For the location of Gold Tower, I think it's better to write City of Diasoku as is instead of saying in a city on the riverbank of it, eventhought such city does not actually exists. Also, in the process the context of "on the coast of" is missed.

I haven't checked the other one yet, but it seems very likely that Tamamo City is the in-universe name of Takamatsu.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but it's also written the same way as the third of the evil youkai that we got red herring'd with in NoWaYu, Tamamo-no-mae.

I just read up on Daisoku a bit. It seems like it's really just Utazu renamed after its largest river in the same way that Sakaide is simply called Oohashi in the Yuunaverse because of the bridge. I doubt the name Daisoku has any deep mythological background.
So, in short:
Daisoku = Utazu
Sanshuu = Kanonji
Tamamo = Takamatsu
Oohashi = Sakaide
Kouchi and Marugame = Kouchi and Marugame (but why? They don't even pay them tax money)

Well it's canon that Sanshuu used to be called Kanonji so maybe they renamed the cities during the divine era?

by the way, I think it is better to translate (...) directly into (....) instead of "..." as that would be same as translation of 「...」 which would cause lost in translation of whether the line was spoken out or internal monologue

I was wondering about that too, I think they just changed the canon to work in the existence of the KuMeYus. The VN clearly said Karin herself chose to switch to dual swords, whereas this chapter says the Taisha made the decision and all the trainee heroes were practicing with them. It's likely because at the time Karin was supposed to be the only person trained by the Taisha to take Gin's place.

So, we're already getting major retcons then.

That's hardly a major retcon. One of the Taisha mentions that heroes have existed throughout history and protected people in secret. Weren't the WaSuYus the first heroes in a long time to fight the Vertex since NoWaYu?

It's been a while since I've watched the original anime or read WaSuYu, but that was the feeling I got from all the material until now.

I think they're definitely planning to work in a story set in-between NoWaYu and WaSuYu at some point, remember that subtle reference to the "Akamine" family.

The fact that this is a legitimate theory delights me. What a wild, wild franchise.

There's nothing really crazy about it. They live in the future after all with a very limited population with access to divine magic. Science babies isn't farfetched at all. Wakaba and Hinata probably legalized gay marriage too, since all the girls seem to view liking other girls as normal now.

Sonoko being a genetic aberration could probably explain why she could mankai so much

How is Wakaba still alive?

How strong is Yuuna's martial arts? She doesn't seems to lack that much in strength compared with Karin who was trained by Taisha.

She's been training for over 300 years.

Just pure skill wise? Her father taught her martial arts, so she's probably been training since she was young. She's probably been practicing martial arts longer than Karin's been training, however, I doubt that she's been practicing anywhere near as seriously as Karin did while trying to become a Yuusha, which probably evens it out somewhat.

Aside from Sonoko, I think Karin's the most physically fit and hardcore on training of the YuYuYu cast, so I wouldn't be surprised if her pure combat skill was higher than Yuuna's.

As someone with a massive fetish for characters that do good deeds not because, but in spite of their personality, I think I'm bound to love KuMeYu.

Can't wait for the WasshiSono yuri to get ramped up to 11 in the final movie.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, user. The movies have less WasshiSono than the LN so far i.e. they didn't become friends first while Gin was getting examined, the gelato feeding scene was toned down, etc. They have to cram 5 chapters in the last two episodes so I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped something like the futon scene.
