Why are all white people so brainwashed with ant white doctrines? bump
Asher Davis
I think its a few reason.
>degeneracy most boomers put no effort in keeping traditions and so fewer young folk feel like they have a tie to the world. >permeation I think the permeation of European culture into other cultures has made it seem watered down. >Media You know who.
as an example of the permeation, i always remind blacks when they talk about "their" culture who language they are speaking in. They tend to shut up.

I thought that wasnt til mid February. I'll probably go for a swim in the lake and clean my room.
kinda pointless to have a feast by yourself. When i was a kid my uncle would always have a big cookout about this time of year. Someone would kill a wild hog(s) and give it to my uncle to cook.(it wasnt a pagan thing, just something he did.)
Cooper Bailey
>want to be ebin pagan >family is Christian >love family What do? Betray part of my family for a more distant part of my family? And what is Paganism to /pagan general/? Is it folk tradition or the actual beliefs in gods?
Thomas Kelly
Feb 1-2 actually. The midpoint between winter solstice and spring. >clean my room That's actually a really good idea. Bridgid frowns on messy people. >kinda pointless to have a feast by yourself. Just have some nice food user. Treat yourself. >When i was a kid my uncle would always have a big cookout about this time of year. Someone would kill a wild hog(s) and give it to my uncle to cook.(it wasnt a pagan thing, just something he did.) Carry on the tradition. He sounds like an awesome guy btw senpai

Paganism is an all encompassing term. We celebrate old traditions and although I think most of us believe in an afterlife, most do not believe in literal gods.

>What do? Become a pagan, your fathers have abandoned their fathers and left the path. It is time to rejoin them and to bring your family back not just for you but for your descendants. >Betray part of my family for a more distant part of my family? Betray? how is changing your religion betrayal? If you family cannot accept because of a simple change of religion then they do not deserve you. >And what is Paganism to /pagan general/? Is it folk tradition or the actual beliefs in gods Check out the Q&A pastebin.com/aD6k77uh
I suggest you also check out the youtube channels recommended at the top of the thread. Its easier to get started when it is explained from a person. Then you can decide and get into the books and so on for further info.
you may not realize but you have been celebrating pagan traditions your entire life.
its pretty easy. There are not many absolute in paganism as compared to the ones that come with Christianity.. Religion, although communal is very personal and each person has their own views and beliefs.
if your belief in science is not in conflict with nature, it's not in conflict with paganism
Christopher Green
I love my family tho. I can get on board with the folk traditions and holidays. But worshipping “new” gods or rather old gods who haven’t been worshipped since forever it just feels like I’m betraying them since I’d be throwing away everything they’ve taught me. Do none among you have a connection to Christianity the religion of your youth? I remember I sun in choir with this qt and we prayed together. Christianity is my connection to the immediate past. Sure sure it’s a Jew religion, but what did you guys do to really convert? I mean to be on board with it. I want to follow the path of my ancestors and their old ways, but then I have an attachment to Christianity. I guess I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.
I read the pasty. Do I really have to believe in these gods or am I cucking to paganlite?
The observed universe looks nothing like Nord cosmology. Evolution. Magic doesn't exist. Stuff like that.
I'm not trolling, I really want to adopt paganism but I cannot believe something and then see something that contradicts it.
Daniel Hill
if you're worried they'll refuse you just don't disclose it to them. Some of the other anons will tell you to abandon your family, but ultimately paganism (and by extension, traditionalism) is primarily a journey of the individual practitioner. The opinions and prejudices of others and of the age are not particularly important to accomplishing this task. If you think you need others to be aware of your positions you're on the wrong track.
Caleb Hall
Family member did DNA tests which confirmed full European ancestry. Mostly Germanic and Scottish. My last name is also Norse and I have blue eyes.
Greetings. Does anybody hear know where I could learn more about Celtic/Gaelic paganism?
Thomas Gonzalez
Recognise that there is more to life than scientific "truth". Do you enjoy music, do you enjoy art, do you enjoy reading? Do you need a scientific explanation to make those things so? We all live, breathe and connect with irrationality on a daily basis. The first step is to stop denying that fact.
Adam Wright
>convert It's not like that. More like "waking up"
Bentley Moore
>REEEEEEEEEEEE: The song

I recognize humans have an innate draw towards spirituality. How is this different from other animalistic instincts? I do not deny we seek to connect with irrationality, but how does that equal something greater than a beaver's desire to build a dam?
Justin Barnes
>old gods who haven’t been worshipped since forever it just feels like I’m betraying them since I’d be throwing away everything they’ve taught me. most of the thing they taught you are based in pagan origins and the truth is the gods never stopped being worshiped. Just how open people were did.
Do none among you have a connection to Christianity the religion of your youth? My mother is a sunday school teacher, always taught the old testament when i was a kid. I never felt any connection with her teachings or what the preacher taught and i wasnt one of those annoying kids who questioned everything all the time. I pretty much did everything she asked, including memorizing books and verses but i never felt any sort of connection. I just have a bunch of stories lingering around in my head, although it helps when i have to discuss religion.
>what did you guys do to really convert? I changed the way i looked at the world. Not by a whole lot, because my dad was always sort of into how we interact with the world as hunters and that was not far from paganism. I dont know of any pagan group near me so i just practice by myself. I dont ask much from the gods so i dont have to give much, i generally offer something to them when i have a successful hunt. again you do not realize how little you life will change, the change has more to do with how you interact with the world and think about your environment.
the Evola quote from above is very accurate.

Survive the jive and varg go into how evolution works. as for magic is not so much about casting spells as it is about how the world works and idea of that would be like idea of luck and fate. though how far you buy it is up to you. this is a decent page about it ravenkindred.com/RBMagic.html
although both of these are asatru, you dont necessarily need to follow that line of thought.

What you are looking for is a direct experience of higher powers. It's a consequence of modern materialism that this is the case, and that's okay because it was the case for me too, and I was lucky in that I had direct experience through the psychic capabilities of my mother (and make no mistake, I am still convinced that 99% of psychics are frauds, my assessment of my mother is based only on the accuracy of statements she has made about things she could not have known). I am an honours student in physics so it's not as if I'm simply ignorant, unintelligent or unfamiliar with the sciences (or the 'profane science' as Evola would put it). For you I would say direct experience of some sort would be absolutely essential prior to beginning a real spiritual journey, and there is no guarantee it will ever come to you, but you are already clearly searching for some higher meaning, which means you are on the right track.

I know what you mean. But It’s not so much a connection to the religion itself it’s a connection to the people who follow it.
I hate that show but Ragnar and Floki are god tier and who is the hot blonde who is sitting in the middle in the first part of your vid related?
Landon Flores
the only connection i feel is because we apart of the same community and town. I know these people will look after me as i look after them. If that is what you mean. I dont feel any spiritual connection with any Christians aside from my family but that feeling is innate.
