>women
Women
Ok, I bite. Why does she need to drop the class? I don't get it.
>trying to make sense of women
m8
I guess because the bag isn't michael kors
so
the girl who said that is dumb
???
>there are men out there right now who pay the kikes exorbitant amounts of cash to buy cunts overpriced bags
>there are /fa/ posters on Sup Forums right now that will defend this and call me a poorfag for being utilitarian
>there are top universities wasting countless time and money promoting classes on being a consumerist whore
it's Hermes which is a ~$5000 bag versus Kors which is ~$200.
Because he's a Busch man, not a Coors man
She felt assaulted by a student listening to a teacher and attempting to answer. This is an allegory to the patriarchy and the way womyn and minorities are being held down in society by setting unrealistic expectations and creating a systematic pressure on groups in need.
She thinks she's stupid for not recognizing brands instantly and absorbing the propaganda. It's like their in a competition to see who is the biggest dipshit whore.
>35$ of fabric and $8 of metal components
>$5000
Did she sing that Nikki Minaj lyric?
All these fucking little whores
All fucking with my decors
You couldn’t fuck with my decors if you was fucking Michael Kors
That’s all I can guess. Is this a riddle because of some reason I’m enjoying it.
they're*
How the fuck do you know that?
What is the price of brand recognition designed to flaunt one's wealth?
>price of brand recognition
>girl in marketing class doesnt recognize the brand
I'm guessing $0
wow and I thought I was overpaying for swiss gear
I think you know how two woman react when they find out the other have the same outfit for a party. Someone said
>Call a woman beautiful a million times and she always forgets it. Call her fat one time and she will remind you of it all the time
yeah come on hommie, if it wasnt $5000 then how would people know you could afford to spend $5000 on a bag?
Them making it $5000 is a connivance for you.
oh I thought the joke was that it was an ugly shitty orange bag and the girl mistook it for a good brand like Michael Kors
this is the answer
This. I don’t even care if people see me as some sort of poor/slob I’ve been wearing the same clothes for years and I sew them back up when they get holes in them. I can’t even imagine caring about fashion it seems so asinine. i get liking things that look good but when it comes down to designers/trends I couldn’t care less if they removed my brain.
That bag isn’t worth but $25 in my eyes.
Rich people like to associate with other rich people, for obvious reasons. Using things and wearing clothes that are only recognizable and affordable to the rich are quick ways to advertise themselves to others like them and filter out the others. Just like in this example.
You're welcome for your sociology 101 lesson.
It's Hermes you fucking pleb
But don't worry this shit is not important
I'd rather try touching the moon than take on a whore's thinking.
This thread is shit.
sage
Lol who has that poster where it says women have fewer neurons then men. Therefore they don’t thing logically or see the world in the same way we do.
>wanting to be rich to fit in with rich people
>not wanting to be rich to make plebs jelly
...
>caring what other people think, rich or not
>not having swinging dick confidence
I wonder how much value european luxury products will lose the niggier their countries get? People used to get these things to bring a piece of Europe with them but the glamour will soon be gone. I think I may invest in some chinese fashion.
A huge estate is the best way to make plebs jelly.
She doesn't want to be surrounded by a bunch of poors. I understand completely. I once was in an accounting course (relating to enterprise software companies) and our group was set but then the professor forced on us some unspeakable. The trench coat, the graphic t-shirt from the mall, the tattered denim, and there just had to be a fedora. It was truly appalling in every way. I attempted to bring him into the fold, being that I would rather him do some work rather than ride our coattails, and asked him why he wore what he had. His response was something inane along the lines of, "it's stupid to spend money on clothes so I just buy what looks cool."
The other three in the group looked obviously disgusted that I was even talking to him in the first place but this sent them over the edge and I was with them now. The idea that these poor excuses for clothes could be considered "cool" by anyone was outrageous let alone his complete lack of knowledge or care regarding class, quality, and customs. After roughly half an hour of the original group working together with him sitting alone he made a vague attempt at conversation asking why I wore what I was wearing. I can't remember exactly what I had on that day but given that it was Spring I feel confident that it was nothing more than a standard linen shirt from Brooks Brothers, Gant pants, and loafers. In any case he asked how much it cost and if my assumptions were right I would have said the entire ensemble was around $600 or so. not counting watches, wallets, belt, etc.
