Who here excited for the return of Polnareff?

I hope between the potential dozen replies calling me a faggot there is at least one user that can forgive my ignorance and give me a quick hand: where do I read the retranslation?

batoto

also do not read the coloured version fag.

Everyone always talk about their favorite fight in Part 5 but what is your least favorite?
Hard mode: no Soft Machine
Mine would probably be Little Feet. It's a great fight but I'm not a fan of spiders.

...

Easy, Kraftwork

This just goes back to the Jesus corpse.

It boosted the power of the equivalent exchange under the tree

Oasis. After a part that's full of consistently interesting (but not too abstract) stand powers, one of the very last fights is just "man who is really tough and fast", something that white album did way better

The baby face arc is pretty weak.

I haven't read it and am not planning to

>This just goes back to the Jesus corpse.
That's a given.

>It boosted the power of the equivalent exchange under the tree
Yes, that is part of the reason why Josefumi's graft is sought after. The special characteristics of that Rokakaka is wanted by many people who want to use it for immortality.

...

Give me a decent reason why I should

Well it has.. uhh..um..Mista was fun I guess

best fights and stands in the series
the worst fights are giorno's fights and even then they're still cool

Do you mean part 5 as a whole or just the rescans?

It's objectively the best jojo has ever been as a battle shounen, it has fantastic art because araki loves itally so he drew all the backgrounds super nice and it's probably the most "hardcore" part between the gore and every character being an amoral sociopath gangster

What's the most body horror fight in jojo? It's gotta be KC vs Metallica, right?

KC vs Metallica or Vitamin C

>objectively the best jojo has ever been as a battle shounen
>Best fights in the series
Absolutely not. Literally every fight after the beginning is the team being attacked by assassins one after the other, and every fucking fight concludes with:
>Assassin: Haha you fought well and I admire your resolve but now I'll kill you
>Protagonist: I don't think so *Does something that shows off their RESOLVE*
>Assassin: AUUUGH HIS RESOLVE IS SO GREAT! *Dies dramatically without achieving anything*
>If Giorno was in any way involved in the fight, the other character will have a silent monologue about how great he is
It's the most repetitive part in the series by far, and half the main cast (Giorno, Trish, Fugo) range from bland and uninspiring to underused and uninspiring.

Part 5 is a good part with a great cast, but people who act as though it's the second coming only set new readers up for disappointment.

Also, the second reply betrays how little attention the poster even paid to the part. The team are absolutely not 'amoral sociopath gangsters' and this is displayed constantly throughout the part - Mista holding his fire when an apparent civilian was in front of Pesci, Narancia and Bruno's genuine care for innocents like Trish and their disgust at those who'd betray them, and Abbacchio and Giorno being outright stated by the narrator to be heroic, well-intentioned people who wanted to make the world a better place.

I LOVE KIRA!!

I never said it was the second coming. Part 5 has a weak protag, a weak villain, and the overall plot was pretty weak. But I'm just giving it credit for the positives it DOES have, since that user explicitly asked for a reason why he should read it. Part 5 has some great Stands and some of the best fights around. Your generalization aside, the battles are fast-paced, enjoyable, and the characters make use of some abilities that are just cool to see in action.

...

So how did she actually fixed that?

Read the manga

Anything sounds stupid if you boil it down. The format is repetitive but that's because it's a battle manga. The enjoyment is in the individual moments of the fights and the way the characters interact (part 5 has bad guy of the week stand users that actually get a bit of personality behind them, instead of just being a hamfisted reference or otherwise totally one note badguy)

>The team are absolutely not 'amoral sociopath gangsters' and this is displayed constantly throughout the part
The entire group chills out, half of them dancing to music, as a man is violently and loudly tortured right in front of them. "Heroic" giorno is still someone that cons people out of money or goods, always kills his enemies instead of trying to spare them or escape and who's goal in life at the age of 15 is "murder my way to the top of the mafia"

They're herotic characters, but they're objectively way bigger assholes than pretty much any other jojo part that's a shounen. Either way my point was more about their behavior in fights and specifically their inability to give a fuck that's pretty distinct from other jojo parts that take place in jump (giorno wins most of his fights by almost killing himself, for example)

I read it but she somehow fixes her noodle hand by "stitching it" back to normal

>tfw I literally started reading the batoto colored version the last fight I read
Which one is the retranslation then? there's many versions in batoto.

