Why was he such a senseless asshole with Saber. Why did she just take it...

Why was he such a senseless asshole with Saber. Why did she just take it? The super utilitarian who'll make everything he did all right when he saves his 6 billion couldn't suck it up for a week and use his best weapon effectively?

>he hates what happened to her in the legend and her for going along with it

This goes way beyond that. Was it just because the narrative says Saber had to get bullied left and right?

Because Saber is shit.

Your fecal matter

He saw her as just a tool that would disappear in a couple of weeks, so he saw no point in getting attached to it.
He also always had distrust in anything of magical nature.

>Was it just because the narrative says Saber had to get bullied left and right?
But yeah basically this. Saber states in the VN she only spoke to Kerry three times so they had to keep it like that.

His plans pretty much worked so it would have been stupid for Saber not to obey considering she needed him to win the Grail. He had no real incentive to be nice to Saber and Saber never truly going against him proves it.

I'm saying this was beyond not caring about using her; this was some strong personal grudge

Fate is just bad.

And if it weren't for the Grail being corrupted by Avenger things might have gone all right in the end.

He is an untrusting fuck that has worked most of his life alone. The only person he seems to even slightly trust is Maya for some reason.

Saber dealt with it as per her chivalric code. She had a master to answer to and wanted to serve as best she could even if her master was cold towards her.

Did you not watch the series? It is outright stated to not just be

>he hates what happened to her in the legend and her for going along with it

He despises the concept of heroic spirits in general, because the stories they leave behind beautify every kind of human misery and, in his eyes, cause humanity to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again (war, genocide, etc) instead of learning from them.

An additional aspect of it is that Kiritsugu's hostility also stems in part from Saber's similarity to him. I'm not talking about the whole >muh chivalry thing, but pretty much everything else. Both have a massive martyr complex, both had to continually make decisions about who should be saved and who should die, both fell into despair when they realized that achieving their respective goals (save Britain, redeem the entire world) would require a miracle beyond human power, and both of them failed because they did not understand the hearts of people.

Basically, it is not just a personal hostility but a multilayered ideological one.

Why is fate so much better than other anime

Kerry was such shit. Surprised his son wasn't as beta as him.

From a non-plot view, I thought Zero was written by someone else and they were told Kerry only interacted with Saber about 12 times or something ridiculous so they had to work around it.

I did read that on Sup Forums so could be bullshit.

It was written by the Urobutcher.

Nasu gave him some key plot points that *had* to be included in the novel along with a lose direction of how he wanted the story to unfold.

He then left Urobutcher to his own devices.

It was only 3 times.

...

This. Instant regret.

The entire purpose of Fate/Zero was for everyone to taking a big steaming shit on Sabrt

Best parts of Fate/Zero were Rider and Waver, and Gilgamesh and Kotomine. Everything else was just okay.

>for some reason
Penis in vagina

>Best parts of Fate/Zero were Rider and Waver, and Gilgamesh and Kotomine.
absolutely patrician taste

>not liking Adventures of Loli Rin

That statement is very correct, but it's also a lot of fun to see Fastwheels and Uncle Wormy suffer

dumb filler

>Saber was restrained by an octo monster
>Kariya effortlessly killed an octo monster

Kariya can kill Servants confirmed

If pic related happened would the water be deadly?

He had several close shaves he mostly escaped on luck (Assassin, Blob, Kirei). Actually if Kirei managed to track him anytime before the final battle he'd be a dead man without Avalon

Kirei was keeping tabs on everyone, including Kerry, until Tohsaka made him mob rush Iskandar.

One of the best Heroic Spirits in the hands of one of the shittiest masters

>We have Saber, the strongest servant
>The grail is ours
>Oh she fucked up and got hurt in her first fight
>Now she can't fight at full power or use her noble phantasm

Fuck Saber

Exactly, he was still in soldier mode at that point, soon after he was full evil. He did manage to find Kariya when he wanted to

How would he have done with assassin or caster?

It ain't the master's fault. Unless they're extremely good, Berserker is gonna drain the hell outta them and be hard to control. He even very nearly died to Via Expunginato in the first fight and only lived cause the final blow was off.

Lancelot is very good as a Saber, meh as Berserker.

That was kind of the point. Kariya couldn't even handle a Servant without worms, Grandpa Worm giving him Berserker was pure sadism.

More like fuck Butcher's writing

He potentially would have died to Gil too if Gil hadn't been called back.

Just as good. Assassin is the perfect fit for his personality and Caster would have gone quite well with his planning.

It would have been nice if she had not been handicapped like that. That shit already happened in F/SN since Shirou couldn't give her mana properly, so a repeat wasn't necessary.

Why do people here say that Isaknder is bad servant?

Reality Marble aside, his Noble Phantasms aren't all that spectacular.

It's not like he's awful, but there's a lot of people he just can't stand up to.

Including Medusa, funnily enough. He's not immune to her petrification.

Thinking about it, from F\SN and F\Z alone he could only kill what, 4-6 servants?