"Why would you ever waste so much on stupid clothes." This was the actual sentence he said, while snickering to himself. The group was incredulous. As a point we don't like to harass people but this boy was obnoxious in every sense of the word and we demanded that he leave the group for another. He did so and we carried on. At some point the second group must have demanded the same as he ended up in a third group before dropping the class.
>and then everyone laughed a $1200 laugh and had our manservant wipe the ground he stood on with a $200 windbreaker
I don't get it
What everyone in here is missing is that this is the moment she realized that she was in the same class as a poor black person. Michael Kors is the defacto “poor minority trying to pretend they are rich” brand. Of course she had to drop the class, before that moment who ever said that must have just blended into the darker paint of the room making them hard to notice before that comment.
See this sounds like something Obama would say. Proving my point from earlier. Defacto poor person logic “a good brand like Michael Kors.
You jest, but why would anyone want to be around poor people?
Only if they know about it. In my mind, a huge estate is the best way to steer clear of the plebs
No dumb ass, they are 10,000$ USED.
That is a Hermes Birkin bag, if I'm not mistaken, and they go for 10-15k.
t. worked in high-end luxury retail
Exactly.
I agree with you if by "poor" you mean people with bad hygiene and dirty clothes.
If they don't smell you either get to bant about their addiction or indulge in it while mocking everyone else for their idiocy and differences.
I still prefer not to be around those who are simply poor but at least care for their appearances. It is a mindset among those who don't hold wealth that is cancerous. They enter into self-fulfilling prophesies about why they are poor and never work to improve themselves. They never plan, they never think, and then when they are old they pass on this line of thinking to their children.
Yeah let's kill them
That bag was probably closer $9,000.
Seems extreme.
>the purpose of life is to build wealth
sounds pretty jewish t.b.h
It is most certainly not the purpose of life. But it is the attitude that carries over in so many ways to those areas that should give purpose. Wealth's purpose is to be used in those pursuits as well and thus the more you own to more you can do.
she probably nogged out
This. Anyone who actually gets that joke is a cock smoking queer.
Wealth is more than a physical asset user.
>marketing class
why did you expect anything more than this
The anecdote is odd: did the professor agree that the bag was Kors or not? Kind of important to the "I'm leaving" punchline. Was it a class on high end consumer goods, or maybe the arbittrary taxation on such? Or was it a class on building high end brand loyalty? We do not have enough information to judge whether the protagonist was being "tschk women" or not?
Sorry, memo got me thirsty for blood.
I think the joke is that her peers were too retarded to know what that bag was, so the teacher was garbage and she did not need that negativity. Idk
HOW
wtf is all that money going towards? do they charge that much just because they can find retards dumb enough to pay it?
Yep. You're missing the point more than the posers who purchase Hermes knock off products though. The whole point of these bags is to visibly flaunt the fact that you own one. Now, hopefully most of Sup Forums will not be into this bullshit, but the fact that it exists prints money for suppliers of this Ego Flattery.
A $10,000 solid titanium chess set (materials cost ~$500)? The perfect gift for your living room or hallway. Sure you can't play chess but hey, your visitors will be impressed as they know how much it costs.
That's a Hermes Birkin Bag, they go for $9k-$20k and the top bags for up to $200k...
I still don't understand the problem.
Right... so that would indeed be "cuh, women" then. The addittional joke being that as a student she will be paying the equivalent of ten Hermes bags for this "education" almost guaranteeing she'll only ever own an obvious knock off.
>checked
>do they charge that much just because they can find retards dumb enough to pay it?
I'd say a few grand is reasonable if it's the highest quality leather, plus paying a living wage to a master leather worker (good craftsmen don't come cheap) but at least 10k is pure rich asshole tax.
How about you make it then if it's so easy that the cost of labour would be priced at $0?
>solid titanium chess set
that would just look ugly
It exists at that pricepoint BECAUSE you and I can't afford it m8. It sets apart the consumer who can.
