Post the show that got you into anime.

Regretfully, SAO.

Mirai Nikki

It's been all downhill since then.

This might be cheating, but I don't care.

got what a fucking faggot i was at 16

im sorry if this is cliche but Naruto was actually the first noted anime I watched other than dragon ball z

I still think the Trigun anime is great.

First I watched: Shaman King
First I completed: Soul Eater

...

Watched Pokemon and Dragonball Z back in the day but .Hack//Sign is the anime that really got me into watching anime when I was younger and made me appreciate the medium for storytelling.

Venus>Mercury>Jupiter>Moon>Mars

...

Claymore, Inuyasha, DBZ

Most of the toonami shows

Yeap, it's sailor moon, btw fuck resales: first season, prehaps, was translation from japanese, so i got used to Usagi.
But next season we got translation from english, with stupid ass name Bunny. Moreover Uranus and Neptune were cousines, damn your Cristian values!

Minmay > Misa

Season 3 when?

wow me too OP
now I'm balls deep into Love Live, but I still haven't forgotten about my first two waifus

Actually saw this before Sailor Moon. It was dubbed and I saw it in Spanish class. This before the internet was really a "thing" but I knew there was something ...DIFFERENT about this cartoon. It's called Zukkoke Knight or Don de la Mancha. In the dub it's simply called the Adventures of Don Quixote. It's very obscure and hard to find. I still haven't really been able to track down the old dubbed episodes.

I loved it though. Very different from the source material though. Dulcinea was actually a princess, albeit the daughter of a thief king. And she herself is a thief. Also, she took full advantage of Don Quixote treating her like a princess. (kind of like Fujiko Mine does with Lupin)

plz no bully

damn son.

The first one I technically ever saw was the pokemon anime, but this is what actually got me into watching subs.

Inu-Yasha, original Dragon Ball reruns and Hamtaro on television.

First subbed anime I watched over the internet was either Wolf's Rain or Paranoia Agent though.

Awesome soundtrack.

For a 12 year old me, this was the tightest shit

How the mighty have fallen

Minmay is literally garbage

same desu

sailor moon was my first boner.

what? where i live the eng translation used the name "serena"

As a kid I watched Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblades and Cardcaptors. Then one boring night during my high school years, I was feeling miserable and out of the blue decided to check out Cardcaptors again, just out of curiosity and noticed the Japanese version was uploaded on Youtube (back when copyright restrictions for anime wasn't all that tight). Fell in love with it almost instantly, watched the whole series (plus the two movies) like three times in a row and then decided to check out other shows.

Still the only cute girl show that I truly loved.

One of my older cousins showed me the Fist of the North Star movie and my young mind was completely fucking blown.

Steins:Gate was the first show I watched actually knowing what anime is
before that I watched Pokemon, One Piece Dragon Ball Z and a few episodes of Sailor Moon like most kids my age back then

I wasn't completely unexposed to anime prior, I mean I knew about sailor moon and evangelion and dragonball and gits and cardcaptor sakura and fma and thought that shit was for kids. I actually saw princess mononoke and some inuyasha movie at some point and though of them as slightly more mature cartoons from a foreign market (e.g. the lord of the rings/hobbit/trek TAS cartoons). Up until SnO I was more or less a normalfag.

>20+ years later
>minmayfags still mad

My dad showed me the movie as a kid.
Funny thing is that the first thing I tink of for Fist of 5e North Star is that the Fang leader from the movie wa voiced the Uncle in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air
