Who's to blame for halting the space race to Mars in the 1950s-1970s? My guess is pic related And the vietnam war.
German rocket engineer Wernher Von Braun worked for the nazi's and develped the first successful rocket V2. After WW2 he was headhunted by NASA and he became the Chief Architect of the Saturn V rocket . He's the author of the book Project Mars and that's when the race to Mars and the Moon got interesting. The Mars mission should be prepared over a ten years period and launched in the 1980s. It was canceled in the 1970s because of the ever increasing budget to the vietnam war and the ever increasing attention to niggers.
The argument was the mission to mars "Cost the American tax payer less than a 6 pack of beer a year". America's answer? "Get your hands off muh beer!"

Why explore space when you can advance greater israel
Just surround Iran through Iraq Syria and Afghanistan hehe

bitch looks like she ate all the hungry

Is it the attention span that is low? A decade earlier it was: >Murica fuck yeah we be on the muun first! > Taking a shit on perfect Earth while suggesting MUH terraform of Mars >implying it would be bad to have a backup planet if shit as to hit the fan. Also you can distribute the population so Earth could become more eco friendly again. We could meme that we wuz kangz came from Mars and showed da whyty the way of life. So every negro would claim Mars as their homeland and gtfo.
Ye but at least there are no niggers on Mars or Venus

Little secret about NASA funding: Democrats tend to cut spoending, Republicans tend to increase it. If you make it a liberal/conservative split it's even more interesting. The only Democrat to increase NASA funding from his predecessor was Kennedy, the most conservative Dem of the 20th century, basically same centrist policies as GW Bush The only Republican to cut NASA funding was liberal statist Republican Richard Nixon. No one knows why this is exactly. Probably part if because the money giveaways from the space program go to more conservative interests, and the Dems are at their heart still the party of Tammany Hall. This might be partly because gleaming white rockets with red and blue trim and USA painted proudly on the side gall Libs to no end. Wanting to shift money from aerospace into welfare is also part of it. For whatever reason the fact remains unassailable: Conservatives love space exploration, and liberals hate it. Liberals absolutely rage out when you tell them this, but it's incredibly easy to prove. Just show them a list of federal budget expenditures showing NASA as a % of national budget year by year since Eisenhower founded NASA next to a list of presidents. 100% verified

checked checked That's why I thought it quit funny and rage inducing that this fat niglet, actually so fat that NASA have to take her into account because of her gravitational influence on space mission, is complaining about food. It's clear that the child have only got the sparse leftovers that her mother didn't find and eat of the floor.

>Just show them a list of federal budget expenditures showing NASA as a % of national budget year by year since Eisenhower founded NASA next to a list of presidents. Sounds nice but it's a fairly weak argument. There isn't that much difference between any of them except Kennedy. They could easily counter-argue that budget cuts were due to wars abroad authorized by republicans.

As soon as NASA discovers a massive oil or gold deposit on Mars America will scramble to Mars faster than mexicans scramble to America.
Nathan Allen
In real dollars these amounts are more significant than you may realize. The hike during Reagan and Bush 1 was from a little over $14 billion to nearly $25 billion. Real money. Clinton cut NASA spending from that level down to $19 billion. $6 billion a year funds major missions. Obama's cut from $20 billion to $17 billion was enough to have funded another moon mission or a Mars landing. The main point though, is that conservatives increase investing in NASA and liberals cut investing in NASA. This has been consistent over nearly 6 decades. Liberals want to be the party of science and worship black science guy and tell themselves they are uber forward thinking mentalists. If they really cared about space exploration step 1 would be to vote Republican.

The Outer Space Treaty. It says that countries cannot own extraterrestrial territory, and thus, it killed any interest countries had in space, which is why NASA does nothing but launch le ebin space cameras to get neat desktop backgrounds. What the Outer Space Treaty doesn't cover though, are companies. They can own what they build, which is why SpaceX is so interested in it. If they can build some kind of space airline, they will have a monopoly on it, and they will have complete ownership over what thei build, and what they do, without any government being able to interfere.
The "progressives" don't want us to make progress in Space.

It’s not like those people came out of nowhere. Public support for the moon missions was never a majority and only a tiny majority thought it had been worth it immediately after the fact. So after the prestige game was done, why would politicians keep it up? Talk about how unintelligent the voting public is all you want (I agree) but it wasn’t a sudden new phenomenon. amp.space.com/10601-apollo-moon-program-public-support-myth.html

Progressives define 'progress' as advancing the slow death of Western Civilization. The Cold War never ended, the only difference now is our Marxist enemy lives amongst us.
