Two cute girls are trying to survive in a world in which seemingly all humans have died or disappeared. They wonder where they should get their food and water from. They meet some other people once in a while. They usually explore some old buildings, factories or other shit. They also like to have fun and do standard CGDCT things. Also there's some supernatural shit (ayy lmao) going on in a few chapters. One girl is a straight man and the other one is an airhead.

It's similar to Kino.

There's 4 volumes plus some unvolumed chapters. Also I'm pretty sure the author is a she

4 volumes, fifth is on the way in about two months I think. It's available online, but only the first 3 and the last 6 or so chapters.
It's absolutely amazing stuff, the current scanlations really don't do it justice. I have no idea what the Yen Press release looks like though.

Also at some point she deleted her pixiv account, and entirely flushed her twitter which is a fuckload of lost art. She basically posts something new every day, some stuff gets deleted only a few minutes after posting. Quite the temperamental artist.

I'm not sure how well this will translate into an anime. Hopefully the visual and sound direction are good otherwise I can see this turning into a poor man's CGDCT.

My favourite thing about the series is that the two girls are wearing different army's uniforms. The post apocalyptic setting is great for slipping in subtle little things like that and not bashing you over the head with it.

Man I thought this was a pretty obscure series. The industry has been really reaching deep lately. Made In Abyss getting adapted was crazy enough. I never in a million years would've thought they'd adapt this.

I can't speak to the quality of the translation in the Yen Press release, but the YP release is printed in a larger format than the original JP version. The art looks really nice on those larger pages.
