Do you guys like Boku no Hero?

Do you guys like Boku no Hero?
I love it, I think it's one of the first anime in a long time that's an epic.

I loved the character development and the situations Midoryia was put through and how he gains confidence through each of them.

Who're your favorite characters?

Stop being an underage spic

>I loved the character development and the situations Midoryia
All he does is feel sorry for himself, that's all almost any of them do.

But then he's motivated.
You could argue the same for Evangilon, and it's even worse there.

I think it's just progress.

yeah its like epic ftw (for the win) lol

When I meant epic, I meant in the literal sense. DBZ is an epic, Evangilon, Gurren Laggan. They're all epics. Legendary battles of grand scale.
(Fighting across space, gigantic objects etc.)

Can you not be an autist for five minutes and give feedback rather than trying to meme a word thats been misused by 12 year olds because its been over used?

wtf bro

I always find posts like OP's strange.

I don't think Sup Forums threads are suited for positive discussino OP, there's not that much to talk about except "yeah it's p.great my favorite character is X". Positive feels "reddit-ish" when you see it on Sup Forums for some reason, particularly for popular manga and anime, some here might remember early MHA manga discussions being completely different for obvious reasons. On the other hand, negative stuff has more room for discussion and constant back-and-forth shit flinging, with long arguments that may never actually end. What I'm saying is: you'll get shitposted to death by those who have a lot of complaints to talk about, and no one who actually likes MHA will come here to express, unless it's by replying to those posts from non-fans or to say who's the best waifu. To correctly start a discussion here, you can't just invite people to talk about why something's so good, you have to bait them by saying it or their female character of choice is shit, then hope an actual discussion will evolve from there.

That being said, Tokoyami a best. I hope our boy gets to be relevant soon.

Holy shit, he gets it.

Thanks for explaining it. I guess the negativity is what prevents Sup Forums from being a circle jerk.

Conflict does tend to be more attractive.

It makes the idiom "You attract more flies with honey than vinegar" a bit ironic.

It's ironic in and of itself because most flies are more attracted to vinegar.

MHA is dogshit, the only reason I still read it is in hopes that Kendou and Monoma get transferred to Class A.

Will they animate whole manga or just drops somewhere?
I kinda dropped manga halfway wondering if i should just watch the anime or just catch up to newest ch.

I'm only watching MHA for the frog
Frog best girl

...

her tits are surprisingly big for a frog

You must be an idiot. Literally every fight in the anime has happened at the school. Fuck off about grand scale.

Season 2 will stop after the next ~12 episodes, the manga has over 140 chapters atm with enough material for a 2-cour Season 3 and beyond. You'll probably have to wait a year or more for said season. With that knowledge, it's up to you and how much you want to follow the story. The anime is being extremely faithful to the manga though, down to the drawings, they take very few and tiny liberties with the source material so it's not too much of a different experience, and the mangaka is such an amazing artist that most of the time you're getting an equal or even higher art quality by reading it instead of watching it.

il prolly just watch the remainder of the season and then just read the manga.

>I think it's one of the first anime in a long time that's an epic.
Stop.

But the flies here are attracted to concentrated shit more than anything.

Fresh Kendo
Say something nice about her

Unlikeable mc and unappealing character design.

>Unlikable mc
That's your opinion. I empathize with deku's struggles, especially how he's always dropping his spaghetti.
>Unappealing character design
Literally every girl is best girl, and every boy is best boy. The art is one of the best things about academia senpai.

>every boy

So you watched it?

Not him, but OP said anime.

Yeah it's great. It's one of the only anime I've seen that got me to read the manga. I watched the first season of it, and initially I was just planning on waiting for all of the 2nd season to be made so I could watch it all at once, but I ended up getting really impatient and went in full force on the manga. I would recommend the manga, it's got some fantastic art and in typical fashion, is much farther along than the anime adaptation.

>It's one of the only anime I've seen that got me to read the manga.

>Please ignore my opinions and rape my face.

He is motivated to punch harder.

Seriously, in a series with many differnt powers it went down the HxH route and took the worst fucking power there is in terms of entertainment.

No if you have read the manga.

>the anime is an epic
>no, every fight in the anime has happened in a school
>BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MANGA
No one's fucking talking about the manga, you sperg.

Is it agreed that she's the weakest of the BIG 3?

We haven't seen enough of her, but it seems like she's just a good ol' long range dps powerhouse like Endeavor, Todoroki and that Wind guy.
I'm sure she's super powerful but probably won't get a lot of play since her power is simple

all right. 13/14 boys are best boys. and thats just counting 1A

Speaking of BnHA, what's the best place to read it?

I would date her

I will never understand how did Koda and Invisigirl pass the robot test.
Like, how?

