Last episode was the "joke" episode of the season. The best part was them actually meeting an alien at the end. He handed them a book with all the answers to the questions whose truth they were searching for. Mulder look at it and simply said "Thats it!?"
Also the alien said none of the alien races liked humans, and they were going to build a space wall around our solar system. He said they didn't want us bringing crime and drugs, and that we were rapists. He then boarded his ship and did the Trump bing, bing, bing, bong as he left.

Maybe if you're thirteen years old. Season 10 and 11 of X-Files feature junior-high-tier writing in which characters suddenly give awkwardly placed, unnaturally spoken little speeches about the NWO or corporate America, etc. It's absolutely amateur to have your fictional characters stop what they're doing and deliver a mini-speech to reflect your own ideas.
tl;dr --- The show is shit, and it's always been shit since they started getting campy and stupid around season five.
