You remember her, right Sup Forumsnon?
Anyone else read the novel and manga too?

What's her name again?
Think hard on it, Taki-kun,
I really loved the novel, it gave a few more details on the thoughts behind the characters while also limiting what was shown in the movie to be only from the characters' first perspectives. Makes it worthwhile to remember the movie as I wait for the BDs to come out.
Just watched the movie and really loved it. It's a lot better than 5cms (which I thought was a good movie). Going to read the novel now.
The novel serves as a good warm-up for the upcoming spinoff novel Another Side, which will fill in on various characters' perspectives during the events of the film.
What sort of spin-off? Another novel?
It's strictly a spinoff novel (not a side story) that explores the perspectives of the characters shown on the cover while keeping in touch with the film's themes on connections. Won't come out till much later, but it's intriguing to read based on some Japanese readers' reviews.
Nice. Hope it'll get translated.
I WANT TO ADJUST MITSUHA'S BOW!
I-it's an intentional fashion sense! Don't laugh!
The US theatre run threads were some of the comfiest on Sup Forums in many years.
>tfw still no BDs
Fuck, I just want to buy this, why is it so hard.
The BDs were out for preorder like a month go. They're sold out now.
This is only just now showing in my town. And it's not a regular theater, but the fancy one that only shows indie films and serves beer. Should I still go by myself and get judged and laughed at by everyone attending, or just watch it online somewhere?
I agree, it felt so great to just share thoughts on the film and even discuss the little details found. I was really glad to have taken up on the recommendations to watch it again in theaters.
If I could hold her hand just once I would be smiling too big to laugh.
>theatre run
what
Depends if it's dubbed or subbed. I highly recommend making sure your first viewing experience is Japanese audio with subs, and if so, do go watch it if the theater display is big and hope for the audience to not be autistic spergs who laugh at the wrong moments.
Try to avoid watching it online for now because the rip quality is very poor and makes for a disservice to the film experience. Wait until the BDs are out for that to happen.
On Japan?
amazon.jp
There are still 3 versions for pre-order on Amazon, but I don't think they're Funi. But I can't see any information about Funi release even on their website. Can you link the pre-order listings or something?
I feel I haven't watched it enough times in the theatres.
I wonder if any other semi-wide release animu would cause the same, or if it was just Your Name's comfiness bringing people together. I imagine if Rebuild 4.0 had the same kind of release we would reach a shitposting meltdown point instead.

>waiting for my BD to get here
>back in April we actually thought we had to wait till Oct 31st for the BDs
