Eh, still don't make it.

So has anyone from /fit/ raise a shit about this manga yet? I get the feeling someone would.

underage

>your gf
Cool but I want a sex coach.

>needing coaching to do sex

it's not that hard. Move around the body, don't stick in the wrong hole.

That's my wife!

>tfw lost all motivation to work out. Haven't been to a gym in like 3 months.
I just can't get pumped up or excited to work out anymore =/

who are you quoting?

What?

Some allegations of broscience but well received overall.

This is my favorite

Her screen time got butchered.

>Your favorite will become your gf afterwards.
As much as I like Hibiki, she isn't mai waifu. I rather we stay friends.

Ah. cake or boxing girl, then.

>Some allegations of broscience but well received overall.
The art is "nice" but that's it. The lifting aspect is straight retarded, specially when it comes to the lifting form depicted in the manga.

For example, this pic is from the latest chapter and it talks about dead lifts which is one of the best lifts, specially for strongman training. The lifting part is correct I guess, because the idea is to rip the bar straight, vertically up from the floor to your thighs, but the setting up to the bar, which is the most important part isn't right.

The bar's weight should be in mid foot and the bar should be touching your shin in order to prevent the bar from moving forwards or backwards and wasting energy. Leg width differs from person to person, so does your "gaze" since some people prefer to have a neutral spine when dead lifting. The "center of gravity on the butt" part is completely incorrect, specially when lifting heavy. In the page where they actually deadlift the form is actually pretty bad or you could say weak because her grip is too narrow, she's using a mixed grip, she's also using a belt when there's only 2 fucking plates.

>she's using a mixed grip
What's the problem with that?

I don't want Hibiki to make it
She should get thicker instead

Does someone have a pic of the author? Im wondering if the guy even goes to the gym.

You don't need a mixed grip to lift 2plaet

Using a mixed grip promotes uneven upper back. One side will be bigger than the other. It also risks bicep tearing. It's much better to focus on just using a hook grip if the weight is too heavy or use straps. You can use mixed grip if it's for your one rep max but I suggest just trying to improve your grip strength by doing farmers walk or heavy as shrugs.

Also in this pic it's telling you not to use your "thighs" which is I'm guessing it's saying don't use quads, which is very, very wrong. You want to use everything you can for a deadlift since it puts so much stress on your body.

Use your traps, lats, forearms, glutes, hamstrings, quads and make sure that you're flexible enough to prevent pulling anything.

This is what a nice deadlift looks like imo.

Everyone's different, I use mixed grip to lift 1 plate.

What was the page where nihongonese people post their artworks again? I have a few good ones related to this thread

I was too sucked into the fun of the manga to realize how some of the stuff are not right. Obviously, people shouldn't read this manga as a bible to lifting but not everything is incorrect. I don't think anything on the dumbbell chapter is wrong.

And, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't sensei more of a cardio worker? She isn't trying to get muscular, she's trying to slim down for her cosplay. She might be using the belt and mix grip because she isn't used to it? Dunno.

Holy shit I just realize how fucking wrong this is. I hope it's a mistranslation because if you're deadlifting with just your back you're gonna cripple yourself.

>tfw heavy lifter
>mfw author is sending weebs who take fitness advice from a manga a one way ticket to snap city

lmao. What an asshole.

Can someone give me sauce on this fun looking manga?

How many kilos are the dumbbell you lift?

30 pounds so roughly 13.6 kg

It was the translated name, baka.

Also, wont you fall over if you use fucking chairs for dips?

You will
t. used chairs for dips

nice thanks

Yes, you'll fuck everything up.

Author is a madman.

Yeah that's fucked. The author is trying to trick nips into injuring themselves.

Yes. That's why you use a bench. I'm sure he just used chairs for the punchline.

It worked just fine with my chairs though

Not really, depends on how stable the chairs are.

That shit isn't stable, and if you're unlucky the chairs are gonna slip and you'll fall on your face. Just use a bench or a table.

The gym is a temple. No whores should be allowed inside.

I like my deadlifts to feel like leg press but holding you back straight and shoulders back.

Why do anime girls even work out? They are all like 30-40kg, on the other hand I prefer them soft.

I prefer mine with big tits

Pls post more hime

>tfw lifting cures cippling depression

You sound like a fun person.

The advice they give is downright wrong most times and can lead to injury. Who knows how many people would take this shit seriously even if you don't.

Criticism is welcome in times such as these.

Any recreative activity does.

You're probably unaware of the dangers to your body because of lifting incorrectly.

4plaet here, you can ignore me if you want
>she's using a mixed grip
Nothing wrong with mixed grip, people like to say that it's wrong to use mixed grip when you're able to avoid it but no long term tests have shown any kind of deficiency or unevenness in development from using mixed grip, that's just broscience you're passing as hard science. And if for some mental jacking off reason you feel that way, the obvious solution is to simply alternate your mix between dedlift sessions.
>she's also using a belt when there's only 2 fucking plates
Here I'm not sure what to say, on one hand, a woman lifting two plates is not something common, hell, I hardly see them do that. And there are dudes that use belts for 3 plates. I don't judge since they might have a condition, or maybe they feel safe that way. It doesn't affect the lift imo, and it's not like they are competing, so whatever.

I agree that one should learn lifting from good resources, this manga ain't one of those.

Using a belt takes away a lot of stress from your core. What's the point of using a belt when you're lifting light weights? It's obviously better to just use lighter weights for deadlifting if your core NEEDS a belt to lift 2 plates.

