Paris doesn't represent France real well, as far it becomes a global and multicultural worldwide megalopole of 12m people, when the country side is filled with 36000+ little villages and towns. Parisian arrogance and stressful lifestyle are mocked everywhere else in France.
Still has more charm and "cachet" than many capitals imo.
