I eat healthy and I'm in reasonably good shape. I can tell you, unequovically, that McDonalds still tastes better than 98% of the stuff I usually eat at home.

Chuck is about $4.50/lb. Potato rolls are about $2.50 for a bag of 12, we will use $0.83 worth of them for the ground beef. I won't include the price of salt and pepper since they are negligible and will last a great deal of meals.

With this, you could make 4 burgers that are of much better quality than that of McDonald's for about $1.58 each.

It takes about 5 minutes to make a burger, the same amount of time it takes to go through the McDonald's drive thru. If you are really fighting for time then simply make them the night before.
