Despite its popularity and long run during its time
How come Inuyasha isn't as remembered as other big anime from the mid-90s?
Or even as remembered other works from Urusei Yatsura (namely Urusei Yatsura and Ranma ½)

Because it was really boring

Because the 13 year old girl inside of me is dead.

It was okay

because fillers
and the manga went to shit at around chap 300

the anime doesn't even have that much filler compared to other popular anime

Because the other two series you mentioned pioneered certain tropes and concepts that are still in effect today. Inuyasha, on the other hand, is just typical shounenshit, and there were already a good amount of those by the time it started. It was also kind of boring and over-long.

is Rin-ne even any good?
I didn't even know it existed, but it apparently has 36 volumes

How in the flying fuck does this shit not get canned?
It's all the same characters, jokes, and subplots Rumiko keeps churning out for the last 40 years

People like Rumiko manga. If it ain't broke

Ushio to Tora was better than this shit

Because the anime lasted for 193 fucking episodes, had no ending, and the sequel came out when nobody cared anymore.

Because it was a shoujo manga turned into a shounin. It didn't draw in both crowds and it was one of the few anime that aired in the west at the time before Streaming existed. Then the anime went on a hiatus 'Samuri Jack' style for one final season that was more of a wrap-up when the manga had already ended.

it's strangely ongoing but episodic nature makes it really watchable as background noise
kinda like a CW show or soap opera
which makes sense, since it basically has the same demographics

...

It was boring and nothing happened. Every fucking epidose was the same.

I like it well enough, although I'm only following by the anime and the third season has gotten way too episodic, barely introducing any new recurring characters and most stories are only one third of an episode.

It's closer to Ranma or UY than to Inuyasha, although so far there has been no actual fighting arc, unlike what Ranma had sometimes, even though the characters have super human abilities and often there are short battles.

I really liked InuYasha, and was into it up until it officially ended around 2013, with the last manga chapter. It was pretty sad to witness the death of a once wide-spanning fanbase, though. Now it's down to very few enthusiasts either here occasionally, or on the Reddit board, Tumblr, and Deviantart, among some small message boards. There seems to have been somewhat of a resurgence, though, with a new phone app since this spring. I never like hentai/yaoi culture for any manga or anime, though.

It is among girls.

Ranma is only remembered by spics and what the hell is Urusei Yatsura.

Back to plebbit

>Ranma 1/2: 38 volumes 53m sold in Japan
>Inuyasha: 56 volumes 45m sold in Japan

Yup, it's the Spics fault

Ranma 1/2 had more boobies

That's fucking it
