I don't know what to think about it, is this the end of scanlations?

Can you tell which is the """official""" translation?

>It's an isekai

Great series, wouldn't mind more mangaka picking up this model
Is the translation decent?

All I know is that the left version is semi-unreadable.

Stop this meme.

Have you finished high school?

Its time-travel you idiot. That Homura picture is a blasphemy

>isekai
you keep using that word...

Isekai just mean a different world, or a parallel world in scifi usage. Time travel counts under isekai, specially under the scifi usage.

Official translation tier

>time travel counts under isekai
That's stupid as fuck, get out.

>$10 per month

That's even less than Spoony's Patreon. Give him more money.

>Isekai just mean a different world, or a parallel world in scifi usage.
>mfw Keit-ai is Isek-ai

> is this the end of scanlations?
What? Fucking how? I don't even see the connection, this is just one more manga translation being sold through a slightly different method. Five dollars for four-five chapters (seems to be a volume or slightly less) isn't anything special, either.

Not him, but "the room between the brain tumor" is simply incorrect, no matter how you slice it.

isekai = travelling to a different world or dimension, basically an entirely different setting than the world you live.
The past or future isn't the world you are used to or from and depending on which time travelling theory is subscribed, it's also not the dimension you are from.
Time travelling is isekai, regardless of whether you think it's stupid it or not. This is not an opinion, it's a fact. I don't make the rules and just because you only became aware of this term due to recent popularities that rise due to isekai being mainly to some fantasy setting doesn't change it. It just means isekai is broader in its usage and meaning than you think.

Well shit I hope more mangaka do this so I can actually support them without having to ship manga all the way across the globe.
In fact, when the fuck are anime studios going to open patreons?

Don't know who Spoony is, but this is pretty much in line with normal digital prices and with Jin's own physical prices.

whoa

They're only donating $10 per month for his work tho. It can be more.

>entry is now possible
that's what she said

>Time travelling is isekai, regardless of whether you think it's stupid it or not. This is not an opinion, it's a fact. If you're going to make this "it's correct and you don't know how the word's used" argument, then don't waste my time with the logic behind it, just fucking give me proof.

> It can be more.
Sure, you can give anyone more money whenever you want. But the point is that even the $5 for the issues is not an unusually small price, and $10 is unusually large one, and there's no strong reason to pay more than that unless you really feel like just giving the guy extra money because.

Are you 13?

Hope more authors jump on board. This is a good way for smaller artists to get around the long arm of the publisher.

not him but he is right. isekai is a broad term it covers more than what you think. It is not one of those generic isekais but still isekai

Only 3 patrons tho.

It's not $10 per issue, user. It's $10 is the only thing he's getting out of 3 patrons per month.

It's a great manga, but can the mangaka really do this? Doesn't this sort of thing usually have to go through the publisher first?

mangaka own all rights on their ip

Right, even thought it's shit. Left is obviously scanned, look at the far right part.

I don't see how time travel applies to isekai since it's the same fucking world.

It wouldn't be up if he wasn't allowed to do it. Still waiting on more doujinshi artists to make a Patreon, buying one book every few months doesn't seem like much. Though most probably have other part-time jobs.

Its not that broad since its the specific "guy enters different kind of setting and does things".
You could easily transform LOTR into isekai just by saying frodo was teleported to middle earth from the future.

He's right tho. Inuyasha is Isekai. It's all about the general plot structure being someone thrust into a world that is foreign to them and all that it entails.

That said, most people these days associate isekai with a particular sub-genre or story type (read, rpg-like fantasy or just straight up an online game) because it's blown up in popularity. It's unfortunate when words lose meaning due to trends and abuse like this, but it happens.

Which artists do you want to see on Patreon? Tired of my favorite artists eating ramen every day because nips have shit taste.

Id want porn artists to be on patreon but the site bans loli so Id gain nothing. Several loli artists just start doing uninteresting comics with 18+ characters to get the patreon bucks.

>Which artists do you want to see on Patreon?
How about new chapters of stuff that got axed.

What about that group making that VR game with Kuro and Illya? They haven't seemed to have any trouble for loli content.

Related: patreon.com/deepvisionworks

though it would be funny if the movie started with an out of context scene where a teenager gets hit by a truck

I'm not sure if they're allowed to do that. Even axed manga are still owned by the publisher. It'd have to be almost abandonware like the stuff on MangaZ or whatever it's called.

>beggar online
pathetic and disgusting

They're only making 270$ a month, it could very easily be the case that they havent been reported enough times to be removed.

ShindoL. Oh wait...

Amahara and Gomenasai.

>It's all about the general plot structure being someone thrust into a world that is foreign to them and all that it entails.

By that logic some tumblr whale in America getting on a plane and going to Australia is isekai.

Does it have DRM?

>author providing a service for money
>LOL UR A BEGGAR HURF DURF DURR LET ME GO DOWNLOAD STUFF FOR FREE NAO HAHA ALSO HERE'S A PICTURE OF SOME SHITTY GENERIC LOLI PRAISE KEK DEUS VULT
Fuck you, shitstain

(You)

bamp

Are you trying to imply left is better?

>aus
You're correct.

Denuvo, yes

I cannot believe it. Jin is pure excellence and meticulously-researched (a couple of trained surgeons consult on anatomy and treatment).

Trigger will do it first.

You are correct.

The real shame will be watching this make like $200 a month while insanely shitty webcomics make thousands.

Like, a fat man makes $12k-14k a month to yell about videogames on Patreon and people making actual art make jack shit.

right is objectively better. left is a fucking mess to read

What do you expect? Jin is very obscure and not a lot of people know about it

There are mangaka who finish axed series as doujinshi or with other publishers, so it could happen in at least some cases.

Interesting it's the mangaka of Jin doing this and not someone from a younger generation and more likely to be attuned with current internet trends.

>1$ as thanks
>5$ to get new chapters
>10$ to get behind the scene drafts and ink art
>1000$ for personal drawing

That's a big fucking jump if you ask me. Though honestly he's 10$ tier is so cheap. Is the 1000$ just one drawing and that's it?

Jin is amazing, so I will gladly pay for it. Subscribed.

It's better this way for a large author to carve the way first, make it more acceptable.

even unknown artists charge hundreds for a single drawing
$1000 for a drawing from a famous mangaka isnt that much in comparison
though i certainly wouldnt pay for it
