The equipment the girls were provided with:
Battle suits (Ikusa-ginu)
The mass production-type fighting clothes that the 32 people of Mebuki's investigation squad were given. It's an extremely versatile system that can be worn by non-heroes but doesn't come with fairies. The basic version includes a gun with bayonet, while the large shield is reserved for girls who are in charge of defense only. Identification numbers are written on the neck and the left shoulder, and only the eight most outstanding candidates, including Mebuki as number 1, are granted commander-type equipment with horns.

The girls who take part in this mission:
Sentinels (Sakimori)
The name of the 32 people including Mebuki who had the truth about the world beyond the wall revealed to them and were ordered to investigate the outside. All of them are girls who weren't chosen but still carry the qualities needed to become heroes. On their mission, the 32 girls are to form a single team and carry out surprisingly normal tasks behind the scenes such as taking samples and investigating. Because they might not be able to avoid encounters with the enemy, each one of the girls has a clearly defined offensive or defensive role.

I wonder if she eventually became part of the tree in much of the same way Sonoko grew closer to being a god. In fact what if all heroes and mikos return to the tree to some extent and this is how theyre characteristic are reborn in new yuushas.

The world outside the barrier, a place where countless Vertex-forming stardusts drift through the skies and where the ground is hidden beneath a magma-like substance. There aren't any signs of life here, it is truly a world of death and despair.

The girl Mebuki competed against for the hero status:
Miyoshi Karin
The girl who made her appearance in episode 3 of "Yuuki Yuuna." A self-proclaimed perfect hero dispatched by the Taisha who joined Yuuna and the other Hero Club girls. In her past before meeting the Hero Club, she competed over the privilege to become a hero with Mebuki and was chosen as a full-fledged hero. Her personality resembles her rival Mebuki's, both hate losing and prefer to polish their skills by themselves rather than wasting time on making friends. She doesn't call herself a perfect hero just for show: with her extraordinary skills, she managed to seal a Vertex with a single strike and annihilated a large number of Vertexes using the hero ability called "mankai."