It really doesn't. In parts 4, 6, 7 and 8 there's plenty of variety in enemies, how the fights take place, the motivations of the fighters and the way the fights are resolved. Part 5 is the same thing presented over and over and over again.

And don't try to shift the goalposts, either. The gang torturing a guy who fucked them all up and nearly killed them is harsh but not uncalled for, Giorno is a thief but draws the line at harming innocents (Look what he did to Polpo) and didn't kill Koichi or Buccellati because he knew they were the only good people he fought, and wanted to become the head of the mafia to make the world a better place.

Sure, the characters sometimes act like dicks, but they're objectively not 'amoral sociopath gangsters' like you claimed they were.

What group is rescanning part five?

You're parading that you didn't read the manga.

If it hits you once, you turn inside-out. If it hits the same place again, it turns back. She then stitches the wounded hand back together.

The B/W and Coloured JJCA use the same re-translation.
Just reading the coloured version makes you a faggot.

jojo's colored adventure

Not him, but could Jolyne just Stone Free that shit? I know she figured out the whole mobius strip thing later, but couldn't she just turn her hand to string then back to normal
I don't remember this fight very well

This is worse than fat DIO.

No, his pants are just a lighter color than his shoes there.

That female Jotaro also looks like utter shit. In fact, I don't mind Kakyoin being on top. The pic's nicely done but the concept is laughable.
>Jotakak
Fucking Western fans. It's KaJo.

Just finished chapter 55 in Jojolion, holy shit I havent been this excited since the ending of SBR.
That nigga got FUCKED UP.

By the way, do you guys think that "stone humans" and "plankton people" are Araki's clever way of getting around Japanese censorship?
I just think that Part 6 and 8 are particularly brutal with certain deaths and injuries, like with FF in part 6 and the stone people in part 8.
Then again, there were just regular dudes in SBR getting their skulls crushed by Gyro's balls, so it could be coincidence.

When did C-Moon punched her hand again?
He hit her legs when she somehow kicked him in the face, somehow with out a stand
Don't get fucking smug with your "muh I read the manga"

>skin turned inside out along with bone
>not a hint of pain
stone cold

Kraft Work

To feel like it's a JoJo part. Before the new translations it felt dull and emotionless, unlike the other parts.
Reading it again will make you remember it in a good light later on.

She probably could, but it'd be a lot less effective since she'd need to tear the skin and flesh apart to get it back into the right sort of shape again. Using C-Moon's own power against it is both faster and more effective, since it doesn't seem to completely destroy stuff, just inverts it.

You're posting a picture of her being punched in the leg twice at the same time, idiot. He's cancelling his own powers out. Hence after this, Pucci explicitly instructs C-Moon to only hit her once.

And it hit her hand literally one chapter before, where she parried its blow only to see her hand invert seconds later.

It's weird how little JoJo characters are phased by pain, Jolyne also set herself on fire among other things.

They are always fighting because there's no time to rest when they are constantly being trailed. At least the fights themselves were entertaining compared to the other parts. Also what minor villain in all of JoJo actually achieved anything?

I'd disagree on some of those parts, yeah they're assholes but I wouldn't say they don't care. Bruno and Gio's motivation is ending the drug trade the Boss started and the end of the Green Day fight is Gio beating the guy into paste for five pages after he killed Araki knows how many bystanders. It's not that they don't give a shit it's that they can't afford to.

SDC and SBR also featured the heroes being constantly tailed, yet it managed to stop it being so completely repetitive.

And plenty of minor villains achieved plenty of things. N'doul was Jotaro's first serious enemy and left his mark on him, Vanilla Ice managed to kill two protagonists and severely injured Koichi, most of the enemies in 4 came back and served different roles, Ringo Roadagain is what made Gyro finally start taking things seriously, etc. And even if they don't achieve much themselves, plenty of minor enemies are dealt with in unique and funny ways, instead of just being killed one after the other pointlessly and being forgotten.

