JoJo Thread

What is Joubin planning at a time like this?

It's cool, I hope you have fun with it. I liked part 6 a LOT more when I reread it.

And yeah, it was a good talk and reminded me of why I like the characters and series. Apologies for my aggro tone at the start, I admit I was expecting a shitflinging 'Daddy issues' argument rather than the good discussion you provided. Thank you, user.

(Also holy shit what was the reason for thread-deletion)

Damage control report to the mystery doctors/kings?

Some mod got butthurt about Jojo thread popping up all the time? That would suck

The last thread was pruned 8 minutes ago.

The OP of the thread had a picture of Narancia then many posts later there was another post with an image of Narancia claiming to be posting even though they were permabanned (maybe appealed).
Or simply maybe because of all the spam.

Forget about Joubin! what is Kaato up to is the real question

She is planning nothing, she just wants her half out of the divorce.
She is fully supporting Joubin with whatever he wants to do.

Why was OP banned?

>implying she doesn't have some sort of ulterior motive

If you were reading correctly, the OP was probably the Narancia spammer which may have been ban-evading.

She got the "Dark Will" in her eyes when he saw Joubin on top of the "Tree" in his flashback.

>I was permabanned for half a month but yeah I've been going for over year now man.
I read that as that he was banned a while ago

Some things are not to be forgotten...

>Hol Horse being Mista's dad and fights along Polnareff

Mind = officially blown

>Appealed for spamming
>Not banned for avatarfagging

...

Why was the last thread banned?
It was going good.

>Why was the last thread banned?
I wonder why indeed...

Repeating my question because the thread was deleted
I am about to play a Jojo pnp. Any advice for acting like a character in Jojo?
>inb4 the thread gets deleted again cuz of me

Posted this last thread just moments before it got removed.

>What would you like to see in the next JoJo game in terms of mechanics, genre, etc?
>Should the story cover one of the existing parts or should it be an original story (written or approved by Araki)?

I think it should be an OG story set in the 80's of the SBR universe, SdC style

>villain dating simulator
no homo

Part 4 First Person Mystery game.

Go through the plot as different characters to solve puzzles with some action involved and shit. Maybe for shit like Koichi, you have to get out of a situation by typing out a sufficient onomatopoeia/kanji to get out of a situation.

>Shizuka's Bizarre Adventure
Stealth based game featuring an older Shizuka Joestar who returns to Morioh to find out how she ended up there and what happened to her parents.
We'd get to see what happened to the old DiU crew.

>Josuke is in his 40s
>Still has the pompadour
>Is starting to get balding problems so his pompadour is heavily receded

I'd see it.

I'd like a sandbox with fighting game elements where Holly kujo get's SMOKEYED and you play as their son Jordan Kujo. The main story of the game would be your quest to take over the streets of Atlanta from rival gangs with your stand 「Good Day」

>Jojo Online

...

this is my dream.
josuke as an easily agitated 40-year old man.

the quality is a bit bad but you can use this one for jonathan if you want to add more to it

The pompadour isn't hairstyle, it's a lifestyle.

The perspectives/sizes of the characters makes me feel like it's an Escher painting or some shit

Just give me another all star battle
or let Arc System Works make a jojo game like the new DBZ one
just please no more shitty eyes of heaven gameplay

Yo
If Arc System Works did a JoJo fighter that would be fucking gorgeous.

Imagine the roster...

...

...

probably just a bit bigger than eoh, but with some other characters like maybe ghiaccio/secco, foo fighters, yuya, a lot of part 8, and D I R E

That would be a huge fucking roster, normally I like fighters with smaller rosters but considering how long JJBA has been going on with all the characters people love it would be impossible to keep a 18 character roster.

Cause you need at least 8 slots just for the main JoJos

>they start bringing in non-canon characters
>you get get PHF characters and JJ characters as bonus additional characters
>Heaven DIO comes back with better plot and as a playable character
>Up the references and fanservice tenfold
>Special Dual Attacks for characters like Hol Horse/Mista or Jonathan/Johnny despite having no plot relevance to each other

ROHAN OVA TRAILER WHEN

>Gappy gets a doctors outfit.

>Special Dual Attacks
Cesar and Gappy - Double Bubble
Yukako and Bruford - Bad Hair Day
Jolyne and Rai - String Theory

>Jobin becomes playable
>has literally no instances of physical combat or combat with Speed King
>they make up for this by making him play like various beetles in beetle tournaments
>Speed King uses its bicycle horns to impale people and throw them down

I just see Speed King doing the same shit where Frieza's second form stabbed Krillin and horn humped him before throwing him back down.

>What would you like to see in the next JoJo game in terms of mechanics, genre, etc?
I just hope the next game isn't too easy.

