Both siblings always talk as if they had the same father, maybe Akira doesn't know or hopefully it was an error. The father appears in an extra page where the mom was telling Moyako how he proposed to her. They were childhood friends with the mom being older and like a sister to him.

He even used to call her Kiri-nee and seemed to be kind of a siscon, which makes Moyako believe that Akira inherited that trait.

That sounds like it's just an slightly awkward translation. In japan, 一親等 (first degree of kinship) only includes parents and children, not siblings, so they obviously fall under 二親等 (second degree of kinship), which is the word Moya-nee uses in the final chapter. There's nothing to imply that they're anything but full siblings.

So I guess all the crying over them being half siblings in these threads was just over a translation miss? Pretty funny if that's the case.
