A newly released document from the Senate Judiciary Committee says Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled the Trump dossier, wrote an additional memo on the subject of Donald Trump and Russia that was not among those published by BuzzFeed in January 2017.
The newly released document is an unclassified and heavily redacted version of the criminal referral targeting Steele filed on Jan. 4 by Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley, of Iowa, and Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina. It appears to confirm some level of coordination between the extended Clinton circle and the Obama administration in the effort to seek damaging information about then-candidate Trump.

Grassley is now working to unredact this memo per his letter to FBI Director Wray and DOJ Deputy Director Rod Nosenstein this morning:
>“Seeking transparency and cooperation should not be this challenging. The government should not be blotting out information that it admits isn’t secret, and it should not take dramatic steps by Congress and the White House to get answers that the American people are demanding. There are still many questions that can only be answered by complete transparency. That means declassifying as much of the underlying documents as possible,” Grassley said.
Robert Taylor
>nosenstein hahahaha So who redacted Grassley's report, the select committee on intelligence?
Lucas Flores
> On January 19, 2018, an FBI Congressional liaison, Greg Brower, sent a letter claiming that a few of the paragraphs marked as unclassified in our memo contained classified information.

Carter page was a plant, deliberately set up as a suspected spy and the subject of intel surveillance, he was then pulled from storage and sent to volunteer for trump campaign, thus he literally took all the surveillance tools of the US intel services with him into Trump tower.
Subsequent unmasking allowed the #DemFeds to actually spy on those in Trumps inner circle.
Leo Barnes
probably the DOJ. since this new memo is from the senate judiciary committee its extremely unlikely any other senate committee redacted and impossible for any house committee to redact

Straight from swamp (DNC and GOP) sources. So the part that came from 4 chan was the least biased and most reliable piece.

Carter Page was a dude with tenuous but real ties to Russian intelligence. Russia has widespread assets in the USA, that no one should doubt for a second. For some reason, Carter Page was hired by Trump even though the dude had virtually no worthwhile credentials to speak of.
If the Russians had an intelligence asset in the Trump campaign, the FBI was well within their rights to investigate him.

tl;dr
>Nunes memo wasn't overstated, Steele was passing info to media outlets in clear violation of FBI rules! >Fusion told Steele to do so >Clinton camp and sources within the US State Department were feeding him info >Steele has been referred to the DOJ for criminal charges >Trump has not colluded with Russia whatsoever, D's wiretapped him.
Nunes memo is just the tip of the iceberg. Grassley memo seems more substantial because it basically states that Steele told a lot of people in the media that he was working on the Russia dossier and the media was feeding him rumors. Steele started adding these rumors to the dossier without any real verification. Steele had contacts within the Clinton state department, giving him rumors as well. This is also how pissgate was picked up by the media.
All the memo does is reinforce everything we already know. Does this mean heads will roll? Maybe. That's just a bonus. In information warfare, you try to hide your assets and techniques as much as possible. People conjecturing or hypothesizing can always be downplayed/rejected.
But now, neither the FBI, the DOJ, nor the DNC can refute the shit they did because it's out in the open.
And with, supposedly, five more memos on the way, things will get interesting in the coming months.
John Fisher
>Carter Page was a dude with tenuous but real ties to Russian intelligence Yes, carefully cultivated ties, deliberately cultivated, to make him a very real suspect and to convince judges to allow surveillance, British intel has been doing this for decades.
This 'suspect' with 'ties' is then subject to various warrants etc and can be used as a backdoor method of spyingup on those who have no such ties and who a judge would never sanction surveillance upon.
Asher Kelly
that sounds like complete conspiracy thinking.
Nathaniel Hughes
Last week, his name surfaced in a letter to the Democratic National Committee from Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican. The letter listed nearly 40 names and entities. The two senators asked the DNC to disclose any communications with them from March 2016 to January 2017. The list included the well-known Russia collusion figures: Fusion GPS, the investigation firm that hired former British spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the infamous Russia-Trump dossier; Fusion’s founders and some heretofore never mentioned Fusion researchers; Mr. Steele’s associates at his London Orbis Business Intelligence firm; and Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Fusion has said it paid Mr. Steele $160,000 with money from the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC to write a dossier it hoped would destroy the Trump campaign. “Cody is Cody Shearer, a longtime Clinton family operative — his brother was an ambassador under Bill Clinton and his now-deceased sister was married to Clinton State Department official Strobe Talbott — who was in close contact with Blumenthal,” ProPublica reported. Mr. Shearer’s name also surfaced that year in hacked emails from Mr. Blumenthal during Mrs. Clinton’s tenure at the State Department. >washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jan/31/cody-shearer-sidney-blumenthal-emerge-russia-dossi/