>Mixed grip leading to uneven traps is bro science
You don't even have to research it to know that it will lead to uneven upper back. Just try tightening your lats with a supine grip then a prone grip, you can feel a huge difference. There's also plenty of people that have switched to double overhand from lifting mixed grip for years because they started seeing how fucked up their back is. One example off the top of my head is Alan Thrall from Train Untamed on youtube. He talks about how he used to have uneven upper back and noticed it was because of dead lifting with a mixed grip for years.

>Not the instructor
Guy is swole as a god I would never skip a gym day if that guy was my gym bro.
For any of the girls I would be too distracted

>tfw I wannabe a shredded sickcunt but I'm too shy to go to the gym
S-Senpai!

Unless those are some really bottom heavy chairs or the person involved weighs practically nothing yes, I should know.

Just do it I was a fat fuck one year ago sitting at 380lbs and I lost 70 lbs in that period when I though I was too far gone.

The harder part is to start, the first 2 month were hell on earth but now I'm good but still need to work and lost 40lbs more.

Remember you do it for yourself not the other.

304 lbs* my bad I can't into US measure.

It's a small gym, that's what I'm afraid of. We only have one bench and it closes at 2200. So no obscure times. My form and weight will be super shitty at first.

>Training with cute girls
If I want to train I would easily pick a muscly dude as my mentor over these cows

Why do people need to find a gym to work out? There's plenty of exercises you can do without equipment. The least you can do is buy a bench or just use one at a park.

Right, because working out in public is less embarrassing.

>These are your gym buddies until you make it.
We're in for the long haul here girls.

Stop being such a faggot. Wear a hoodie and sweatpants. Put on your earphones.

Despite all my social anxiety I've never had any problems going to the gym. I just can't empathize. I've never been in terrible shape though so no insecurities there.

Bruh
Senpai

What's the alternative of not working out then? You'll just sit at home behind your computer and be a miserable cunt? Nothing will change.
You really that embarrassed that other people will watch you? You worried that you'll look like shit?
Guess what, everyone starts out somewhere. We all looked like shit. Nobody was born jacked.

The only people who will laugh at you are sad cunts with big egos who need outside validation because they can't fit in. The only people who will laugh at you are pathetic losers who hate the idea that you're improving yourself, because it forces them to acknowledge that they can improve themselves too, but they're too fucking lazy and complacent with their miserable lives to change anything. They hate themselves don't wanna do anything about it so they lash at people who do.

Don't be a sad cunt, sempai

This is kinda helpful but all the people at the gym are already improving themselves.
But eventually I will get over my fear and be less insecure from that point on, I guess.

>There's plenty of exercises you can do without equipment.
Mind linking to a good guide?

>no hips
>no ass

That's why they go to the gym, user. Don't be so mean. They are trying unlike most here.

Nigga who cares? He draws sexy cute girls in skimpy gym wear. I couldn't careless so long as my dick is happy.

hips are bones, those girls dont have that

The belt thing I agree, but like I said, if it makes people feel safe and they are not competing and are not looking to compete, it's their fault and I'm not paid to instruct them... that said, here the instructor shouldn't advise the belt, like you said.

>You don't even have to research it to know that it will lead to uneven upper back
That's the thing, we assume (or I used to assume) that, but then I was reviewing some DL videos because I wasn't making progress, some doctor was talking about how to set yourself up for the lift, the mechanics, and all that.
I think what you're referring to is that when we sometimes DL, there's like torque applied in the lift and it makes us swing one way or another, even if we don't completely notice it. Resisting this torque is what might make the lifters compensate with their back in a way that makes them uneven or fucked up if badly done. Now, I'm not a doctor or a biologist, so I'd need to research it more, but I feel that'd be genetics, how your body works with the lift, how you develop, etc.
I don't DL 5 plate for 1RM, so maybe I'm not at the point where I notice those issues yet.
I did that thing with my lats, and when tightened in the way I set up for my DL I barely notice a difference, only like something almost in the scapula. The scapula is a tiny bit closer to the spine with underhand than with overhand, but I think it has to do with your ability to rotate the hand without rotating your humerus (bis and tris) at all or much. I fail to see how in my case that would change the lat work. Maybe Alan has a different rotation, scapula (I have huge winged ones) and so on.
I'm not saying it's wrong (or right) but lets also remember that biomechanics in lifting is not a yes no case, but rather a "depends" because of how each one is built.

Where is my gains Hime?

Honestly I would drop the degree I'm working on without a second thought and start lifting 24/7.

Why not both?

The first girl to show me the armpits will become my favourite.

lmao 2plate

If I recall, one of the chapters, maybe the squat chapter, had an absolute fucked form diagram that would be impossible to balance with.

So yeah, just read for the cute girls lifting cute weights.

Lifting also causes autism.

There is nothing wrong with being a happy autist.

Oh you're preaching to the choir. I just thought people should be aware as it's one of the most extreme types of autism known to man.

t. dyel

Actually you're the one who's suspect, how have you made substantial natty gains becoming both strong and aesthetic without being autistic about your eating and programming? Don't worry, user, just embrase the autistic label; it's not derogatory.

>gaze out
>not at a fixed point at 45deg up from standing

What makes lifting appealing?

I think it's supposed to cure my autism. That hasn't happened yet, but I keep lifting in hopes of that.

I still don't get it. I've tried working out for a while a few times, but I'm a total bitch that can't handle getting sore all the time, so I always pussy out

DOMS become much less of a problem once your muscles get used to it.