I don't understand how he passed ANY test, he's probably the weakest hero

there has to be something he hasn't shown yet
one day he will be pushed into a corner and we'll see what his quirk is truly capable of

He speaks to animals and they do what he tells them to.
It's a strong quirk mind you, you can do a lot with it.
But non of it includes destroying robots in a secluded and closed off urban area devoid of any animals.
The only thing I can think of is he randomly brought a bunch of ferrets that crawled inside robots and chewed their wires. Fuck I dunno

Maybe she has super swole Popeye forearms, and punched the shit out of them.

>shounen
>character development
I think you meant power-ups.

>devoid of any animals.
Ants can fuck up electronics big time.

were tools allowed to begin with? no way big lips could have done shit without sweets.

Doesn't he have a phobia of insects?

>pick a western hero/capeshit concept
>vomit shounenshit all over it
>shounenshit tournament

>monoma in class a
Stop following the series already

How did he pass the exam
This is a question that irritates me whenever I see him

>He is motivated to punch harder.
He was first motivated to just punch weaker and without hurting his body. Only after that could he be motivated to needing to punch harder.

Besides, a major point was how Deku needs to learn to differentiate himself from All Might, and one way he's doing it is developing his shoot style and focusing on his legs instead of punching.

It's pretty cool, but it's full of problems. If it were around in ~2004 it would've struggled to stay afloat, but as it stands, Jump pretty much just has it and One Piece. And that other piece of shit I can't be bothered to remember the name of.

Throw sticky balls in the joints of robots, making them unable to move or attack. One way of disabling an enemy. Plus there could have been situations where he might've earned rescue points as well.

Haikyuu?

>Haikyuu?
Does sports manga really count in the same category as a battle shonen? If anything, Jump's new core "plucky heroes beating shit up" line up is BnHA, One Piece, and Black Clover, now that Toriko is gone.

Regardless of genre, if a manga is a hit then Jump's going to rely on it. Last year Haikyu sold more than MHA, and the only Jump series that sold more were One Piece (naturally) and Assassination Classroom, which ended. Plus it usually does pretty well in the rankings, higher than Black Clover.

>but it's full of problems.
Like?

> If it were around in ~2004 it would've struggled to stay afloat
If anything it would have been even more popular, if shit like Reborn, D. Grayman could become hits than pretty much anything can

But are the boys pretty enough for the yaoi fangirls?

>I love it, I think it's one of the first anime in a long time that's an epic.
Are you new to anime?

>You have to look pretty to appease yaoi fangirls

KEK

everyon loves salt

I thought the first two episodes were really great. The rest of season 1 wasn't as good but was still pretty good, and I was excited for season 2. I'm disappointed with season 2 overall, the entire tournament felt like filler and the writers kept jerking off Todoroki. I don't mind his personality but they make him so retardedly strong that he only loses when he wants to; everyone else has some sort of weakness, his is only getting cold which he can immediately get rid of if he feels like it. Really made me dislike the character. Also feels like Bakugou was only there to be the butt of jokes when really I gave much more of a shit about him because he actually struggles and overcomes in his fights.

Also sad that All Might has basically disappeared since he was my favorite character, but I understand he's not supposed to be overshadowing everyone else constantly.

Meh, I think Deku'll eventually learn to punch if only because Deku punching looks fucking amazing.

...

Don't bully the anime only, user-kun

>his is only getting cold which he can immediately get rid of if he feels like it
That's the power of eugenics baby

I like it, Deku is a pretty nice main character and most of the secondary characters are good. I think it has the best heroines ever put into a battle shonen, sans probably Rukia. Art is nice and the OST is kicking, on top of it its arcs don't take forever to resolve, if this was by Kishimoto or Oda Stain would've took 100+ chapters before being defeated. It's refreshing to see.

That said, I don't think I'll keep following it, the more it goes on the more it shows a lot of the problems Naruto had. The most glaring one at the moment is the character of Bakugou, which from what I'm seeing it's the biggest deterrent that keeps some people to actually get into it.
Like, the best things about Deku and All Might is that, despite being a crybaby and a shit teacher (like most characters in those roles usually are in shonen), they know it, get called out on it, and try to do good by acknowledging it. Bakugou is your typical "too cool for school" Sasuke-ish character, but the TWEEST is that he too gets called on it and it backfires on him!!!... except not really, the consequences he faces are really really minor, they never seriously give him a serious disadvantage.
Also most of the villains are shit, either for who they are or for how they're used by the author, a pretty big flaw in a shonen about superheroes.

>Unappealing character design.

I fucking hate almost every hero costume with the exception of All Might, Aizawa, Tsu and Uraraka. They look tacky as fuck.

Can Hagakure turn visible or is she always invisible?

Because if she were to draw a robot after her and then turn invisible and dodged so that it shot another robot behind her then I could see her getting a couple of them

Aoyama had his belt

And presumably Kyoka had her knee pads

>They look tacky as fuck
>Like's All Might's costume
u wot?

How is Denki's costume tacky but All Might's not?

