Still no sequel

>Still no sequel.

Fucking why.

literally who? looks like capeshit.

T&B was fun.

There is no need user, movie already closed all the loose ends.

Honestly I have no idea, it's one of the best selling series in the last 10 years in japan. Fujoshi strong.

One of the funnest shows while airing.

Trying to find logic in the way Sunrise handles its properties is a lost cause.

They'll make a sequel when Japan is fully accustommed to gay marriage. Otherwise what's the point?

>movie already closed all the loose ends
What, did the second movie burn through all the Ouroboros stuff already? I forgot all about it and never watched it.

I'm so glad I discovered the Tiger and Bunny threads when it was airing. This was right around the time I was about to drop anime entirely, then this show brought it back for me.

I'm always down for more Kotetsu.

The Ouroboros issue would require a whole new season. The second movie just wrapped up the character arcs.

/thread

The higher-ups at Sunrise are salty that it did far better than they expected it to do.

Why? Something to do with the product placement?

What did they think about Mai Hime/Otome popularity while aired? Do you think we will have more Mai stuff in the future.

my favorite part of threads was the guy who kept posting: "why I dropped this shit show this week" for every episode, especially when it took 17 eps to get the 2nd opening
I mean at least they made some decent money off the side-material manga and movies, but yeah it was so episodic that it felt like there could've been more to it

Sifr OVA's did better than Otome series and Zwei. I wish the animator who did Queens Blade and Votoms Case:Irvine cont. more work right now.

They didn't think it'd do good, but then it was a hit and they were salty about being in the wrong

It's mostly rumors, but some think that the sunrise execs hated the franchise because not only was it more successful than they expected it to be, but also because it did better than the projects that they had actually wanted to be successful.

>movie already closed all the loose ends

Nah, movie barely touched upon the character arcs and did so in a rushed manner which I didn't really appreciate.

It's not just rumours; even the CGI animators stated that Sunrise had refused to give them the necessary budget even after it became clear the show would pay for itself many times over. The whole "we didn't print enough BDs but fuck you, we're not reprinting anything" fiasco also spoke volumes.

I want to be Kaede's step mom

And there's the creators who also got shit from other employees about the series.

Who needs to die at Sunrise so that we get more?

Are you talking about T&B, the Mai-franchise or both? I don't think Sunrise execs would hate the Mai-franchise because Shizuru was in the Top 5 Sunrise characters in a couple years ago.

He's talking bout T&B

What happened to him in the movie? Only wathched the show.

New Mai Hime series when?

never

Don't lie to me user

Soon

Oh, there's logic. T&B was actually fairly popular in Japan, it just isn't a property that can sell model kits and Bandai has literally no idea how to capitalize on a female fanbase and extract money out of them.

>fairly
Among the Sunrise properties, it was their biggest moneymaker for like two or three years.

I heard they gave T&B no budget whilst pumping all the money into Sacred Seven. Which then bombed whilst T&B was a huge seller.
