shit... should i redo the typesetted chapters?

Weren't the digital magazine raws good enough? Plus I have those in paper so the undercover is easy to scan, but I wouldn't be able to scan the rest.

What was Hikaru special power?

She just have a heavy ass, the heaviest in Japan and fights by sinking the opponent together with the land.

Because of her heavy ass she often breaks vehicles or anything else she sits in which is why she uses that suit for traveling. She pays for everything she breaks so she apparently is poor (Nozomi taught us it makes one stronger!).

>The strongest counter player
>When young she was hit by lightning resulting in a body that can emit lightning easily which she then applied in her ass techniques
>The sword is to stop her buttocks from generating lightning by rubbing each other
>Rumours are that only Yuzuki's wind techniques can oppose her lightning ass.

Back from volume 16. Didn't see it posted before. Rindou will likely get a profile at volume 18.

I think that's just user's scans, if someone is going to upload the volume, it'll probably be the same blurry mess vol16 was in.

I wasn't able to check it myself as no blu-ray raws past volume 3 were uploaded, but from the author blog and posts in 2chan, apparently the scene at the end of episode 12 showcasing some pro players was expanded in the bluray with more characters, including the goketsu. Just images, no voices though.

And from people comments seem like they did a good job in fixing the animation problems on the last two episodes for the BD.

>>When young she was hit by lightning resulting in a body that can emit lightning easily which she then applied in her ass techniques
The fuck? What about her eyes?

Not mentioned.
I'm guessing lightning fried one of her eyes, not that it was relevant in her fight

No mention. Maybe she wasn't born with heterochromia but that is a scar /side effect from the incident.

In any case, I wish we had a flashback arc with the goketsu. For instance, if Fuyuyu whole body is like that, I could imagine she distancing herself or being isolated from other kids because someone got or could get hurt by accidentally bumping into her.

>Lightning ass.
I'm going to miss Keijo! so much. What do nips have against fun?

BD 6 volume special starts with Nozomi versus Sayaka on the match to decide the Keijo Queen. Then they face the Keijo Olympics...

...then face the secret Keijo champion, who happens to be Aoba's older sister...

...fight the ass alien invasion...

...and finally fight Sayaka who was taken over by the plushie monkey...

that Russian cutie

Ending with Nozomi waking up.

Seems like Xebec had fun with it.

Vol 16 extra is a 5 page long, chapter 155.5. On the night she tells Sayaka to win her match, Nozomi is training on the park by herself when Atsuko passes by (who is unrecognizable with her hair down). After seeing up close how strong the goketsu are (that scene when Naki saves the little girl) Nozomi understood that her previous trump card wouldn't be good at all, she only didn't sink because Atsuko saved her at the end. If she wants to beat the goketsu she needs to make an even stronger Vaccum Ass Cannon. Atsuko helps her train, as she is already out of the tournament and have a lot of free time.

It's a short chapter to bridge an inconsistency with how that previous technique was what Nozomi had came up to face the goketsu, but then she uses an even stronger one at the end of her match with Fuyuyu. Also to give some resolution with the panels showing she still was feeling bad about Atsuko's sacrifice on the match.

And Vol 17 one also is 5 pages. This time it gives a quick summary of two other matches from the tournament preliminaries second round.

The first 3 pages is a match between Ai, Kotone, Sumire, Ginya and two other east players. Kotone face the two east players while Sumire and Ai fight Ginya. Kotone beats the two using that technique she used on her first round match. Ginya was being pushed back but then she uses a new technique that she have been hiding, using her vibrating ass to instantly destroy enough of Sumire swimsuit to make her lose because of over ero. It looked like Ginya was going to win but the Fujisaki sisters uses a combo attack againt her. The three fall in the water and Kotone wins because she was the last one to touch the water (by 0.02 seconds).

Then last two pages is Saya fighting and winning against a now stronger Don who had risen to A class.

Damn you Sunday, I want a full tournament arc

The author mentions that he really wants those who have been reading Keijo for a long time to see vol 18 extra. On it he draw the finale he had pictured in his mind since back when he started drawing Keijo.

Source is the end of this post:
ameblo.jp/kokage2010/entry-12279254641.html

With her hair loose she really look like a roach

It really hurts doesnt it?

Maybe it was because it wasn't aimed at a large target demographic, and Shonen Sunday was in dire need of trying their luck with newer works, plus, the author isn't famous, so naturally there's not much support. I really wished that the manga kept being serialized (and for a good fighting game to come out of it, eventually), the author also had more things he wanted to put in the manga, too.

>a player whose gameplan can also include the "over ero" rule
>Fujisaki exclusive combo
>potentially more things to show about Saya and Rio (and maybe Meiko/Sumire/Kotone/Ai)
and (besides a possible Mio arc) we were denied from seeing all of this.

Add to the list:
>Rumours are that only Yuzuki's wind techniques can oppose her lightning ass.

We never got to see Yuzuki fighting seriously.

her relationship with the other goketsu should also be interesting (remembering her happier, less burdened self from Yuzuki's memory), and I also wanted to see if Tsukino Sakura would be relevant to the story (she was mentioned by Fuyuyu in one extra).

