This is the first 80's anime that I have watched and wew, characters behaved like today's eastern Europeans - 15 years old smoking, drinking alcohol, going out to discos.
Did it portray 80's Japan correctly?
Now I kind of want more of this meguca.

Don't call her that.
There's a ban on the portrayals of minors smoking and drinking in anime and manga. So no, it won't happen.
Oh, I got this one recently, but it's worth to watch?
for madoka, yes
and for some catchy music

Just for the OST. It's nothing happens the anime.
The movie is really good, but you kind of have to sit through the show to watch it. It looks really nice though.
Yes. It's a pretty cute and comfy romcom. Good OST too.
The first movie, which serves as a conclusion to the love triangle, is also worth a watch, if you can keep an open mind for the stark change in mood.
How many people here do you think actually know what 80s Japan was like?
it's a good rejection movie, it had too little Madoka though
I rewatched everything of this show a couple of years back. Before that I hadn't watched it since I was four or five years old or something.
I remembered everything from the first episode so well it almost scared me.
Kagami no naka no actress ahahah
Beautiful song.
I grew up on Yokosuka AFB. AMA.
Contract?
>it's painfully clar Madoka is going to win since very early
>30+ episodes of MISUNDERSTANDINGS and annoying worst girl
"It's the 80s" did you expect something else? Nowadays we have eternal 80s, it's not just Eastern Europeans that behave like this.
Madoka is love.
>the way this manga resolved its love triangle is directly responsible for the BUSINESS AS USUAL bullshit we get today
No, the manga had an actual ending that was NOT a "business as usual" ending.
It's not really good, at all.
and it was received so badly that manga artists now play it safe.
I never finished reading this.
I remember thinking it was kind of a poor mans Maison Ikkoku
Did you get to actually go out a lot, or were you stuck on base?
>This is the first 80's anime that I have watched
Sad you had to begin with one of the worst. You should've watched Touch instead.
Oh yeah Touch, I never finished reading it either.
That was some development with his brother really out the left field, I wont spoil it though.
Such a trash show.
Excellent series, was watching it in parallel with Maison Ikkoku in the mid-1990s.
I think between these two series you get a pretty good idea of life in mid-1980s Japan.
love the songs in this show

Isn't that Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku?
close, it's sakura from urusei yatsura
