Why?
Why?
Why not? It worked well for Final Fantasy XV.
youtu.be
They basically already did that for those three games, just as shorts.
go back there
>Pikmin, Starfox and fucking yoshi are first mentioned
>Metroid, Fire Emblem and Zelda are ignored despite having far higher potential
Where are the Pikmin and Yoshi shorts?
They mean 3DCG shit done in the game engine, basically cutscenes. They already did a few for Pikmin.
the star fox zero short was pretty good
As for the Pikmin shorts, they've been out there for ages. Look up "Pikmin Short Movies."
>Make nintendo licensed anime
>pikmin and yoshi
Where the fuck is my Zelda anime
How long has it been since Ninty last had an anime of anything?
I dunno. I mean, it's not like they have an anime based on one of their most beloved franchises that's been running for the past 20 years or anything.
Define well
miyamoto will never let them voice link, ever
Because Metroid to Zelda don't need it as bad as Starfox does.
What are you talking about? Metroid hasn't had a game in years. How could a slightly darker in tone anime coinciding with a new metroid game geared towards remaining older fans but still with wide appeal to bring in younger generations type thing not work?
>Ghibli will never make a LoZ movie
Fuck this gay earth
Zelda is a bit tricky. Yeah there are definitely memorable characters and interesting worlds to explore, but how? Link's journey itself is solitary barring a helper or two. It could be on the more artistic side if they decided to go with that, with the focus being on the world and how it interacts with them, or they could have a more party central story that wouldn't work with typical Zelda. I don't think it's impossible, but there's also a big risk that they'll make some typical shounen bullshit with Link fighting for his friends, complete with Bleach air running easter eggs.
>Not Splatoon, Fire Emblem or Kid Icarus as priorities
Miyamoto please. Star Fox aside the other two are just bad picks.
There have been quite a lot of occasions when a story seems more interesting without than with voice acting. Disney's The Little Mermaid is a great example of this.
Um, the Pokémon show has been around for 20 years.
>no mention of the series with obvious potential
More like Kid Icarus DOWNrising, am I right?
Fire Emblem is perfect anime material.
>animated by Shaft
Wouldn't be that unrealistic.
>Pokemon
>Nintendo
>Link's journey itself is solitary barring a helper or two.
I think this applies even more to Metroid:
I don't see how a Metroid anime would work. I've never played the 3D games but what I remember from Metroid is extremely lonely, silent exploration of a planet with the only sentient intelligent life being enemies.
Yes, Pokemon is a Nintendo franchise you idiot
ZELDA ANIME NAO! It could work. Make it where Zelda goes with Link on his adventure. The get more series iconic companions on the way to defeat Ganon.
No voice Link no problem. He's been mute since birth and navi is there to talk for him. Turns out some prophecy shit made it so that he can only get his voice back when all pieces of the triforce are restored together after defeating Ganon.
>He's been mute since birth and navi is there to talk for him. Turns out some prophecy shit made it so that he can only get his voice back when all pieces of the triforce are restored together after defeating Ganon
Wait, are we allowing nip vidya threads now?
Navi voiced by
Ken Watanabe jpn
Samuel Jackson us
>wantanabe
>not wakamoto
what the fuck
Which studio did this again?
SHAFT.
They did the Palutena's Revolting Dinner shorts too.
Metroid getting an anime would be nice.
>How can I help you, King Dedede?
it advertised the games really well and provided a nice introduction to the character personalities and relationships. I've seen alot of people only show interest in XV until after watcing brotherhood, which was the oppossite of kingsglaive which turned people off.
I unironically liked the Fire Emblem OVAs.
Why are people so butthurt over link speaking? All the manga adaptations just make him a character and works out great.
F-Zero or Fire Emblem, i think.
Well, excuuuuse me, Princess
Metroid is a very "western" series compared to all the other Nintendo major IPs.
IE We're the only ones who really give a damn
Shame, I'd like to see a series about Samus ACTUALLY being a bounty hunter
Just play Other M
GOD NO
HOLY FUCK
Stop over-reacting.
Keep Sakamoto away from the script is a good idea though.
why not do the early samurai jack thing for the zelda anime, most of the episodes have link silent save for some lines uttered here and there
I want the mario rpg games made into anime.
That's the thing. Manga you don't have to hear the voice. After all these years of mute, autists don't want what they fannon in their head as links voice to changed.
I think nipland would do good picking seiyuu. US on the other hand gave us Excuuuuse me Princess fuckboi
>people here don't want comfy Pikmin SoL
What's wrong with you guys?
The Metroid comic was pretty funny
Metroid OVA: Is shot/told from the perspective of the space pirates, with Samus in the role of Terminator.
Or maybe a series of mini-episodes, each told from the perspective of different characters (one is space pirates, another is a federation soldier, another a civilian saved by Samus), and only in the end do we get one from her perspective and a face reveal.
>Still caring about Nintendo since the debacle that was the Wii U
I'm glad I jumped off the ship. Nintendo is garbage now.
I had more or less left Nintendo before then but the only reason I've been keeping up with them recently is the annoucement of two Metroid games.
too fucking pure
Apologies for the Sup Forums reference, but a Zelda series like Samurai Jack could work out really well. BOTW-esque world, Link wanders around Hyrule doing good deeds with a companion who talks for him.
Just don't use the BOTW voices for the dub.
I NEEDUH MONSTA TA CLOBBA DAT DAIR KIRBEH
There was the old drama CD of ALTTP which was entirely in Japanese and was actually very convincing. People didn't freak out at that time.
>the annoucement of two Metroid games.
Wait what?!
>no "all toasters toast toast"
Its real, nigga. Google it. One of them comes out Sept 15 of this year and its in 2D. My fucking dick
>remake
I already own the original game. No thanks. What about the other one?
Sage for off-topic but if you watch the 30 minute Treehouse gameplay video its far removed from the original map (which coincidentally sets it apart from that fan remake that got famous) and has some decently varied gameplay.
The other one is Metroid Prime 4 but no release date yet.
Fire emblem with game of thrones style sex and violence.
Do it Nintendo!
>Metroid Prime 4
I hate this world.
The Prime series was over with the destruction of Dark Samus. There's nowhere else to go from here. It was said by the creator of the games himself.
But they fucking back themselves into a corner with Fusion's ending so they decided to play safe again, just like fucking Other M.
Fuck my life and sage this shit.
I want a Kirby anime.
>what is
>Pikmin
Isn't it spelled Pacman?
