I miss this dork and her adorable smile.
I miss this dork and her adorable smile
When's the new volume aaaaaa
New season soon.
What? This garbage actually got a S2? I thought the ratings had plumbeted after the second episode and the shit had sub-par sales.
>Garbage
Okay It may have been the most boring shogi show ever but it was beautifully animated.
Don't question the power of NHK
no doujinshi
Second best girl after step sister
Well you're going to keep on missing that smile in S2, it'll be gone for good soon enough
It's a government funded anime. They give no fucks about ratings or blu-rays.
Do not Sexualize the sisters.
Have hope.
>tfw you'll never call Akari-san mommy while resting in her ample bosom
It hurts.
I SAID STOP
There were a few. I really like Suga Hideo, so hopefully he'll do more when S2 comes.
Kyouko is fair game for lewding though, right?
I'm up for that.
I wanna eat those cats
what the fuck
I'm the only one that loved this show? I really hope the next season is the ending, I think the main themes are already covered well enough and the only thing left is to see the conclusion, adding more shit would be really unnecessary.
If I got things right MC-kun(that for some fucking reason I never remember his name) was actually in love with her and that's the reason he decided to leave(abandoned her) which resulted in her doing crazy shit like sleeping with old men to look for MC-kun attention, and everyone's attention actually, what a pussy, not fucking sweet nee-san because muh family values.
But my natural instincts.

>I'm the only one that loved this show?
No.
> the next season is the ending
Also no.
> the only thing left is to see the conclusion
You what? Even excluding stuff that you wouldn't know about yet as an animefag, you've clearly got a whole plot regarding his family that hasn't been delved into.
Like? Well you right, I haven't read the manga but still, anything else would seem unnecessary, the only character/aspect of the series I can think of was left aside is the little brother, and Souya but that's exactly the conclusion i'm waiting for so it doesn't count for what i'm saying. My only complaint about the show is that it seems to drag things out way too long, but with a little of patience is not much of an issue, but I guess I have no other option than wait and see.
>Like?
You mean the "stuff you wouldn't know about"? If so, lots of family and bullying issues with the sisters, including their deadbeat father trying to come back. There's also some side characters with really nice small arcs.
If you mean the plot about MC's family, then I'm not sure how you could miss that. He's got a bad relationship with his adopted dad, a complete wreck of a relationship with his adopted sister, who's got all her own problems, and there's Gotoh's tangled relationship with all three of them, which hasn't even been fully explained, let alone resolved.
>the little brother
The who?
>The who?
Oh, I just remembered he existed, nevermind.
it's not even like the story is that bad as a concept, the manga portrays it really well, just absolutely horrendous pacing, storyboarding, directing, and mediocre voice acting,
The Shogi sections of the story were boring as fuck.
Everything else was pretty awesome.
Art/Animation is is fucking incredible though.
SHAFT's style I think fits this series rather well.
...yes? I do know all of that, and that's what i'm saying, we know that already, what is left to see is how things will sort out now, how MC-kun will deal with all these problems, adding more and more problems seems unnecessary.
>spoiler
See, things like this are the ones i'm talking about, I don't see the point since the characters are already established and we already know their lives hasn't been all pink and perfect all this time, it would have been better to just "kill off" the dad together with the mom.
>The who?
Exactly, Kyouko have a little brother that "abandoned" life due to the whole issue of their jerk father, we didn't hear about him much after that.
> how things will sort out now, how MC-kun will deal with all these problems
Dealing with a huge clusterfuck of problems isn't just "the conclusion," user. That's a whole story's worth of things right there.
> I don't see the point since the characters are already established and we already know their lives hasn't been all pink and perfect all this time
I don't even get the logic behind this. Characters being established means that there's no point to anything else involving them? The point is that it's good shit in its own right, helps develop Rei as a person and in relation to their family further (and helps develop Hina, too), and plays into the story's recurrent theme of different kinds of family problems.
From reading the atogaki of the few het 3gatsu doujin that are out, it seems like doujinka are reluctant to make lewd doujinshi of this series because of how much respect they have for it.
Of course the fujoshi artists are as shameless as ever and have no such qualms.
They loved each other like brother and sister, with some sexual attraction on his part; it doesn't seem to have gone a lot deeper than that. He felt guilty for taking her father's love from her.
Kyouko pleases old men because she longs for her father's attention, which she thinks Rei stole from her since he was better at shogi than she was.
The bits where they're talking about Shogi are boring. The artwork and the ambience during the actual matches (at least the ones that focus on Rei) are fantastic.
>The bits where they're talking about Shogi are boring.
The thing that I always hated was I could never care about Shogi at all.
Chihayafuru does this really well.
I can't wait for her haircut. And he's the most JC-looking JK.
>government funded anime