Religious nutjob at small jojo forum i visit just posted this gem.

good work

They posted nothing??

>part 1
I would first like to preface this by saying I have known of Jojo since I was a child, and even had the honor of placing 20th in the Jojo Royale, and being the only non japanese to have attained that high of a position almost 5 years ago, making myself the #1 fan recognized officially by Jojo Royale born and living in the western world, confirmed by an event sanctioned by Araki himself. I tell you the truth before God's Christ and Heaven's Eyes, I am some one who devoted years of my life to these things, and received recognition officially before their eyes, I have not lied concerning this, and therefore am not ignorant of them and ask that you carefully hear me out.

I have fell in love with the peculiar and beautiful nation of Japan, and idealise them, preferring them and amazed of their separateness and contrast to the rest of the world. The careful practice of their manners and arts, of the which it is easy to see they are sophisticated and not unlearned people, neither are they ignorant. And knowing this, how that through Emperors that are beyond reproach they have put to silence rebellions that would seem to be destructive to them, although loyal and common Japanese men have martyred themselves in an attempt to discover destructive practices of their own Kings unto their own country men, not for their own glory, but rather for the whole of them and the preservation of justice and truth, despising their own shame, not regarding their own life, that they might ensure the welfare of others for theirs and following generations, for no one has greater love than this that he give his own life for his friends.

...

>part 2
And I say this, I love Japan, and please understand this was not constructed out of malice to dishonor them, but rather birthed out of many tears and thoughtful prayer, and thus so should be considered the highest form of patriotism, that I pursue the honor and welfare of the nation of Japan which I love, for I can hardly bare to see you continue on in this way.

So if you read my thread on the bible influence in jojo, knowing this ,that it is not a final authority on the matter but rather the Holy Bible itself, is that I mentioned the connection between Prince's 1999 and the Mark of the beast, 666, according to the King James Bible, and also revealed by many other Christians before me who saw the lawlessness of men in high places practising spiritual wickedness, which is Christ's enemy and the enemy of Christianity itself. This number is said to be how you can identify him, because it is said, let him that has wisdom count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666. This month, June, the 6th month of the year, and it is issue 66. Now given that Araki takes hiatus without notice, it seems to me that this was absolutely intentional to make chapter 66 be released in the month of June, with this photo capture of Araki holding the Prince album and Snoop Dogg side by side, what with his right hand underlining 1999 upside down, making it appear to be 666, next to the Doggy Style album, which was revealed in chapter 66... I have to ask when this was recorded?

> part 3
Forgive me for questioning someone who is above our reproach, but I find it increasingly contradictory of a country such as Japan to so viciously oppose the Faith of Christianity and be 99.9 percent non christian, but also to so strongly embrace the anti-Christ culture which comes from the same western world, which promotes riot and excess, drunkenness and immorality, lies, deceit, murders and adultery, prostitution, anger without cause, malice, envy and every evil work that is under the sun or otherwise hidden in the dark and secret places where men drown themselves in bloody oaths committed against their own soul, not only promoting the same but having pleasure in them that do them, lifting up their eyes in pride for their haughtiness, taking pride in those things which are not convenient not only are despicable to the pure of heart, but condemning the just and upright in spirit and despising the unsearchable riches of the Grace our Lord Jesus Christ. Did not He also bear on the cross the sins of the Whole World, and also cause His disciples to freely offer this forgiveness, forever swearing the promise of eternal life by His own name, for He could swear by no higher a name than The Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us all, saying to them, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house, and also, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, for God sent not His Son in to the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved.

>Vanilla Ice
>severely injured Koichi
I think you're tired, user.

