Shinsekai Yori has shitty parts early on but the best part is the last third when it turns into a survival horror and we finally see adult cantus users in action + squealer's revolution is fascinating. Nah, that's not even the problem, it's a good show.
The problem is that evafags overrate it so much that people end up feeling disappointed when it doesn't meet their expectations.
Also, when you say you don't like a show, most fanbases will just shrug and say "ok, that's like your opinion, man". With the Evangelion fanbase it's different, they will say "kys you retard, get the fuck out here, dumb faggit".
Its own fanbase is making people hate the show.

Probably why i quit after episode 6.
