day in his life, never finished his university studies, is a complete puppet (has been called 'a empty bottle': whatever you put in, will come out of his mouth), and is basically exactly the example of someone who has been earning 15k € per month as a parliament member and would have never earned 1/10th of that without him becoming a career politician.
Then again, there's the marvelous method on how they choose their candidates (or any policies they try to hold on for more than a month): the online voting on their blog!
Obviously, since there's absolutely no transparency, it's always adjusted to what Casaleggio and Grillo wanted.
In case of the candidates for the upcoming election, what they did was the absolute best.
'Everyone can be a candidate with the M5S, the ones most voted from the grassroots will be chosen'. Because, mind you 'WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER PARTIES WHO DECIDE THEIR CANDIDATES IN THE PARTY OFFICES'.
And then they proceed to exactly and absolutely do that.
They get 13k participants.
But then: 'We have to make sure that these are not "provokers" from other parties'. So the sitting party members and Di Maio eliminate roughly 6k of the candidates before the voting even take place. No motivations given except the generic one mentioned above.
Then there's the time to finally vote online.
Technical glitches aside, what do you expect after an online vote? To get to see the results some minutes after it's done.
IT TOOK THEM MORE THAN TEN DAYS TO PUBLISH THE INCOMPLETE RESULTS OF THE 'PARLAMENTARIE'. More than 10 days to count online votes.