>Vore porn sandwiched between shitposts about JoJo being satanic
I fucking love this place

>part 4
If Japan is truly the honorable country they present themselves to be, and proud of their own culture and personal history, yet fearful of outside change and influence, why is it that they have chosen to knowingly embrace an Anti-Christian Beast like culture from the western world, cursing their modern generation with the overflow of a godless army of anti-Christ false saviors, glorifying them even as God Himself, but denying His own Son, lifting these evil men committed to devious craft up, even in the eyes of the young children perverting and brain washing them with evil thoughts and poisoning them from their cradles and not only ignoring the destructive abominations of them but even saying that it is a good and wholesome thing for them all, full well rejecting the glory of Jesus Christ that was revealed from heaven to them and crucifying to themselves that glorious holy book and The Word of God that not only can save their entire country from dishonor and oblivious destruction, but can even establish them as a holy people that is of true honor which comes from God only, even above all the rest of the earth in the evil times we live in?

Yeah shit, I have no idea how I did that.

Maybe it's because their hair looks temporarily similar?

SDC were just mostly filled with pointless gag fights.
N'Doul didn't really leave any mark and just killed himself because of his fear of DIO. Vanilla Ice was cool but it's also a shame how DIO got less kills than him. The minor villains in Part 4 just fucked off and didn't help with anything much.
I will admit Araki handled the fights and story a lot better in SBR.

>part 5
Because I say to you that Jonah also lived in the days of Nineveh, when God had prepared to destroy their city and their remembrance of them from the earth forever because their wickedness had rose up before Him, and Jonah also fled from his duty to preach the Word, and God led him into the belly of the whale 3 days and 3 nights, and after Jonah prayed earnestly the whale had freed him, and after that when he had cried to that great city Nineveh, yet 40 days and Nineneveh shall be overthrown, was it not the King of Nineveh himself who proclaimed a fast after that they had believed God and His prophet, that from the greatest even to the least of them should repent in sack cloth and ashes , turning from their evil ways and crying mightily to God that He save their city, and because the King gave commandment, did not all of them fear this King so that even they caused their cattle to fast in repentance before The Lord, that even the cattle would not appear presumptuous before God? For in times past the will of this King allowed these abominations, and his nation feared him, but after that a greater King than he, that is to say The King of Kings that created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them appeared unto him, for His prophet appeared unto them, His fear had fell upon all of them to the uttermost. For our God is a consuming fire, He causes the earth to shake, the waves to roar, the mighty storm and the tempest, the glory of His power being a mighty fearful thing to behold.

>Forgetting the time when Vanilla Ice came back and erased Koichi's legs

Based Jotaro genes.

>part 6
And if it is so that God and His prophet appeared to them, is it not also true that The King was knowledgeable of The Word of Truth and His appearing, and being knowledgeable of His Words, is he now not only responsible to his own country for these abominations he now knows to be against The Most High God, but also that he is guilty before God and all his nation if he hold his peace from them, knowing that after a short while God had promised to destroy them all, except they turn to Him?

For I say to you that a greater than Jonah has already come, and after 3 days He rose from the dead. If it so was that God had mercy on this city wherein were many thousands and also much cattle, how much more then shall God save the nation of Japan if they shall do the same, wherein millions of people live? Who then is that King of wisdom and knowledge , that his influence is beyond reproach, for he gives the King 's commandment, and who is a man of understanding to see that the times are evil, and the days are short and even numbered? Who is that great and mighty king of Nineveh, who is the prophet that is sent unto them and who is his God? Many have run to and fro through out the earth and have increased in knowledge, and I say to you that it was by the Holy Spirit of the God of Israel that caused Daniel to bless King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and said to him, Oh King, live forever!

i wish it was a shitpost, that guy is dead serious and has been at it for years.

thought i should share it with a wider audience.

You really need to reread.

N'doul was the most difficult and the most important fight Jotaro had in the part before DIO himself. They had an actual conversation, Jotaro was shocked and horrified at his suicide, quietly listened to his final words about DIO, and then buried him as a sign of respect. The idea that just because N'doul didn't kill anyone he didn't leave an impact is ridiculous.

It made me appreciate Diavolo a whole lot more. Current ranking is probably 7>8>4>5=6>3>2>1. I still like every part though.

What does he think about SBR and Jesus's corpse?

Oh.
Thanks.

