What's Sup Forums's opinion on Tower of God?

remove rachel

It's been picking up the pace in recent chapters.
I'm actually looking forward for the next one every week.

Not anime or manga, fuck off already.

It's shit. Stop asking this everyday.
Also,

its shit
now fuck off
not manga or anime

Manwa is manga. You know most of the garbage anime is made by Koreans too.

Was hooked instantly in the first bit, thought it was gonna be some lonely journey through a fucked up place not meant for humans like fantasy BLAME or something

then against all odds it turned into a shonen battle highschool and I dropped it like I was the fookin basshunter

But it is, now fuck off.

Just waiting for Urek to kick some white ass

Fuck off with your gookshit, gook shill.

Also spamming/reposting are bannable offenses.

Rachel is the best thing about it

Hope we're nearing the end of season 2

I want to marry this princess

I think I droped it at the train after the MC got the thorn? How long was that? I kinda what to go back to it.

I wanted to see Urek shit all over White.

this

Part 1 was great. Part 2 jumped the shark.

I like it, although it is ultimately a pretty standard battle series. It feels like it's been getting better lately.

Got to the portion after they do the little train tournament thing and Rachel cucks him again. Does it get better or worse after this? Sort of lost interest, and does MC bang that one princess chick?

>does MC bang that one princess chick?

Come on user, you already know the answer.

I can hope user. I can hope :/

You should stop posting that 2012 /q/ screencap, gook.

You know why /q/ was deleted right? moot even said to forget that board ever happened.

So this is the kind of cancerous gook that spams his gookshit.

Nobody cares about your issues faggot.

Your deviantart trash isn't manga.

Nobody on Sup Forums welcomes your gookshit on Sup Forums, gook shill.

>Nobody

It's blatantly obvious that there's like 2 or 3 of you dumbfucks, tops. There aren't even enough of you to spam these threads effectively.

And that's the last (you) you're getting from me.

Killing Stalking is the only manhwa I read

Keep telling yourself that gook. You gooks are the minority on Sup Forums.

All your deleted gook threads are evidence of your blatant gook shilling.

>gook shill
>gooooooook gook gook gook
>*fake ESL intensifies*
Did I miss anything?

My opinion is that Sweet Guy is better.

those lips are good

also none of this is anime or manga pls go
take it to Sup Forums or /aco/

>action asterisks

Back to >>>/reddit/ where you belong, gook.

I dropped it around train too.

You know you've got too many useless characters when the good guys have to split into two teams.

Also, we've already had this thread yesterday.

>also none of this is anime or manga pls go
>take it to Sup Forums or /aco/

>being so new he thinks manhwa is allowed on Sup Forums
Manga/Manhua/Manhua are literally the same thing you fucking moron, a quick google search will tell you exactly that. See

Your webtoon shit isn't manga, gook.

...

There are unarguably way too many characters. It's fine to be introducing new characters consistently, but the author needs to learn how to slough off the boring ones.

I want Khun to destroy Rachel.

Also, ball-karaka and white are fun.

An extremely interesting team-based fighting series that have a well balanced cast. That devolved into shounen shit like thing where the MC is overpowered and solves everything. And everyone sucks his cock as a result.

I like it. I admire how different it is from the typical japanese manga with the same protagonist who has nothing special about him but get's isekai'd or something. Or the power of friendship shonen tropes

Interesting setting weighed down by terrible characters.

SIU is an amazing writer for managing to make me hate one character so much. He's pretty based in my book.

I feel like the series would be more interesting if we just followed the season one cast the whole way through.

Baam shenanigans turn it into a typical shonen. I wanted to see more Koon keikaku and Hatsu's first fight with Cassandra or whatever the fuck his name was.

the current arc in "hell" sucks

and the arc before it with the fight against white haired guy wasn't great either.

Before that though it was pretty good.

I wish more of the story was told from the old crew's perspective. I prefer androssi, lizard girl , sword guy, short haired guy and lazy blanket guy to most of the new crew.

Imo:
rookie arc (up to the first big betrayal) > horn arc > hell train white haired guy arc > hell arc

so it has basically gotten worse as it went.