I would love a prequel manga on the goketsu showing how they entered the sport and became the "monsters" they are now.

we also never got to see Nozomi (and maybe her colleagues, and/or maybe someone else in Nozomi's place) taking Kyouko's role as an active player teaching Setouchi's students, and/or seeing Kyouko herself retire (she's said to be 28 in one volume cover, players might retire at around 30).

Nor we never saw Aoba actually winning on screen. Nor a Nozomi and Hanabi rematch. A match between the "sisters" like Nozomi and/or Sayaka vs. Sumire, Hanabi vs. Kyouko, Kotone vs.Ai. Etc, etc.

Do you have the backs of all the volumes?

That's fucking stupid. Even if she weighs a ton, she could just travel by heavy truck.

Not saved in the computer, no. Only the ones I scanned earlier, which are those three I posted, this Underhips one which is the other one from volume 16.

And the Yuzuki one. If the thread is alive by when I wake up tomorrow I can scan them all.

>Fuyuyu should be near retirement age (let's make a guess, 30)
>if she started Keijo at 18 years (maybe), she could've been a Suruga student (who, like Setouchi students, probably spend one year before becoming pros), and be among the elite class students participating on the first East/West war, heralding the overtaking of West, by East
>Ujibe and Ayako (along with Miku, Hitomi and even pic related) should be active players

It's extremely exaggerated, yes, like many other things in the manga. Considering she could tilt and then break that super heavy arena (over 50t / 110 thousand pounds), a heavy truck wouldn't be enough.

I mean HEAVY. Something used for construction.

I wish that girl appeared more, I liked her design.

On Ujibe and Ayako being active, from volume 15 extra on Keijo's history, they did retire earlier than I though, on 2004, which should be the year the first class, at least for Setouchi, started. A summary was posted a few months ago: The problem is probably pressure. So she would break the seat of it and maybe even all the way probably still break at least the seat, if not opening a hole in it to the ground.

maybe she can control (to an extent) her ass' density (while even the minimum density is enough to break a lot of stuff), that would explain why she could position herself at the edge of the land without it tilting, at the beginning of the match. I'd also imagine that, with the new information I've seen about her in this thread, she wouldn't be able to get to the lands by boat, so a specially resistant bridge or something like that should be used. Also.. due to her ass weight, being sunk would suck (unless she has enough leg strength to jump out of water, the same way she can do her high jumps despite her ass weight).

I wonder how she sleeps. Must be a reinforced steel bed with kevlar mattress.

She can probably control to some extent or else she shouldn't even be able to stand up, even more to jump up to then fall like she does on the fight.

Most people toss and turn at least a little in their sleep. She'd destroy normal beds and most likely futons as well.

Talking about volume 15 extra, raws for that volume have been up on the usual places for some time now. Will dump the extra here now in case translator user is around and would be willing to do it.

Thanks. I'll get back to working on it after i clear up my sched a bit.

Thats great news

From there I imagine two possibilities:
A) Minamino was already a pro by 2004 at least, which could then mean that Fuyuyu was also a pro by then, or that Fuyuyu met her after graduating (and Ujibe would no longer be Minamino's soeur)
B) it's possible for a retired player to be a soeur (although iirc there doesn't seem to be anything keeping this from happening, I think would be unlikely, especially because if Ujibe focused on working at Setouchi, she would have little time to be someone's soeur)

Speaking of Ujibe, while I thought about her, I wondered who was her teacher/veteran (plot twist: Tsukino Sakura?) and wondered if there was another school she went to (possibly being even a classmate of Ayako), before starting work on Setouchi (or if she studied on Setouchi and then started working there), keeping in mind that Keijo as a gambling sport might've been legalized in 2003, not created in 2003.

lol, I messed up, it's not Fuyuyu who meets Minamino, it's Naki.

I guees i'll do my part

Chapter 156 for proofreading

...

some things that came to my mind:
- Nozomi losing to Mio but still attaining her original goal (of giving her siblings a better life); possible but difficult because since Nozomi learned to enjoy Keijo, she wouldn't stop at gaining tons of money (even with her poor person mentality which was built as she grew) or winning against the goketsu
- Keijo's popularity (and the efforts of its players) getting the attention of other countries and leagues/international circuits being created, eventually leading to Keijo entering the Olympics (would be nice if Sayaka meets mrs. Hayashida there, wonder if Mio has passed through something similar, quitting backstroke swimming for Keijo)

I wondered (while the manga was running) who would be Nozomi's opponent for her "promotion into S class" match (at one point I thought it would be Mio, before she showed to be probably a goketsu-level player, probably even higher, at least higher than Hikaru), even if the manga was serialized I think that at this rate, it would've been Fuyuyu, it would be hard to top her as her last match's opponent as an A-class player.

...

...

also, something else that I just thought about now. Since the author had enough time and room for putting Kotone and Saya's matches in the extra, the next volume's extra might have Kazane and Kawai's.

I liked that Keijo!!!!!!!! reference

The numbers on the armbands seem to be mixed up. Not that I'd expect such small details to be paid attention in this manga.

This show is way too lewd.

I kinda like the shounen touch to it, though. I hope there's a season 2.

Miyata gets ero red card for no top, right?

the over ero is only for swimsuit damage, no top is ok

...

besides what said, Rio Kosugi (a.k.a. Don, Giga Tit Breaker, etc.) also didn't get one.

If that's the case, why aren't there any more top stripping specials?

wait for the bottom stripping one :)
