Oh, and I'll add to this by bringing up one major issue with how Emilia's platform is portrayed. The whole equality issue with Demihumans.

How often are Demihumans actually portrayed to have poor social standing? Every story I read, and most seem to get along just fine.

Its not even portrayed that way in the WN/LN/Manga, she's not on an equality for all platform. The Demihuman thing is weird, because it keeps being brought up like its a thing, but then it keeps not really being a thing. Bordeaux was being a dick to Emilia, but that was more a spawn of Satan thing, which he's probably not wrong about.

Other than that, its been brought up that Roswaal is weird for liking demihumans, but since he's about the only noble we see it doesn't come off as genuine. Crusch also has an apparent demihuman, but he's actually mostly a human with weird throwback shit for lol anime genetics, but even so she doesn't seem to mistreat anybody. And then there's Priscilla who is just a cunt to everyone equally, and Anastasia who is foreign and employs demihumans. Its just really weird. I think Tappei said there aren't any in any real governmental positions or among the knights in Lugnica, but that's still more stated than shown.

It's pretty much a sure thing that this becomes the dragon that helps seal the witch.

Is Lugnica supposed to be especially racist or something, relative to other countries? I mean, humans are just the highest population race, so of course there's more of them to get into government positions.

There's definitely historical demihuman discrimination, even a pretty major war with them when Wilhelm was younger, but it all seems to have mostly blown over. Roswaal being called a Demihuman lover probably has more to do with him having an excessive interest in demihumans. We don't really see anyone make a big deal about it.

Maybe. Gusteko doesn't seem like a fun place, but obviously Karararararagi has lots of demihumans, and Volachia had a crazy demihuman general, so they might not care much either. So yeah, its either Gusteko or Lugnica, though its probably Gusteko and they're probably just shady as fuck in general.

Yeah. I'm just kind of thinking that there's really nothing a King could do to improve the social standing of Demihumans at this stage. They don't seem to be unequal legally, and the discrimination doesn't seem to be severe enough that raising awareness would have any appreciable effect.

Even if there's some hypothetical strong racism in Gusteko, they wouldn't be able to do anything about that either.

That's why I suggest voting for Anastasia. At the very least, Julius is actually concerned about tangible issues that could be resolved through policy.