Your webtoon shit isn't Japanese, gook.

the horn arc of part 2 was good IMO.

I guess I see now why most authors are too scared to ever focus on new characters. Apparently that's what most people want.

It's not a manwa, it's a korean webcomic.

>oh look MC has some super special shit inside him
>that's not enough he gets another power up
>and another one
>here have some soul power up
>still not enough lets power him up some more
This shit is the worst trash ever. Literally all the power gets freely handed to him and he's still a weak ass pussy.

People compared it to HxH and One piece, which made me read 40 chapters of it, what a complete waste of time.

why do you find the need to post this gookshit everyday?

Bam's irregular power-reveal wasn't too fun.
Also Yuri best girl.

Slow as fuck, most characters aren't interesting and/or completely retarded.
Everytime a character seems to grow, he's either killed and or put to the sidelines and never heard of again.

fuck you

I really liked the first arc, with all the strategy and keikakus. That betrayal caught me out of nowhere, and it was interesting to see good characters actually die or leave the series because they "werent strong enough". Now the cast is too big, magic and gods are real (i cant put my finger on why this bothers me) and baam gets upgrade after upgrade after upgrade. But i think it is becoming interesting again.

There aren't any Gods. They're just strong people and adminstrators can die like regular people which was proven by Enryu. Now, who is/was Enryu? He appeared out of no where and created that thorn that everyone wants. One thing pissing me off about the series is Bam receiving power ups. I really hope he gets rid of the adminstrator and the souls in his body.

Better than most manga I've read. Koreans should really start making their own anime too.

The first part was absolutely amazing
I loved everything about it and I dont remember hating a character as much as I hate rachell
After that it became way too focused on new characters that aren't interesting

I thought so too at the beggining, but with actual demons, souls and people with powers like "you automatically die if you attack me", the way i see it, enryuu killing an administrator was a god killing another god. We have immortals and people ressurecting!

The new characters were introduced as "meatshields", but I guess the author changed his opinion on that.

They did replace some of the characters that died in the train tho.

We learned that Urek also has an adminstrator in his body.

I guess irregulars are people from the outside who gets special access to the tower because adminstrators hide in their bodies. It's probably why that bunny adminstrator in the first floor told Rachel that she shouldn't be there since the tower didn't choose her.

I stopped reading when they got to the train
Is the croco still alive?

Ok, i didnt see this. That would make too musch sense. Do you know the chap?

ToG isn't manga, manwha or comic, but a webtoon. Despite that, it's much more likely that chinese and korean comics will be discussed here than in Sup Forums given that they're inferior asians, or /aco/ given that it isn't porn. So deal with it.

First season was great. Second season was also good until the end of Workshop arc.
From there SIU has reached a level of convoluted plot and OC creation similar to Crash Bandicoot Retold (with the slight difference that they don't come out of fucking nowhere, but there's a little explanation and backstory for everyone). I really hope he abandon some of this characters and stick to the main teams, not only to simplify plot progression a little, but also because we still lack 80 FLOORS OF STORY.

Looks Korean.

he's "gone".

allegedly dead because he got caught in the blast that wiped out the station

Yes.

Episode 254, last few pages when Urek asks Bam to join his group.

>sword guy
>lazy blanket guy
I forgot these ones even exist.
I honestly like some new characters (like Wagnan and Hockney) more that the old cast.

Actually I am dumb, Urek is the one sensing the same power as an adminstrator in Bam.

I liked it at first. It fell very adventure like with a group of characters that slowly grew on me over time, in a world the characters seemed to know nothing about.

The tower was made to be mysterious and climbing it was meant to be a challenge that only the most powerful have ever completed. Yet when part II or whatever came out it felt like all that got scrapped and now the tower is like some giant hotel with different cities being floors and shit with weak normal everyday guys living in the tower. And now the adventurers are sports teams or something with fans and televised broadcasts of their events.

I dropped it around the time they were getting on some train or something. I couldn't adjust to the new way part II was taking it.

I think you read through it too quickly. Each floor is the size of North America and there are people living there, these people are called "regulars" and I assume you're talking about the Workshop arc when you mention sports teams and televised broadcasts. The Workshop isn't a floor, it's a tournament for winnable items. I don't really understand your complaint about hotels, where else would they sleep? All floors up until the 134th floor have been conquered by others so obviously there will be people living there and the rulers are the ten great families.