James Bennett
>Where the fuck is Sessions during all of this?
Dragging his heels. It's clear he's not going to do shit about this.
Can't investigate anyone in the DoJ, FBI or the DNC, that would look like some sort of political witch hunt! So Steele is going to be the scape goat, he'll get some charges, probably won't be extradited, Mueller will wrap things up and the media will forget about this by March.
Daniel Young
>Where the fuck is Sessions during all of this? Why isn’t anyone being prosecuted? I don’t understand what this guy has done since being appointed. None of them can move. The swamp is sophisticated. They've compromised even the good guys - the non-pedos, by getting them to do questionable things.
Mueller - patriot and vietnam war vet had to be part of Hillary's uranium deal with Russia.
Sessions and Trump can't make a move without hurting the good people as well. All this has to be done with surgical precision.
In information warfare, precision is achieved when there's sufficient information to conclusively, without any doubt, vindicate an individual.
So the process of clearing the swamp will be slow, but deliberate.

Lets break this down > Carter Page was a dude with tenuous but real ties to Russian intelligence.
Yes, which he fully disclosed and the FBI capitalized on in 2013 to fish out Russian actors.
> Russia has widespread assets in the USA, that no one should doubt for a second.
Agreed, read "Sword and the Shield" to explain that. Doesn't mean he's one.
>For some reason, Carter Page was hired by Trump even though the dude had virtually no worthwhile credentials to speak of.
Carter Page actually reached out to him in Dec 2015, and wasn't a full time member of the campaign but an outside advisor. He literally offered to work for Trump free, not the other way around.
>If the Russians had an intelligence asset in the Trump campaign, the FBI was well within their rights to investigate him.
No, they didn't. Especially since the information they used to investigate him was identical to Podesta or even Bill Clinton. Both of them worked with Russians in the past and had business dealings with. Clinton even spoke at an event, much like Page. Going to Russia and talking with Russians isn't an offense of any sort.
Jace Jenkins
People say no Dossier no FISA when in truth it's no Carter Page no FISA

Probably making backroom deals to let the guilty resign instead of being prosecuted. The system needs to be purged and rebuilt. There are enough judicial officers in the state levels to replace every corrupt DOJ official. Same goes with the FBI.
Ryder Davis
>washingtonexaminer.com/dossier-author-steele-wrote-another-anti-trump-memo-was-fed-info-by-clinton-connected-contact-obama-state-department/article/2648099 Neither Trump nor anyone else really has any idea who or what the FBI and DOJ are investigating, because it's a secret investigation. Trump deserves to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, and Mueller can't prove him guilty of something he didn't do. And all this "Memo" business only affects a single three-month period of surveillance of Carter Page, so even if there was grounds to censure the FISA court because of a poorly-formed warrant, the proper procedure would be for Carter Page to appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States, who would then censure the FISA Court and order the removal of evidence from the record that SCOTUS feels was illegally obtained.
But I'm still confused, how does a FISA warrant taken out for Carter Page affect the President?
Why would he allegedly obstruct Justice and make himself look guilty as can be, just to protect Carter Page?
Even if the President is innocent, the act of taking extralegal active measures to impede the flow of information in an active counterintelligence investigation into Carter Page by attacking investigators without cause outside a Court of Law, and calling for the premature end of that investigation without cause, actually ties him solidly to Page by his own hands where there may not have been hard evidence of a tie before.

you don't really know what connections Carter Page actually had. If it turns out there were none, that's a story. We can't presume he didn't have any without being privy to all the information. Just looking at his resume, seeks unlikely the dude wasn't some sort of Russian asset.