From F/sn he could handle Fake Assassin but I think that's about it. All the rest have some way of countering him or messing with his Reality Marble.

...

He could probably beat Caster unless she's pulling some crazy sneaky shit I haven't thought of

He hates magic.

You mean stabbing his dumb ass with Rule Breaker? Very likely. For a supposedly great general, Big Gay Al isn't very great generally in Fate Zero or in the games he appears in. He's been made to be more of an overconfident brawler than shrewd master tactician which would mess him up in a fight against something like Caster.

Asuming Ionioi Hetairoi is activated from the get go:

Can kill:
Sasaki
Cursed arm
100 face
Medusa under Shinji

Maybe can kill
Diarmuid
Medea
Lancelot
Gilles
EMIYA

Everyone else he would either have no way of damaging or they have strong enough stuff to counter him.

I want to bully Saber

>Grand Order proved his ideals were right and he would become a Hero of Justice, but then a counter guardian who would kill Angry Manjew.
>All it took was not letting that bitch Iri ruin his life.
Really makes you think.

>Cursed arm
Only if that Hassan doesn't pop his heart first. I don't think Iskandar has much resistance to curses. I highly doubt he could take out Lancelot except via attrition (draining his Master dry).

He was disappointed Saber wasn't a dude.

>failed because they did not understand the hearts of people.
Kiri failed because the damn Grail was corrupt.

Why didn't Kotomine save an assassin or two?

Even if it hadn't been his wish couldn't be granted, though. The Grail just isn't that kind of device. It can't grant miracles, just give you a whole bunch of energy to use as you wish.

>Only if that Hassan doesn't pop his heart first. I don't think Iskandar has much resistance to curses.
I don't remeber much about how exactly his np works, but doesn't it have a range limit?
To be fair he cursed arm could probably just pull the same shit he did FGO and release shaitan.

Which also reminds how would Caster's rule breaker and FZ Lancer's anti-magic spear even work within RM? Or alternatively what happens if you activate UBW within IH?

Fate is fecal matter.

Do you have the rest?

>flips Kerry's philosophy entirely on its head
>gives him the ultimate scenario where his philosophy would actually work
What was Angry Manjew thinking?

The anti-magic spear wouldn't be affected by being inside an RM, nor would it harm the RM; RMs aren't really magic in the traditional sense, they're something more primitive.
>Or alternatively what happens if you activate UBW within IH?
The one activated second would take precedence over the earlier one depending on the bounds. I'm basing this on the fact that the qualities that make life suitable for humanity are technically Gaia's Reality Marble (which is what Ea breaks through to expose the primordial Earth much as it did with IH), so assumedly human-soul RMs can nest.

Manjew just wants to watch the world burn.

this is supreme taste

She'd have to get close to him though, surely even he isn't stupid enough to allow her to stab him

All me

Move Diarmuid and Lancelot to for sure kill. They could only fight for so long before getting dogpiled (Lancelot would for sure run out of batteries and Dearg would do shit against an RM). Rule breaker's effects are questionable on one so we can't say but she can fly and avoid everything but the bulls, and Shinji Medusa could still win provided she boosted her mana with Bloodfort beforehand (without she wouldn't have the energy to use NPs so she's boned)

Might as well add that if IH is NOT immediately summoned (he wouldn't just call it out for nothing) Cursed Arm Hassan can potentially instakill him, and the others have a better chance as well.

He's slower than average, sucks in melee, pretty easy to goad on, and Medea has a ton of warping and illusion spells. Not saying it's guaranteed but it's feasible.

Saber should totally have fucked his wife then as payback.

>Was it just because the narrative says Saber had to get bullied left and right?

Well what impression did you get from the banquet of kings?

he wouldn't care
he's just take off his coat and go to bed right next to them

I don't think they would take too kindly to be used like that.
You really don't want to be master of assassin who holds a grudge towards you.

...

Wasn't all that worse than how she ignored Mordred.

It's one Assassin, with the overall power of one Assassin. Having like three remaining bodies of Hundred-Face would be like having a spare Kirei-level Servant; it wouldn't be that useful. Also, they didn't have the choice of 'saving' any of the Assassin bodies - nobody knew what Ionioi Hetairoi was until it was too late.

why did UTW not finish UBW's 13-25 bd's

they died

i really wanted to rewatch UBW but my autism won't allow it

First post best post

You always could have kept one for reconnaissance.

Why did Manjew get special treatment when he was absorbed by the grail?

Boku wa..

>The Grail just isn't that kind of device.
Solomon and founder of Chaldea + Romani are laughing at you.

It gave infinite money and it turned Solomon, King of Magis into a normal human. The Grail actually fucking works, just dumb asses either corrupting it or trying to stop someone from trying to obtain their wish.

chaldea grail is different from fuyuki grail

If you try to eat a large rock, your body's digestive system will not be able to digest the rock and it will remain stuck in your body. Same theory applies to AM and the Fuyuki Grail.

And that post is how we know that you haven't read the material