He's dead certain Araki is a secret christian and that aside from the obvious stuff that part 7 is filled with obscure christian references.

i'll try to find some quotes.

>Vanilla Ice was cool but it's also a shame how DIO got less kills than him
Joseph should have stayed dead, but Araki regretted it so hard that he brought him back to life.

I wonder how would an ending where Joseph is dead have turned out.

N'Doul wasn't even that tough of a fight to Jotaro and he only managed to brush his hat off. Even Gambler D'arby was more of an intense and riskier fight.

I like King Crimson.

here's one where he says the corpse is a fake jesus.

>The theme of the corpse parts is totally not biblical, and the vision of Jesus Christ with the holes in his hand is right, because when he resurrected from the dead he still had these wounds from the cross in his hands and feet, albeit in a physical body, in SBR Jesus seems to simply be appearing only in spirit form. According to the bible Jesus Christ did in fact resurrect in his own physical body and is still alive in heaven, so that means it'd be impossible for his body to be strewn across a continent and all shriveled up, so if the SBR Universe is following the canon of the Bible, then that corpse is definitely something else, and the spirit pretending to be Jesus is someone else entirely.

...

We wouldn't have gotten the whole "HP could've been used to find Kira" thing and we would've probably gotten more Jotaro and Josuke bonding time like during Ratt to replace Joseph being dead.

Jotaro explicitly complimented N'doul, and it took the participation of Iggy for him to be able to do anything.

Once again, the idea that just because N'doul didn't kill anyone he didn't leave an impact is ridiculous.

Holy shit........

Jorge Joestar was right....

Justice and Enya didn't kill anyone and had more impact than N'Doul.

Jotaro would alone in this scene or with Polnareff in some crutches and you add Joseph head, and nothing important in 4 changes, tho you need to find a new scenario for the gang to fight Akira
I honestly wished he stayed dead, Araki really pussied out
Joseph barely had any purpose in 4

So he wants to become Japanese because Japan is obviously perfect, but at the same time he thinks Japan is full of anti-Christs?

yup and Giorno is the antichrist too.
>Naturally I think Giorno is an interesting character, but him having one of the best stands in all of Jojo and also having this style hair seems to be a clear reference to the bible, because the beast in revelation is supposed to be one of the most powerful manifestations of evil on the earth that ever happens in the whole book, right near the end of the world. In Revelation, him and his false prophet are personally thrown by The King of Kings into the lake of fire first before anyone else, by about 1000 years. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Show
So this worship is referring to an image that people are worshiping that has 666 as it's number. The Good News of the Gospel is that it's not God's will that any should perish, so if you get saved, it will be as if you never had done those sins, and you are forgiven. Making graven images and worshiping them is forbidden by God in the 2nd commandment, so technically all manga and anime is forbidden (according to the law of Moses, which the adherence thereof cannot justify one of their sins according to Jesus) and anyone who watches it the bible says they are going to burn in hell, it's even a sin to look at something evil, and that includes me.

Did N'doul fuck your wife or something?

And N'doul managed to hospitalize Kakyoin for almost the entire second half, and Avdol for the Oingo Boingo fight.

I wonder if the tone of their farewell would've been darker.
They would've cried a lot more at the airport and maybe console each other with a hug

We were strictly only talking about Jotaro. It didn't matter if he took Avdol and Kakyoin out of commission because they both jobbed later. Quit pulling out other useless N'Doul achievements.

>Giorno is the antichrist
>The man named 'Devil' isn't

Nah JJL is in a seiner magazine so it can show whatever he wants to draw pretty much. Maybe in Stone Ocean, since it was still in a shonen magazine but WSJ was way more lax about gore 15 years ago. And yeah Damo's whole arc was gold, reading it coming out and trying to predict what would happen each chapter was insane. The next couple chapters are a lot slower but it's picking up in pace again and building to something big. Also this guy is based.

Their hug and farewell would be more emotional, but I think that whole scene would play out mostly the same but without Joseph
The scene of Holly waking up would be super awkward

>Did N'doul fuck your wife or something?
no he's a fucking bitch no he didntt fuck you