She's always invisible. There were panels on the backs of the robots to shut them that way for stealth heroes.

what a doting father

>Like's
oops.

This.

Bakugo fans are constantly saying he gets shit on, but he never does. He basically always comes out on top

All Might's fits his aesthetic of silver age hero.

I like it because it's bright and eye-catching without having any stupid additions, like Deku's mask or Bakugo's grenade launchers (I know they're purpose but they look so godamnned stupid)

>his idol chose deku as his prtege
>nobody take him seriusly or acknolage him most of the time
>only 2 people in the hole class actualy wanted to rescue him
and he didnt got his license on his first try unlike deku and the rest, he is an asshole but he gets shit on

>Dissing Gon's power
What the shit man
I thought everyone got that he's supposed to be the antithesis of the typical shonen MC with the coolest/strongest ability, his power being boring and his power level not being the highest in every situation is what makes the idea of self-improvement throughout the show really hit home, he's got to work to actually get shit done instead of having everything be a guaranteed win from the word "go"
Hero Academia's spent a lot more time on its characters' personalities and stories than their training, but the same general message gets through

hori is a hit or miss on costume desing

Fuck you that's pretty damn cool

I mean he's still Tapeman but the costume isn't bad

This
It's the coolest possible design they could've given a human tape dispenser

yea is one of my favorites

I'll have to add this to my approved costume like.

That's clean as fuck for someone who basically amounts to tape spider man

*List

what about kek's favorite girl?

...

He has a phobia of insects because otherwise he would be competent, insect control is a fucking broken power. He's also too much of an animal lover to actually use them in combat.

My bet is that he's going to do kiddy shit/environmental PSAs. I mean his hero name is gay as fuck too.

>the kids designed their costumes
Tapefag should probably go into graphic design instead of hero work.
Eraser basically has his power anyway lol.

I love it because the background and side characters are all distinct and cool.

They have the talent to create qts everywhere, I'll give them that.

>Eraser basically has his power anyway lol
Speaking of, do they ever explain that? I remember them talking about the material it was made of, but how does he just control it freely?

huh i never noticed the front part of his mask is basically that serrated thing that you cut tape with

It's magic, don't question it.

This manga/anime falls apart with the full introduction of AfO. Everything becomes powercreep quirks and the really broken quirks that manipulate time/space. The concept of Pro hero career starts feeling cheap and easily exploitable. The characters are ok I guess.

>broken quirks that manipulate time/space
??????

>Everything becomes powercreep
No it doesn't, for it to be powercreep it has to actually go past the point of the already established top, and we see the most powerful quirk from the very start (one for all). I wasn't really that fond of AfO though(because in all honesty, he actually does feel like "powercreep") it was kind of hard to believe somebody with a power like his would lose, but eh.

He's literally just complaining about Mirio. The nerfed version of Shadowcat. He's calling phasing a space-time power because it was classified as a space-time power in Naruto.

Phasing? Tell me other ways you could describe those powers.

molecular re-adjustment the space betwen the molecules become bigger, read a book grapefag

>nobody take him seriusly or acknolage him most of the time
Are you clinically retarded? The opposed of what you said happens all the time.

>only 2 people in the hole class actualy wanted to rescue him

Not because they didn't like him, because it was dangerous

>and he didnt got his license on his first try unlike deku and the res

oh no what a tragedy

The only "space-time" power has been Kurogiri and AfO's teleporting, when it's been established only Kurogiri has a practical teleporting ability and his was introduced very early. Mirio's power is not "space-time" until an actual mechanism other than "lmao it's a cartoon"

It's alright.
I enjoyed Naruto, Bleach, DBZ, HxH and OP over it though.

The problem I'm having is that there seems to be little hype for the main antagonist(s). They don't feel like a threat, especially Tomura. He feels like he belongs in Team Rocket.

>The opposed of what you said happens all the time
even grapes banter him do you even read the manga halfwit?
> it was dangerous
ofcourse it was mongol yet only deku and kirisima were wiling to risk everything for bakugou
>oh no what a tragedy
unlike you they are aiming to have a job not geting his license is a serius steepback

>shonen MC with the coolest/strongest abilit
>MC with coolest ability

Tell me exactly 3 mangas where that is the case.

yea shiggy is a bad villan but the point is he is gona grow and steep his game like deku, keep watching the anime stain is a mutch intersting villan

To follow up on this, characters from other stories have intangibility/phasing. Both Vision and Martian Manhunter can phase but the mechanic behind it is "density control" and "mass manipulation" respectively. They can only affect themselves much like Mirio. Mirio also has the slight disadvantage of not extending his power to his clothes. Shadowcat's phasing has been described as "quantum tunneling" which allows her to not only phase herself but outside objects as well, including other people. Unless a differing mechanic is established for Mirio he's much closer to MM and Vision which are not "space-time" powers.