>Should the story cover one of the existing parts or should it be an original story (written or approved by Araki)?
Original or not, if it wasn't written by Araki it's not worth it. EoH's story wasn't exactly good and they could've gone full fanservice to compensate for the weak execution of the plot, but they didn't do that, either.

Like Dragon Ball Online?

Sure, but actually available to the american market

She's amoral. The "power" of the "Wall Eyes" shouldn't require a familiar sacrifice, which is what she thought Norisuke wanted out of her. In reality, Norisuke probably would have "taken" the "curse" from Joubin himself. The reason Joubin is the villain is because Araki forgot how he started the manga and couldn't remember what "plot points" were "false flags" and what was "legit," so every Higashikata is a "double-person" instead of family members "taking" the Joestar curse from their children.

I fucking hate the turn this series took.

What do you mean by "hate", oh wise "Quotation Mark user"?

Your 「use」 of 「quotation marks」 is too 「distracting」.
But why do you 「hate」 it?

Steel Ball Run game in the style of Red Dead Redemption.

Play as Johnny and Gyro racing over a large map, you'd be free to go where you please but you'd have to reach the checkpoints and story points within a certain time limit.
Being on time or early earns you bonuses while being late causes penalties and leads to a secret "Bad Ending."

Have to collect supplies such as food or herbs for Johnny's fingernails.

「I」 was 「meme-ing」 too 「hard,」 if you catch my 「drift.」 The 「intent」 of 「this reply」 is to 「apologize」 for my 「scare quotes.」

「accepted」

How do you know this wasn't what was planned all along? How do you know he forgot or changed his mind on things? The curse is still the grounding plot point for the story it's just a whole bunch of other shit has pooped up too. It's still mentioned at the beginning of every couple of chapters that everything comes back to the curse and the land.

I legitimately love Jojolion as a manga because I think Araki really perfected Jojo's unique suspense-based action (as well as his sense of humor), but the mystery of the Wall Eyes and how it tied into Johnny/Jesus was legitimately interesting. The "Rokakaka effect" of "equivalent exchange" being that two people combine is retarded when the key part of Jousuke's identity is how he was born from two different people being buried under the ground, since imoutomeido demonstrated that organisms and objects buried together fuse together, which has since been dropped despite the fact that Araki held onto it for a while. Basically, all the mechanics changed the second Joubin was introduced, even though Joubin would have been a much more interesting villain as the "goofy oniisan" type.

I also adore the running joke of Norisuke being concerned over Jousuke's citizenship

It probably means that the only reason the rokakaka even worked in that special way was because of it's location when used rather than the grafting process

I think the new Rokakaka doesn't work as a fusing tool, but instead it just has someone else take the equivalent exchange for you instead of you suffering the consequences.

The Wall Eyes still had a major pull in the fusion.

How would you feel if the Wall-Eyes were never a thing, but the earthquake happened and the Higashikata curse remained?

The ground didn't really fuse the fruit as it did exchange parts of them. This is how the Higashikatas are able to remove the rock disease, but putting the disease onto someone else under the ground

I would really like to create my own stand and show my autistic creation to the rest of the players. But what kind of plot would it have?

okay but how exactly does the other person take the exchange for you? josefumi had his hands on kira, would you need direct contact to have it affect another person?

Multiversal collapse due to an OP stand's power gone amok?

It hasn't been dropped though, it's still mentioned semi regularly. The point of the Rokakaka is that it's an alternative route to the same thing and that Josuke was only born because of the two together. There's always an equivalent exchange when using the Wall Eyes or the Rokakaka, but the new breed of Grafted Rokakaka and the Wall Eyes together made Josuke out of all the usable parts of Kira and Josefumi and left the rest behind as 'Kira', Josuke's birth was not equivalent. People are becoming interested in the grafted Rokakaka because they believe that they can now heal themselves indefinitely with no drawbacks rather than having to deal with the equivalency aspect. There's a reason Josuke got all 4 balls rather than just getting 2 made from 2 halves each. It was skewed in his favour and he's living proof that there is a way to get around death.

But wouldn't memory loss be a factor in there, too?

You can join various factions like the Speedwagon Foundation or Pucci's Cathedral of Gravity.

Stand creation is just as robust as the character creator.
Your class as a Stand User is split into either Close Range, Long Range, or Automatic Stands.

You get a number of points to put into stats and your ability, but the more powerful your ability, the less points you have for stats

It's not like Jousuke is all good. He thinks and acts like a serial killer, he's a master manipulator. He just happens to be a basically good person.

>acts like a serial killer
>basically a good person

But for an MMO, how would you dictate what kind of powers would be available to the players?

It would have to be like the various superhero MMOs where there was a set group of abilities available.

