I think the anime was going for making her look erotically creepy during those moments. To show how sexual and creepy she makes herself look like during those moments. In the manga it just makes her look like a severe pervert. Creepy, but in a different way. I still prefer how the manga does it, but I don't think the anime approach towards it is bad.

I'd agree they do sound the same on certain type of characters. But in my opinion when it comes to crazy girls, Mamiko is just much better at voicing them.

They only sound sorta similar when they are doing their soft voice for characters. Otherwise they don't sound the same at all. Noto definitely has more range then Hayami when it comes down to changes her speech dialects and her voice.

Hayami voice is easily discernible in what roles she does despite it sounded somewhat different from she may do with other characters. Noto on the other hand you won't recognize at times because her voice would sound completely different from one character she voice acts to the other depending on the role given to her.

I think it's the fact that you don't see Noto in any main roles lately. it's usually her voicing supporting cast members or villains. While you see Hayami voice a lot of main characters.

This will be twelve episodes, right? I wonder how much ground that will give them time to cover. Unless they want to end it right before the snap election, I can't really think of any spot where they could wrap things up neatly.

Big problem is Noto's agency isn't being more vocal enough to put her in the forefront as the best seiyuu. Japan needs to embrace the Christmas Cake more often instead ostracized it.

Yup. The facial expressions are half the fun of Kakegurui due to how sinister and wicked some characters get, and how horrified they get when they lose, and Yumeko's facial expressions the entire time, win or lose. She's having a ball as long as it's high stakes.

The female characters are ugly even when they don't make the tryhard "look I'm totally crazy!!" faces.

It's pretty hard to say that it is a harem. What the female MC feels towards him is ambiguous and she mainly messes around with her female friend Mary. Mary seems to be cool with Yumeko now and probably has a slight crush on him, but it mainly shown by tsundere actions. Ryota himself became to realize he he likes Yumeko, but hasn't really say anything about it too her.

Anyway this may be Hayami most crazy and dirtiest role yet based on how Yumeko gets when she starts to get really into the mood of gambling.

If I were to choose a VA for Yumeko, I'd choose Marina Inoue just for her performance as Sodachi in the Monogatari series. She nailed it in the range from cutesy to pissed off to downright insane in the span of a few episodes.

2nd choice would be Chiwa Saito, but then again this probably would be a poor choice because I feel like I'm just transplanting Hitagi's voice onto Yumeko.

In any case, I'm looking at Hayami's record now and it doesn't seem like she has any role like this. So it's a win for her to land a role that requires this much range.