I want to use those shoes so bad.

>HxH
It's obviously influenced by it. For example Baam's blue haired friend is Killua rip off.
>One Piece
The world is enormous and it will be ridiculously long so the it's similar in this aspect.

Bam's blue friend is nothing like Killua. You're thinking of Ran.

No, I checked the names now and I was thinking about Mr Koon, Aguero Agnis.

But he isn't arrogant and never uses lightning.

Is Killua arrogant? The similarities I found when I was reading long time ago was they are both outcasts from elite family, feeling strong sense of friendship with Gon/Bam, strategic fighting, to small degree character design (not as similar as Killua and Ran, I give you that).

Yes, absolutely. Killua thinks he's above everyone and always underestimates his opponents until they overpower him. Killua didn't get thrown out of his family, his dad let him do whatever he wants because he believes Killua will return one day.

It's all the same shit
Stop crying over it
Also, it's allowed on Sup Forums

Is ToG best shounen webcomic?

Does it have a lot of competition? The only other that I know about is Noblesse, and it's pretty bad.

World-building and plot are great, when they happen, but there's too much focus on the tests, which are far and beyond the most boring parts in the entire story.

The pacing in general is glacial. Probably the worst I've ever seen.
Also way too many characters.

Stopped years ago. I couldn't stomach it anymore.

Gamer and God of Highschool.
They are pretty bad as well though.

noblesse is comfy and it's supposed to be vampires vs werewolves vs humans with lots of power level boosts

Doesn't belong on Sup Forums.

Nah, the bullied kid trained by a martial artist outcast was better.
Season 3 never

Hello newfriend

It has a lot of fights, but those fights are horrible, literally just a beam spam, worse than fucking Dragon Ball.
Plus they all suddenly started to fly and stand on air with no explanation given to this ability whatsoever. Actually, power system in Noblesse is barely explained at all. They all just can fly and shoot nuclear explosions because reasons.
Also science can turn you into immortal god.

The Breaker? It wasn't a webcomic, just a standard manhwa.
Can't say it was better than ToG, but I love both.

Not him but The Breaker itself had arguably perfect pacing and was a relatively solid story on its own. New Waves is an entirely different matter.

What about Kubera? I heard good things about it, have it on my backlog.

Ban gookshit.

Fuck off and kill yourself.

Shame for Gamer though, it had a cool concept but author doesnt know what to do with it

>one third of the thread are retards who complain about Korean comics on Sup Forums
>one third of the thread are morons who reply to these retards
>one third of the thread is an actual discussion
Really makes me think.

Back to Sup Forums with you.

You and your kind.

My biggest issue with it is the fact that there doesn't seem to be any stake, and the main character only gets more and more convenient power-ups.

The story seems to be going down the same path that naruto went, with all the bullshit "give the main character(s) ALL the stats".

Essentially, there is now hardly any reason why baam can't brute force his way through the tower, whereas before it was a great combination of baam as a specialist, khun as the brains, and the croc as a brawler.

At this point the side-characters are just being largely overshadowed and rachel becomes more and more irrelevant as a "villain".

Speaking of which there has been too many points in the story where stakes could have been raised but instead are conveniently brushed aside. Like that time when karaka came after baam's group after they got off the train. He could've easily killed some of them but he just talks, and then gets distracted like what the fuck?

I hardly care about the evil white knight guy anymore. He was unironically way scarier and much more threatening in his child form and all he cared about was killing others to gain more power from "souls". Giving him backstory and making him look more like a generic bad guy was the worst decision made possible.

Not to mention a shit ton of the story is build-up and certain aspects are being dragged too long, making the build up less and less hype. This is partially due to the lack of stakes being raised and there was hardly any notable death flags (who cares about the meatshield-like side characters too). Infact the only character death I remember and cared about was that one kid waaaaay back in season 1 who betrayed baam and the others. It was impactful and done at the perfect pacing.

I can't see that coming out of this current arc now that all these god characters are just fucking showing up like moths, and now that baam is basically the naruto of his verse.
