Why is joining the military worth it today?

I looked at 3 branches and it doesnt seem that great for simple minded people. Meaning people who just want to serve their country without being forced to kill, and just want to have a somewhat civil role in the armed forces.

I feel too stupid to make it in civil engineering.

Also I think their websites are poorly designed to give transparency towards the details of specialization.

Why are the Marines the best? I think being a cargo specialist sounds easy and somewhat safer. I dont like the idea of being on a ship in these chaotic times. Cargo planes are high priority and are protected. Ships can be sitting ducks with todays tech

find a comfy job with a nice bonus. for me /pol

This navigation is retarded. and so am I

It's worth it so that people thank you for your service.
Also, thank you for your future service.

So you basically just want to be a welfare whore? Why not just make a few illegitimate children and take the welfare directly?

lol no dude. I would love it if our army evolved more as creators of abundance and protecting the earth and water from polutants and garbage.

Oh, you’re actually retarded.

Well the problem is that /ourguys in uniform have been run by bad people for a long time... the soldier has been bringing chaos while the public does nothing to bring accountability to our leaders and the needless war.

yup.

I want to join the army so i can be trained. i want to be trained so i can do good.

I got no idea how to face adversity head on effectively.

its worth it. its basically a 3-4 year experience of being shoved into a group of mostly retards, and put into extremely shitty situations to see how you react. it builds you into a fucking man and gives you confidence in yourself and your abilities. You'll also learn how to deal with all different kinds of people. plus you're gonna want some combat experience for when the racewar kicks off. the GI Bill is pretty sweet too.

looks like alot of you faggots would excel at this job. Crazy kids and you chase pedo planes and what not

whats the best way to spend time in japan or northern europe? Might as well pick up a barbie while im fueling the ZOG

>Well the problem is that /ourguys in uniform have been run by bad people for a long time... the soldier has been bringing chaos while the public does nothing to bring accountability to our leaders and the needless war.
So you want to be a part of that...
You actually are retarded

you don't really get to pick your duty station. its luck of the draw. they might send you to japan or germany or hawaii, or they might send you to louisiana or georgia.

I can only talk about the British Army.
>Join at16
Don't fuck around sign up for every non infantry training course possible.
Travel the world on the tax payers money {Training not deployment}
Much higher than average pay
Rent & expenses cheaper than than market rates -can actually save money
Whole support system designed to keep you in work once you leave.
>Retire at 50 on a full pay pension
I'd recommend it to anyone thats average and wants a full normie experience.

having all your limbs and mental is overrated anyway
go for it

It's great for simple minded people. The dumber you are, the better.

What if i was a previously violent idiot that did appallingly at school, is the infantry route really that bad?

>The only roles in the military are combat roles.

If you did shit at school then join the REME. At least you will come out with some qualifications which will net you a job the very day you decide to leave.

This.
When you say that rent and shit is cheaper in the military it is worth pointing out that your own apartment and pretty much an all you can eat buffet for Breakfast, Dinner and Lunch only costs you less than an hour's wage and then after that everything is profit.

Any idiot can join and do some piece of shit pog job. But if you are actually intelligent, score at least a 110 GT score on your asvab, be in excellent physical shape, have goals, and make good connections there are may awesome opportunities in the military

It's not, unless you actually want to become a welfare queen.

>Meaning people who just want to serve their country without being forced to kill, and just want to have a somewhat civil role in the armed forces.
>I wanna work in HR

If you dont want to do anything combat related, join the Coast Guard. Easiest branch. Next easiest is Air Force then Navy. Army you have an OK chance of being uncomfortable, Marines that chance goes to like 90%.

>serve their country
do not join unless your country is israel

I was in my own country military and it's pretty fuckin shit.
Both in that we have jack shit and top dudes spend government cash on new shiny guns which are exactly the same that we already had just with some plastic shit tacked on them (g36) instead of actual proper training/instructors.
Only once in 3 years did we get to use the 30 airsoft guns we have across the whole battalion and learned some shit we have never even trained or prepared for. Chances are situation s similiar in US and elsewhere regarding training. If you want serious combat training join your local airsoft club and some outdorsmens/ fisher/ hikers club for that survival training.

Not particularly, its just having stuff to do once you retire. I've had relatives go from pure chav to officer in 15 years.
Not having fucked up knees by 40 is a good idea to avoid Infantry.
Also when you get over 65, you can always do the Chelsea pensioner thing and save your family a lot of costs on your care.

GL getting into REME cause you just won't.

>people who just want to serve their country without being forced to kill, and just want to have a somewhat civil role in the armed forces
>I feel too stupid

You fucking dipshit, the vast majority of the military is non-combat oriented. Do some fucking research if you want to be a leech POG.

Is that our savior Sergey? Fellow stinkie linkie from biz?

...

Please no, don't feed the war machine.

Don't post link memes on pol

I hear Army 18X is the best contract for non-combat support. It's Motor Transport Operator which means you basically learn to load and drive the trucks they use to transport things.

take the shadowfork pill marine

Im actually a First Sergeant Link Marine

yea Im looking for comfy jobs and ideas. I was thinking about the carpentry and mason specialist.

I want to build my own village somewhere in the US maybe in New Hampshire or Vermont. I just want to live somewhere in america and live a well thought out self sustainable lifestyle with scientific and engineering as a community hobby
