A Lovely European Art Thread

It has been a long time since we've had a decent appreciation of European Art, haven't we? Well, time for another.

That's a beauty

We have art too!

...

...

Oh, I know. I'm quite sorry about that, I'll try to get some American art in.

Fantastic stuff my friend.

what is that one painting of a wall with a bunch of paintings on it?

...

...

polish-soviet war?

Yes, that's what it's about.

Depressingly white. Needs more diversity.

...

What bothers me more than anything is that this line of thinking is the norm of kikes and liberals

...

No it isn't.
Stop being a dumbass, 95% of people on both sides of the aisle don't give a shit about racial representation.
And those 5% that do, do so because they get attention from it, not because they actually care.

>tfw u will never be a priest carrying only a wooden crucifix into battle

feels good

...

...

I wish I was born in Europe fuck my life

Don't forget that those two sides all belong to the same country clubs, they're two sides of the same coin...and no, they don't give two shits about the average American

1861 painting by the French artist Jean-Léon Gérôme

>A depiction of Phryne, a famous hetaera (courtesan) of Ancient Greece, being disrobed before the Areopagus. Phryne was on trial for profaning the Eleusinian Mysteries, and is said to have been disrobed by Hypereides, who was defending her, when it appeared the verdict would be unfavourable. The sight of her nude body apparently so moved the judges that they acquitted her. Some authorities claim that this story is a later invention.

How do we get back to these times, boys? How can we fix the West?

thanks user

This doesn't do the actual version in Savannah, Georgia justice. It's an absolutely beautiful painting and it's massive. So much detail and such beautiful colors.

I'd like to know too

Someone reads the woodpile report. I do too

Chauncey Bradley Ives count?

Glad you mentioned it. Just downloaded some good ones

He's American, but a lot of his work is showcased in Europe.
The marble is so finely chiseled that light glows through it

Glad to see someone else has tasken to making these threads too
