Honestly Naruto is very overrated. The story is just not interesting. The chuunin exams have some interesting battles but when they just fuck around in the forest, and go on random missions, it's completely boring. Sasuke is an idiot kid who's not interesting up to the final battle where he finally becomes reasonable. The whole kabuto thing is just stupid. I literally can not think about a single villain that was interesting. Zabuza arc was completely useless and kimimaro n co are just generic anime villains. The only arc that has interesting moments is when he and Jiraya fuck around for like a million episodes, which incidentally are the only chapters that advance the plot. The whole of the original naruto is useless to the main story arc and the show is just about a bunch of unreasonable people acting unreasonably.

All of the problems in naruto could be solved by literally just having conversations. Muh "but YOU WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND" cliche is literally being a special snowflake. I haven't gotten around to reading the manga yet but so far boku no hero academia is pretty good. It's way more comparable to OPM though.