Post feet.
I used to buy fake (but really good quality fakes) Louis Vuitton bags in NYC Chinatown (they even came with a fake certificate of authenticity) for ten dollars each and resell them on eBay for over 200.
The trick was to never use the same account more than once.
How the fuck do the cucks here know the brands of fucking handbags kek.
For that price I expect it to be people leather and not cow leather.
$ of fabric and $8 of metal components
lol, that much?
maybe 50cents of fabric and 5cents of metal
5 dollars for the poor sod who made it
10cents for logistics
the rest goes to the fashion designer and the company
its the same with normal clothing, they can go 50% down with the price and still make massive profits
Also
>buy overpriced garbage to flaunt your wealth
I thought rich people were considered atleast somewhat intelligent?
Am I so Plebian that I don't get this? It looks like an orange leather hand bag.
We're not poor. Do you really not own even one Hermes tie?
The Forget Me Knot by Sruli Recht. $350,000.
They are. You're just poor and you can't understand because of your willfully ignorant mindset.
I live in a third world shit hole and even I know that's a birkin bag, and yes my parents definitely think I'm a little gay and I definitely learned about this bag in a radiolab episode/podcast.
>Don't waste shekels on useless frivolities like a full blown kike
>ignorant
>Do you really not own even one Hermes tie?
I don't larp as a faggot who enjoys auto asphyxiation, nice bait though.
So you're unemployed? Sounds fun.
>solid titanium chess set
>Not buying a F1 Renault chess set made from quality aluminum and stainless steal for $50 000
plebs
You sound like you take it up the ass alot.
Yup. That is why they use a matrix of signifiers to increase their status amongst the lower ranks of a clique that holds a lot of wealth.
The lower ranks know there is a lot of money there so they fall in line and attempt to build their way up.
>women will buy a bag for the price of a car
Why do we let them vote?
>t. poorfag jelly that he can't buy anything
The only way i would have a chess set that costs more than 40 dollars is that I got it as a gift or that i made it myself
are the welfare checks coming on time, nigger?
I opened that picture before reading your comment and thought it was a chess set made out of recycled paper clips and soda can tabs
>marketing professor
wat
I never argued against the fact that that's the thought behind falling for the status symbol meme. But is that how YOU think the world works?
Marketing teams are sure doing a great job because they actually got you believing that you are what you wear. Not that smart if you keep falling for cheap sales tactics a 3rd grader can see through, eh?
you have marketing schools my friend
>tfw rich diamond dealer kike
>my gf asked for an embossed Louis bag that was horrifying for 3K
i'm sure i can find an old chinese lady to do the labor for 4$
The girl tweeting wants to quit the economics class because another girl taking that same class isn't as much of a fashionista.
i want off this ride
>One of these bags is worth more than my camera gear collection
>Except my camera gear collection has paid for itself through use of it
what
I work with a guy that studied marketing, they have weird fucking ideas.
>We cant tell our clients our prices before they promise to buy from us, because otherwise if another company is cheaper they will buy it there instead of from us
>A product selling well because its cheaper than out competitors means we should increase our prices to the same as out competitors
>If he suspects someone is asking for our prices in order to compare it with another company he gives fake prices which are higher, thereby ensuring the guy doesn't buy from us
Our boss trusts him with this shit, because he studies marketing, but im slowly getting him to see how retarded it all is.
ye it's pretty gay, you can get a nice pay though. One of my female friends, who is quite a nice girl is in marketing school (2nd year) and she already had some lucrative job offers
Looks like a Birkin bag
A $10MM factory will pay for itself as well, but you wouldn't want to live there now would you? Business investments are different from personal expenses for a reason.
Sam Hyde should do a bit on this, whens his release date?
>learning how to sell people shit they don't need with money they don't have
is she jewish?
>43 dollars on materials
>4957 dollars on labor
yeah ok portugal
This actually goes against spending $600 on an outfit when you could have a similar one for half that price. The two outfits would be nearly identical except for the "Brand".
Yet you will piss money away for an empty vanity that you've been brainwashed to propagate while extolling the value of wealth to gain things with utility.