With the grafted Rokakaka, we don't know. Josuke only has memory loss because both people who made him died (Kira was already dead and Josefumi broke into a bunch of pieces) and was then buried underground to continue swapping bits back and forth until it made something that was alive. If you were just to eat a grafted Rokakaka and not be dead like Kira was then the other person touching you would take the exchange for you.

Basically, had Kira still been alive when Josefumi fed him the grafted Rokakaka Josefumi would have died and Kira would be perfectly fine. If it had been a normal Rokakaka, it would have exchanged his injuries for something else just as bad, like retardation or missing limbs like Dolomite had. The factor that made Josuke was that they were both dead and buried in the Wall Eyes, hence not having memories because he's a weird chimera made from the grafted Rokakaka AND the Wall Eyes. The reason Dolomite was interested in the new Rokakaka was because Josuke showed that you could have a completely fixed body with it rather than a fucked up one like his, where he'd cured all his original injuries but was still just as bad off because they were replaced with other ones.

I wasn't implying he was? I was just saying that he inherited all the working parts of Josefumi and Kira to make a new person, not that that made him a good person.

>Jobin runs a fleshed-out beetle tournament minigame

Maybe there is a big bag of little pieces of parts and you assemble them into what stand you would like? Or we can just pull a "Same stand huh?"

not related but you know what doesn't make sense to me?

>josefumi's hair changes
>kira's donald duck sailor hat becomes a different sailor hat

>casually manipulates people nonstop
>shows almost no emotion except when excited

Well there's 150 something Stands in the official canon, I'm sure there is enough abilities to go around after you remove Stands that are attached to a location or require you to die.

>be the one user who uses superfly as a stand
>cannot even progress the game normally because you're stuck in an electric tower

OVA when?

>attached to a location

Also for the sake of MMO gameplay I assume everyone would start with an "A" in Development so that you can level up?

Would there be Acts or Requiem forms available?
I guess Requiem Stands could be the equivalent of special raid armor or something.

Smol hed

There's still a 3 day gap between when they fell underground and Josuke waking up wearing that hat, and it's likely during that time that he saw flashback man. Given the MAJOR inconsistencies between Karera in her introductory arc and then the very next one (major even for JoJo) we can assume that more went on in that time than we were shown, including how Kira got the SBR publisher seal on his wrist.

Acts could be prestiges and Requiems could be temporary buffs with very long (ie, more than 23 hours) cooldown

It hasn't been dropped though, it's still mentioned frequently and was shown during Jobin's flashback. The Rokakaka is just an alternative way to perform an equivalent exchange. Josuke was only possible because of the two coming together, neither on their own was powerful enough to create an entirely new person. Neither on their own can help the Higashikata family curse, as they've used the Wall Eyes for generations and the Rokakaka will give you something equally as bad in exchange. When the two come together, you can get something like Josuke.

I can dig it.

early kira fed so much food to his hands that he was anorexic

There's just two different exchange phenomena at play and we've been on a streak of Rokakaka focus for like 3 years. The Wall Eyes and Johnny and Jesus are all still important we just haven't had an arc focusing on them for ages because, despite being 6 years into this series, it's still only introducing characters and plot points now. It's undoubtedly going to be long as fuck, at a minimum the same amount of chapters as SBR which makes it longer than SBR by default since 23 of SBR's 95 chapters were weekly. There's still plenty of time for this stuff to come back and be explained. Given how well thought out everything in this Part has been I doubt Araki would have done something so drastic as to spend three years building up the idea of the Wall Eyes only to drop them. They're still mentioned every so often too, it's just that the current arcs aren't focused on them so much at the moment.

>there are around 20 stand arrows spread across the game's world
>only one of them is a requiem arrow
>its current owner only has a few days to use it on himself up to 3 times or give it to another person
>if it stays in a player's inventory for too long it vanishes and all the arrows have to be found again
>after a month the arrows reset automatically to prevent the creation of Requiem mafias

Sounds great! What would achieving heaven be?

Global reset on all progress for everyone.

WILL ARAKI ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WITH THIS?

New "Zones"

That sounds like it would ruin a lot of people's fun. I was thinking more World Over Heaven than Made in Heaven
Or this

The pine is where Johnny used Jesus' corpse to cure Rina and where the Higashikatas have exchanged their curse ever since, and there's a big focus on trees in this story so there'll likely be some significance to it all.

Actually WoD is more suited for something like SBR.

World Over Heaven missed the point of Heaven in the first place.

WoH matches an mmorpg much better though

Since we been discussing it with some interest, titles:
>JoJo's Bizarre World
>JJBA: True Man's World

Bizarre World has a great ring to it. Someone with more skill than me should right up the ideas we have written.
>TFW people thought your idea was a great idea

...

I'll try and collect these thoughts, but no promises.

>Jojo Xenoverse

Only a couple more hours to go
