Speaking of Ranma, I'm watching it for the first time and there's 140+ episodes. I've heard a bunch of it is filler - is there any that's a-okay to skip? Not that I mind watching it all.

"Filler". It's a comedy series. None of it is important. There's no real progression.
That said, anime original stories tend to be not as fun, so take that into consideration.

The OAVs adapt some of the best arcs in the series, and the movies are anime originals that are actually fun.

Also, fair warning: season 3 of Ranma 1/2's tv animation takes a steep nosedive into QUALITY and never pulls out of it. The OAVs and movies are where you'll find good animation after that.

Is there any order to the movies/ovas to watch? Both in terms of each other and in terms of the show's seasons.

Obviously movie 1 comes before movie 2. The OAVs don't really have a timeline because they're adapted from arcs with a lot of space between them in the manga. If you MUST have a watch order for the OAVs, just do it by video release date.

The only big thing is that you should watch movie 2 before the OVAs, since it gets referenced a couple of times in one of the episodes. It's nothing big though, just a picture and a cameo.
