Canonical colors don't fit mental image of manga character

>canonical colors don't fit mental image of manga character

Always tought Ochako was blond before.

>adaptation voice sounds nothing like what i imagined while reading

>think character has black hair
>it's light purple
How

>anime makes character have nigger skin

...

>anime gives character a better color scheme than author

Fuck, thanks toei

...

HER HAIR IS BROWN NOT FUCKING BLUE

>mangaka gives a character toned hair
>think it's red
>it's blue in the anime and color splashes

Every fucking time.

I feel you. Sweet Mask looks super stupid in blue hair, he always looked blond.

I like unrealistic variation in hair colors, but sometimes they go full retarded.

>Imagine character with realistic hair color
>Ends up being canonically neon pink

His eye and hair color look swapped.

She's still blonde in my heart.

And it happens almost every season, Nana from Golden Time still looks weird to me with brown hair.

More anime should play it like JoJo

From reactions in Sup Forums I may be alone in this. But with exception of Shalnark, I prefer 1999 Phantom Troupe. Especially Machi, who's now canonically pink haired (argh).

To this day I still don't believe Toriko has blue hair

>tfw expected sweet mask to be blonde
>has blue hair
what the fuck?

He looks trashy as fuck with blue hair. While he always looked elegant as blond, he looks like some died bimbo because of the anime.

>yfw Karin is blue

Uvogin looks too old, and Phinks I can give or take. Machi looks better with blue hair, I agree.

I know

I always loved Bleach in that respect. It amazed me how the voices perfectly matched the characters. It's impossible to hear Mayuri with another voice, for example.

But they went and gave Orihime orange hair, when Ichigo's hair color was such a big deal. She was supposed to have brown hair canonically.

This.

I still get thrown off every time I see a color page

I always imagined her with white hair.

What the fuck.
It suits them and I don't really dislike it, but I thought them all blond.

Also, Ivankov is blond too, fuck Oda drawing it with light hair and saying it's dark blue.

>Mc on manga look and act badass as shit

>anime adapt give him the most childish voice

Silky from Mahoutsukai no Yome and Prez from Kaguya.
Both of them look wrong with blond hair, I always imagined them with white/silver hair and in SIlky's case blue eyes. I can live with Prez being aryan but Silky bothers me to no end.
And while caring about colors in Jojo is silly, I had the opposite problem with Koichi. Silver hair just doesn't look good on him and he looked much better as a blonde.

>manga about unrecognized hero bored that he can't find new challenges to overcome
>anime misses the point and its opening is an epic ode of him looking badass and feeling adrenaline in fights

Dats the Joke

...

...

>anime gives the character blue hair
>characters later comment on her beautiful black hair

Chisa's perfect, but the coloring for the rest of the cast all seems off

>hair color ends up being neon green or bright magenta
Always throws me off

>anime plays music over awkward scenes that work better silent

>hair is uninked
>it's actually brown

wasn't that part of a dream sequence?

>total brat with light hair shows up
>pink
Somehow, I didn't see it coming.

>imagine character as a blonde
>ends up having a hair color outside of the visible spectrum

i was 100% sure that tama-senpai from dfrag was light blonde.but gray? i didn't see that coming at all

The green used on the anime uniforms just seems wrong to me.

I always thought Hori was a blonde.

I always pictured her with light hair as well. I still can't reconcile it with her actual appearance. She looks better with light hair.

>tfw no UV-haired waifu

Has this ever happened

WTF is this? He looks like a gay hipster.

That's exactly what he is

Does JoJo technically has canon colours or its just whatever you want? Araki himself is constantly changing the colour palette of his characters.

After I saw the anime and found out it's pink in the LN, I still refuse to believe that

>Mfw I learned Helck has fucking blue hair.

Her hair turns pink after climaxing or some shit like that.

Alibabu was the worst Kaji miscast until Mister Naruhodo happened.

>I always imagined them with white/silver hair and in SIlky's case blue eyes.
Disagree about the blue eyes, but yeah her blonde hair still throws me off.

It's even worse after watching the anime first. Himeko is blonde while Daichi has dark brown hair, and literally every other dark brunette in the manga has their hair inked in.

I say keep the costumes whatever wacky colours you want, those hair colours are just shit.

I recall that and accepted it as a temporary occurrence, I got the impression it was always pink in the LN

>main cast all conveniently have different hair colors and hair styles

araki has said he doesn't plan characters with a set color scheme in mind. So technically there aren't canon colors even though there are decided upon colors for certain characters.

blue is always treated as a stylized black for some reason

they dont have nipples

>anime adaption makes critical changes to character's color palette and design

...

Probably the worst instance of this

There's a line of figures whose schtick is that they got Araki to give the characters their official colors. I think most of them are just like the anime, except for Jotaro, who had a black gakuran and a white undershirt

Yeah, that one always confused me

You mean like this?

>expect them to have black hair
>they're actually purple/blue

>expect them to be a brunette
>they're actually a redhead

>expect them to be blonde
>they're actually pink, green, or white

It's amazing how these specific instances are so frequent.

Fucking perfect.
