If anything, Obama military got rid of most overweight people because there was such an enormous downsizing the easiest solution was to kick people out who couldn't pass physical fitness tests, which was a large amount of the military. The military doesn't care about how well desk clerks do their job, it cares about easy fixes like getting rid of people who couldn't hold up to the standards but were kept in due to wars in the middle east for so long. I'm military and there's a huge thing about people getting butthurt about being kicked out for physical standards that is still going on and I love it. It's all the useless support personnel basically saying they aren't really in the military because they do desk jobs that don't require physical fitness... thus proving we could have civilians do the same shit for less money and they would be specialized in it because they stay at the same unit/base their whole career. Instead we have useless shit 19 year olds in the air force fucking up paperwork for pilots and maintainers every chance they get and causing stress for all involved.
